Chapter 67 Are You in Heat?

Andrew's voice was quite loud.

He said, "What day is it today? Harmony Day! What are you going out for? Everyone is at home with their wives."

Stuart was already dressed neatly, showing no signs of last night's excesses.

As Josephine came down the stairs, she heard Stuart say, "I have something to do, I'll be back in the afternoon."

"Back in the afternoon? You might as well stay out." Andrew's beard was trembling with anger. He remarked, "This is with me watching you. I can't even imagine how excessive you were when you and Josephine lived alone!"

Josephine sat down next to Andrew, holding his arm. She coaxed, "Grandpa, I'm here with you. It's work-related; we can't help it. Let him go."

"Look at how understanding Josephine is," Andrew was still full of anger. He scolded, "What work is more important than family?"

However, in the end, Stuart still left.

From start to finish, he didn't say a word to Josephine or even give her a glance.

Andrew comforted Josephine. He said, "Stuart has had this bad temper since he was a kid, speaks little, and is introverted. Josephine, it's been hard on you these years."

Even though Josephine had slowly let go of this relationship, she never regretted it.

She chose him herself. The young man who amazed her in her youth still held beautiful memories in her heart.

However, it was all in the past.

Today was a holiday, a day to rest. Early tomorrow morning, Josephine would follow in the hospital's vehicle to the military base.

Josephine packed some things at home and chatted with Claudia for a while.

Claudia's parents had gone back to their old home in the countryside.

When they went bankrupt, all their assets were mortgaged; the once-wealthy family became penniless overnight.

Fortunately, after the mortgage, there were no debts left. Claudia's parents decided to go back to their old home and never return to this sad place.

Since Josephine was here, they felt at ease leaving Claudia behind.

So this Harmony Day holiday, Claudia was spending it alone.

But when Josephine called today, she seemed to hear someone talking on Claudia's end and casually asked, "Are you still working today?"

Claudia responded softly.

Josephine didn't think much of it. She advised, "Remember to eat something good. I have to stay with Andrew, so I can't come to see you."

Claudia asked, "Josephine, can you really let go?"

Josephine knew what she was asking about and smiled. She responded, "Of course, I keep my word."

Claudia said, "I saw Doris's Instagram."

Josephine had guessed it. She said, "Is Stuart with her?"

Claudia said, "It's her brother Ray's store opening celebration today, and Stuart went."

Ray wasn't studying medicine?

Now he's opening a store.

Claudia said, "The location is excellent, and the decor is luxurious. Doris doesn't have that much money; it must be from Stuart!"

Josephine was silent for a few seconds and said, "I understand, Claudia. I'll handle it."

In the afternoon, Stuart did come back on time.

At that time, Josephine had just woken up from a nap, lying on the bed lazily, not wanting to move.

The room was warm, and she had sweated a bit while sleeping. Josephine kicked off the blanket and sat on the edge of the bed, lost in thought.

She had never been to the military base for the hospital's cooperation.

She had only heard from the doctors who had gone before, saying that they had to train with the soldiers, which was quite tough.

Josephine thought she should be fine; after all, she had been to the military base years ago.

It was also then that she saw another side of Stuart and fell in love with him.

Later, she even saved Stuart and a few others.

However, due to the special circumstances at the time, she got injured while saving them, and the military base later issued a document prohibiting the spread of the incident.

So, even until now, Josephine had never talked to Stuart about it.

Josephine never intended to use the favor of saving him to demand anything from Stuart.

She turned over, lifting one leg and resting it on the pillow beside her.

The silk pajamas easily slipped off, so when Stuart came in, he saw a seductive and enchanting scene.

Josephine's skin was a healthy wheat color, and the black silk made her skin look even more delicate and smooth.

Slender wrists, long neck, beautiful legs, and a waist that could be held with one hand.

Even her small, delicate feet were a feast for Stuart's eyes.

His Adam's apple bobbed, and he silently watched at the door for a while before making some noise.

Josephine was already awake. Hearing the noise, she opened her eyes and saw Stuart.

Stuart took off his coat, revealing a pure black shirt underneath, which wrapped around his lean and powerful waist, making him look even more noble and aloof.

Josephine didn't move, maintaining her comfortable posture, she gazed lazily as she looked at him for two seconds before closing her eyes again.

Seeing her like this, Stuart felt a surge of anger.

Moreover, he felt his desire was increasing recently.

For one, it had been days since they had been intimate.

For another, for some reason, seeing Josephine often turned his anger into desire.

He wasn't usually someone with such strong desires.

But seeing Josephine, he often couldn't control himself.

Just like now.

He was angry that Josephine was ignoring him and could have turned and left.

But now his mind was filled with thoughts of being with her.

Preferably making her cry and beg for mercy.

The imagined scene didn't do anything to Josephine but made Stuart feel much worse.

He said nothing, with a stern face, and went to the bathroom to shower.

Josephine thought he was simply ridiculous, showering in the daytime.

Had he done something shady outside?

However, today she didn't smell the strong perfume on him.

When Stuart came out, the bathroom door opened, bringing a rush of cold air.

Josephine could feel it even from the bed. She got up and saw no steam in the bathroom.

"You took a cold shower?" Josephine asked in surprise, She remarked, "In the middle of winter, are you out of your mind?"

Stuart seemed to carry the chill of winter on him. He gave Josephine a cold look. He retorted, "Doesn't Mrs. Haustia know why I took a cold shower?"

He emphasized the "Mrs. Haustia."

Josephine was greatly shocked. She questioned, "Are you in heat all the time? Are you still in heat?"

Stuart, who had been in a high position for a long time, was used to people flattering him.

Only Josephine had become increasingly sharp-tongued recently, and her words easily provoked his anger.

"Do you need me to remind you how much you enjoyed it when we used to be together?" Stuart said coldly, "If I'm in heat, then Mrs. Haustia is not far off."

Josephine didn't want to argue with him.

Stuart had nothing better to do all day and had his mind filled with desires.

Stuart quickly changed the topic. He suddenly asked, "Are you going to the military base tomorrow?"
