Chapter 45 You Live with Her
The gathering of the four ended on a sour note.
Josephine had a stern face, and Stuart remained silent. Seeing this, Jair nudged Stuart and said, "Go home with Josephine."
Stuart suppressed his mixed feelings and wanted to push the wheelchair. Just then, his phone rang.
He saw the caller ID and immediately answered, "Doris?"
Jair frowned and looked at Josephine.
Sure enough, Josephine smiled with sarcasm.
After a few words, Stuart hung up the phone and went to push the wheelchair. "I'll take you home first."
Josephine pressed the switch. "Mr. Haustia, there's no need. You can go about your business."
Stuart explained, "She has something..."
"Stuart," Jair called out, "what are you doing?"
Without hesitation, Stuart looked at Jair. "She really has something. I'll leave first, and you can take her home."
With that, he left first.
Robin smiled knowingly from the side.
Josephine glanced at him, and Robin looked up at the sky. "I didn’t do anything this time."
Jair rarely took time off, and he didn't expect to deal with such matters during his vacation.
He looked at Josephine and said, "Josephine, I'll take you home."
"Thank you."
Josephine didn't say anything else.
Jair pushed her, not knowing what to say.
A couple's quarrel was a small matter. However, Stuart shouldn't have betrayed Josephine. He was wrong.
After they arrived at the parking lot, Robin suddenly said, "Jair, let me take her. It's on my way. Your home is to the south, and you 'll have to go out of your way if you take her."
Upon hearing this, Josephine said, "Jair, you don't have to bother."
Finally, Josephine got into Robin's car.
As soon as she got in, she looked out the window and didn't want to say a word.
Robin drove, glancing at her from time to time.
He couldn't help but say, "I didn't take that photo."
Josephine chuckled softly, "Does it matter now?"
Robin said, "You and Stuart are not suitable for each other. Although my words upset you, they are the truth."
Josephine didn't say anything. After a long while, she made a sound of agreement.
As they neared the Haustia Manor, Robin couldn't help but ask, "Do you have any plans?"
"What plans?"
"Do you want a divorce?" Robin added, "I just feel that it's meaningless for you to continue like this. And a woman's youth is short. Are you willing to continue wasting time?"
"Have you forgotten that Stuart and I have a business marriage?" Josephine said. "To some extent, it's not up to me to get a divorce."
"It's simple. After you divorce, those projects will run as usual. Anyway, you were once a couple, and Stuart won't be heartless."
Josephine didn't say anything.
Robin touched his nose and continued, "And we've known each other for so many years. If you need help, you can tell me, and I can help you too."
Josephine looked at him in surprise.
Robin always liked to talk nonsense.
Josephine didn't expect him to say that.
However, Josephine didn't believe his words.
After saying those words, Robin felt very uncomfortable.
He was about to say something else when Josephine's phone rang.
She answered the call and asked, "Who is this?"
She heard William's voice. "Josie, it's me. Do you receive the flowers?"
"Flowers?" Josephine was taken aback and quickly understood William's meaning. "Are you William? Did you send me the flowers?"
"Yes, I returned to the country," William laughed, "I arrive at noon, and I have something in the afternoon, so I could only send you a bouquet of flowers. I just finished my busy schedule."
The flowers were from William, not Stuart.
Josephine told Liam to throw them in the trash without even looking at them.
But even if they were from William, she wouldn't accept them.
She didn't know why William would send her flowers.
Before Josephine could speak, William asked, "Is your foot better? Do you have time to have dinner with me tomorrow?"
William said, "I plan to settle down in the Hustalia."
Josephine replied, "Welcome. I'll check with Claudia if she's available tomorrow, and we can welcome you together."
"Well, I await your message. "
After ending the call, Josephine noticed Robin staring at her.
"Focus on driving," she said.
Robin asked, "Who sends you flowers? William? Is he back from abroad? Why don't I know him?"
Josephine found his reaction odd. "What's it to you?"
Robin was taken aback. "Why have you changed?"
Josephine explained, "I was blind before, but now I can see."
Robin was at a loss for words. He felt as if Josephine was insulting him. He dropped Josephine off at the Haustia Manor and added, "I’ll keep my promises."
Josephine later realized he meant he could help her. However, Josephine didn't care. If she wanted a divorce, it wouldn't be that simple. Todd and Esther wouldn't agree. However, if Stuart proposed a divorce, it would be different.
So, Josephine decided to plan this slowly. After returning home, Josephine called Claudia. Claudia was also surprised to hear about William's return.
"Do you think he came back for you?" Claudia asked.
Josephine replied, "What are you thinking? He's outstanding, and I'm a married woman. He's back for business, so don't overthink it."
"But he sent you flowers!" Josephine chuckled,
"I'll get ready for bed. Goodnight."
Just as she hung up, Stuart called her. Josephine answered the phone, saying coldly,
"Mr. Haustia?"
Stuart felt angry. "Josephine, do you find this intersting?"
"Mr. Haustia, I'm not as insteresting as your lover," Josephine retorted. "Why are you calling me?"
"Doris is scalded with hot water, and I take her to the hospital," Stuart explained. "As a doctor, you should understand."
"She should have called an ambulance when she called you," Josephine said. After saying that, she felt it was unnecessary to continue the conversation.
"I'm sorry, I don't understand." She wanted to hang up.
Stuart sensed her intention and quickly added, "Josephine, if you dare hang up, I won't let you off."
Feeling foolish, Josephine looked down on herself and asked, "Do you have anything else?"
Stuart asked, "When Grandfather got burned last time, I remember you used a medicine that worked really well. What is it?"
It turned out that Stuart called Josephine because of Doris. Josephine took a deep breath and said the name of the burn medicine.
Stuart said, "Okay, you..."
He felt that what Robin said in the private room was wrong. He wanted to refute it, but he didn't know what to say. He tried to say something now, but he felt it was not the right time. Therefore, he said, "Wait for me to come back."
Josephine sneered, "You don't need to come back. You can live with Doris!" After that, she hung up the phone.
Stuart held the phone, and Doris walked over. "Stuart, what's the matter? Does Josephine tell you?"
