Chapter 29 Betrayal
Stuart suddenly paused and looked down at Robin. He averted his gaze.
Robin took a sip of his drink. "I'm serious."
Stuart's tone turned cold. "If you have nothing else, you can leave."
Robin set down his bottle. "I didn't agree with you marrying her..."
"Robin Bailey." Stuart's voice was low but filled with indifference. "Go out."
Robin stood up abruptly. "I considered you as my friend; that's why I said it! Your wife has long been unfaithful to you!"
Stuart looked at Robin unfriendly.
Robin angrily took out his phone and handed it to Stuart. "Don't you believe me? We've been friends for years. I've never harmed you!"
Stuart didn't take Robin's phone. He lowered his head to look at the screen.
The photo wasn't particularly clear. Depending on the angle, it was obviously someone secretly taking pictures of Josephine.
But Stuart could vaguely see that the man in the photo was Liam.
The woman in the passenger seat had an exquisite face and skin. She was Josephine.
"They are kissing!" Robin gritted his teeth. "Are you going to continue to endure it?"
Stuart appeared calm. It was hard to know his true emotions.
Stuart casually tossed his cufflinks aside. The gemstone cufflinks, worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, made a crisp sound.
Seeing Stuart so calm, Robin took a deep breath. "Even if your marriage to Josephine was for a business deal, your family values reputation."
Stuart unbuttoned his shirt. His fingers were strong and beautiful.
Robin watched as Stuart elegantly and slowly unbuttoned his shirt.
"You!" Robin said angrily, "I shouldn't have interfered in your marriage!"
After saying this, Robin prepared to leave.
Stuart said, "Stop."
Robin became happy. "I told you she was that kind of woman..."
"Delete it."
"What?" Robin was stunned.
Stuart turned around and looked at Robin coldly. "Delete this photo. Why do you have this photo? Tell the person who gave you this photo that if I see this photo from elsewhere, I won't let him off."
"Stuart Haustia!" Robin pointed at Stuart but didn't accuse him. "You're amazing!"
Robin angrily slammed the door and left.
Stuart took off his clothes and went to take a shower. He quickly finished his shower and brought his computer to work.
His phone rang. Stuart answered the call and ordered, "Notify all shareholders to work overtime tonight. They must get the job done."
Ronald was puzzled but didn't dare to ask why. "Yes."
"Also, apply for the return flight. If there isn't one tomorrow, buy me the earliest flight ticket for tomorrow."
"Mr. Haustia, are you going back tomorrow? But..."
"So, all issues must be resolved tonight."
"Yes!"
After hanging up the phone, Ronald was very nervous.
The next work plan has been scheduled for a week later.
However, Stuart was planning to go back tomorrow.
Ronald didn't know how he would finish a week's work in one night.
His mind was racing. Ronald informed all the shareholders and leaders.
Stuart didn't sleep all night. Fortunately, the flight was successfully applied for. He went back directly by private jet.
Doris was confused as to why Stuart suddenly went back.
But Stuart looked exhausted and fell asleep as soon as he got on the plane. Doris and Robin looked at each other in confusion.
Doris didn't know what happened, but Robin guessed that Stuart's
hasty return might have something to do with Josephine.
Although Doris didn't know what happened, she became gloomy.
She had someone send the photo to Robin and thought Robin would take action. However, Robin threatened the person who sent him the picture.
Robin said that the photo couldn't be spread. Otherwise, he wouldn't let the person who spread the photo off.
The person naturally knew that he couldn't offend the influential Bailey family, so he hurriedly came to find Doris.
Doris didn't know that Robin had already told Stuart. She was just wondering why Robin remained calm after seeing the photo.
Doris was afraid that Robin would trace it back to her, so she had to make sure the person who sent the photo did as Robin had said.
Doris didn't dare to expose the photos she had.
Stuart was resting, so she wanted to take this opportunity to test Robin.
Doris remembered that Robin disliked Josephine.
After chatting for a while, Doris deliberately mentioned Josephine.
She thought for a moment and said, "Mr. Bailey, do you remember my brother, Ray?"
Robin glanced at Doris from a distance and casually nodded. "I remember him."
"He studied medicine, so he wanted to work at Clement Hospital. But it's difficult."
Doris had only one brother. Influenced by her family, she valued her brother very much.
When Doris mentioned Clement Hospital, Robin looked at her. "The hospital where Josephine works?"
Doris nodded. "In fact, all doctors treat and save people. All doctors start with internships. Stuart helped me find the department head, but my brother was still rejected in the end."
Robin asked, "Where do your brother go to school?"
Doris mentioned a school and proudly said, "My brother was the first person from our hometown to be admitted to a university. Although I also went to college, I studied at a community college."
Robin sneered. "Someone who graduated from a lower-tier university wants to work at Clement Hospital?"
"Even though he graduated from a lower-tier university, his major is challenging!" Doris didn't know why Robin was acting differently today. Previously, he had been very kind to her.
Robin asked, "Do you know which school Josephine graduated from?"
Doris was taken aback.
Doris hadn't paid attention to this, but she knew that Josephine had at least graduated from a regular university.
Doris thought, 'Josephine is young, so she shouldn't be a graduate student.'
Doris said, "Is she a graduate student?"
Robin said, "Josephine was accepted by the best university at that time. She chose the most difficult medical department and obtained a doctoral degree."
Doris was shocked and said, "That's impossible! She's so young!"
"Don't you know she skipped grades? She completed an eight-year course in six years. If the school system allows it, she might graduate earlier."
Doris said jealously, "She's too lucky. Even if she has a doctoral degree, not everyone working at Clement Hospital can have a doctoral degree."
Robin laughed. "That has nothing to do with her luck. Although I don't like her, I have to admit that she is outstanding."
Doris felt that Robin was mocking her for the first time.
She had always thought highly of Robin. Initially, Doris was afraid that she wouldn't be able to get along with Stuart's friends.
After all, Stuart's friends were all wealthy and came from noble families.
But Robin was very friendly to Doris, which made her feel very welcome.
In fact, Robin was friendly to Doris because of Stuart. But Doris felt that Robin was pleasant to her mainly because she was charming.
Doris believed that everyone would like a gentle, lovely, and kind girl like her.
But now, Robin's attitude made her doubt everything.
Robin said, "Your brother can't work at Clement Hospital. Even if he is hired, he won't fit in. I'll help you contact other hospitals."
