Chapter 107 Introducing a Man to You

Stuart glared at him. he said impatiently, "Cut the crap. I need to ask you something."

Robin looked confused. He asked, "What do you want to ask? Why are you hesitating?"

Stuart glanced up; Josephine had already turned the corner and disappeared.

"Forget it; take Doris back," he said.

"Wait!" Robin called out as Stuart started to leave. He asked again, "What do you mean? Are you tired of Doris and want to get back with Josephine?"

"Get back with her?" Stuart scoffed, "Where'd you get that idea?"

He never really cared about Josephine.

Robin sighed in relief. He iterated, "Exactly, she doesn't give you gifts or care about you. She's not worth your time. Actually, I want to introduce you to someone."

"Who?" Stuart asked, raising an eyebrow, curious.

"She's a distant relative of mine. She studied abroad and just got back, looking for work in Hustalia," Robin explained.

Stuart wasn't interested. He said, "We'll talk about it later."

He took long strides downstairs, just in time to see the family car leaving, trailing exhaust.

He got into his car and drove home. When he arrived, he saw Josephine getting out of the family car, about to get into her own.

Just got back and already going out again?

Stuart got out of his car, walked quickly, and opened the passenger door of Josephine's car, then sat inside.

Josephine had received a call from Claudia on the way, asking if she could pick her up from the station.

Josephine had time, but she didn't expect Stuart to come back and get into her car.

She started the car, expressionless. She said to him, "Get out."

"Where are you going?" Stuart asked and didn't move.

"Where I go has nothing to do with you," Josephine replied.

"You called me home, and now you're going out?" Stuart asked.

Josephine turned to look at him. She retorted, "You called me to pick you up. I didn't ask you to come home. You can do whatever you want."

"Josephine, you—" He stopped mid-sentence when he saw a familiar velvet bag. "This is..."

He picked it up and looked at it; it was the gift he had given Josephine.

Stuart was furious. He remarked angrily, "You just leave it here? Do you know how much this costs? Someone else's gift, and you just leave it there?"

Josephine felt a bit guilty; she hadn't intentionally left it there but had simply forgotten about it.

"If you don't want it," Stuart said sternly, opening the window and throwing it out. "Then don't keep it!"

"Are you crazy?!" Josephine looked at him in disbelief. She said frantically, "What are you doing?!"

"What do you think I'm doing?" Stuart looked at her coldly. He said accusingly, "Josephine, giving gifts to other men behind your husband's back, don't you feel guilty?"

Josephine calmed down for a few seconds before speaking, "Then next time I give someone a gift, I'll let you know."

"Fine, very good." Stuart suddenly grabbed her wrist. He warned, "Josephine, if you make me angry, you won't have a good outcome."

Josephine looked at him indifferently. She remarked, "Why do you have to be like this? Isn't it good for us to stay out of each other's way? I didn't question you when you gave Doris a gift."

"That's different!" Stuart roared. "I had someone randomly buy her a gift, but you? I heard Liam's gift is a limited edition and has long been sold out. How much effort did you put into getting it for him?"

Josephine said, "We exchange gifts every year, from childhood to now. Stuart, if you're looking for trouble, at least find a reasonable excuse."

Stuart shouted, "He has no sense of boundaries, and you're married!"

"Do you even know what boundaries are?" Josephine found him particularly amusing. She quipped, "Just because your family has more money, you think you're better than me? You can do things I can't?"

Stuart replied, "Of course. The entire Kalmien family depends on me. If you don't want to please me, fine, but don't do things to piss me off."

Josephine took a deep breath. She asked calmly, "What do you want?"

"I give you gifts; you should give me gifts too." Stuart let go of her and adjusted his tie. He remarked, "What do you say?"

Josephine didn't react at first, thinking for a few seconds before incredulously asking, "You want a gift?"

Stuart indeed had that intention, but being so bluntly exposed by Josephine made him feel a bit ashamed.

His tone was uneasy. He pointed out, "Do I have to say it? I was so busy abroad and still brought you a bracelet!"

Josephine was stunned for a few more seconds before saying, "You just threw it away."

"Go find it!" Stuart wasn't worried about the millions. He said with pettiness, "I gave it to you, and you dare lose it? Josephine, I'll kill you!"

Wasn't it you, Mr. Haustia, who threw it away?

Josephine looked at him like he was crazy for a few seconds, then got out of the car and picked up the velvet bag.

Luckily, it was at home; the bag was conspicuous; otherwise, the millions-worth gift would have been gone.

Stuart asked, "Why don't you wear it?"

Seeing Josephine get back in the car and casually place the bag aside, Stuart got angry again.

Josephine patiently explained, "I can't wear it to work. You can get out now; I need to pick up Claudia; her train is arriving."

Stuart retorted, "She can take a cab herself. You don't need to pick her up!"

Josephine didn't respond.

Stuart said irritably, "Drive!"

Josephine said, "Get out!"

Stuart uttered, "I bought this car! Why should I get out!"

Josephine asked, "Then why are you coming along?"

Stuart said, "Because I want to!"

Josephine didn't want to argue with him; it was too exhausting. It would hurt her heart too.

Besides, Claudia's train was about to arrive; she needed to leave quickly.

She didn't have time to argue with Stuart.

She started the car and drove to the station, not saying a word along the way.

The car was filled with Josephine's faint fragrance, a scent Stuart liked, which made him feel at ease and comfortable.

He relaxed and closed his eyes to rest.

Josephine was still a bit late; Claudia had already come out and was about to message her when she saw her car.

She was holding her luggage and directly opened the back door, getting in. She said, relieved, "Josephine! You came just in time! I just got out!"

Josephine turned to look at her and smiled. She asked, "I was still a bit late. Have you eaten? What do you want to eat?"

"I've eaten!" Claudia waved her hand, putting her luggage away before saying, "I have big news to tell you!"

Josephine knew Claudia had a bit of a childish personality; the so-called big news might just be something fun or delicious she discovered.

She asked, "What's the big news?"

Claudia said, "I met a neighbor! He's so handsome! Josephine, can I introduce him to you? He's also a doctor! You two would be a perfect match!"

Josephine was so scared she wanted to cover her mouth.

Claudia was busy organizing her luggage in the back and had no idea Stuart was sitting in the passenger seat.

Josephine hadn't had time to say anything when Claudia continued, "I saw Doris's Instagram, always showing off how good Stuart is to her! He even gave her an expensive bag for the holidays! Being a mistress, she's not ashamed but proud!"
