Chapter 477 Probably Going Crazy
Now that Claudia was pregnant, there's no need to worry. She wouldn't be crazy enough to take a pregnant woman to do anything. But if the three of them went out to play in the future, that would be another story.
Josephine said, "If we go out to play, it would be inconvenient for you to follow. The other two husbands aren't going, just you?"
Stuart said, "Did you forget what she took you to do before? You might have forgotten, but I haven't."
Josephine laughed and cried, "What did we do? What could we have done? She was just trying to annoy you, what else could it be?"
"That's still not okay," Stuart said. "Things that should and shouldn't be seen were seen, and if she touches you, what can't she do?"
"Am I that kind of person?" Josephine said. "Besides, don't be fooled by Laura's appearance; she's not really like that."
"I don't believe it."
"Believe it or not," Josephine said. "If she were really that flirtatious, would Steven accept it?"
"That's because Steven loves her too much."
"No matter how much you love someone, there's a limit. Anyway, Laura isn't like that; she just talks tough but is actually very soft-hearted."
Stuart didn't really understand Laura. He had once wondered why Josephine would be friends with someone like her.
But he also knew Laura had many good qualities. She had her strengths and weaknesses.
No matter what was said, he wasn't comfortable letting Josephine go out with her.
Now that Claudia was pregnant, the idea of going out was uncertain, so Josephine didn't say anything more.
Steven was the one who was troubled.
Jair thought Laura was joking, but it turned out she really intended to stay at his house.
When Steven called him, he comforted Steven, "Maybe she'll leave tomorrow, just wait and see."
Steven said, "I'd be grateful if she came back tomorrow."
Sure enough, Steven knew Laura best.
The next day, Laura had no intention of leaving.
However, compared to the previous day, Jair didn't want Laura to leave.
Because he found that with Laura there, Claudia's mood improved, her appetite increased, and she was happy all day.
Although this fact made Jair a bit jealous, as long as Claudia was happy, what did it matter if he felt a little wronged?
So when Steven called him again the next day, he said, "You're a man, can't you live without your wife? If she wants to stay at my house for a few days, let her stay. It's not like she's never leaving."
Steven said, "I sleep alone at night, I have insomnia."
"Then talk to your wife about it."
Steven said, "If talking to her worked, why would I be talking to you? You're the man of the house; if you tell her to leave, she'll definitely go!"
Jair said, "Can I really tell her to leave? If I did, Claudia would kick me out, I wouldn't dare."
"You don't dare, but it's not that you don't want to," Steven said. "It seems you don't want her staying at your house either."
Jair sighed, "It's not that I don't want to, it's just that your wife being here takes all of my wife's attention, you understand?"
"Of course I understand," Steven said. "This is nothing; I've experienced this many times before."
The two men shared their woes and sympathized with each other. Steven played the pity card, and in the end, Jair had no choice but to talk to Claudia.
He had to do it during lunch break; otherwise, Claudia was always with Laura, and he didn't know how they had so much to talk about.
"Claudia," Jair said softly, holding her in bed, "Did Laura say when she's leaving?"
Claudia said, "No, our home is like her home; she can stay as long as she wants."
"I know, I'm not trying to make her leave," Jair said. "It's just that Steven is a bit pitiful. Look, we're all paired up, and Laura is staying here while he's all alone."
"Is he really pitiful? But before he was with Laura, he was always alone. We didn't always live together before either, I think it's fine."
"It's different now; Laura is clearly mad at Steven. As friends, shouldn't we help them make up sooner?"
"They're not mad at each other; Laura told me they didn't have a fight."
"Even if they did, they wouldn't tell you." Jair sighed. "Anyway, just persuade her to leave soon."
Claudia was troubled, "How can I say that?"
"You're not making her leave. Just say Steven should come stay too; he mentioned it before."
"I'm afraid Laura will get mad."
"You're doing it for her own good. When couples fight, you're supposed to help them make up. Why would she get mad?"
Claudia, now pregnant, was always sleepy. She had just had lunch and could barely keep her eyes open.
She mumbled, "Okay, I'll talk to her..."
Soon, there was no more movement. Jair looked down and saw she was already asleep.
His heart softened, and he kissed her, adjusting her to a more comfortable position.
In the afternoon, when Claudia got up, Laura was lying on a hammock in the yard, listening to music, looking very relaxed.
Claudia remembered the conversation with Jair before her nap. She walked over and sat down next to Laura. Laura saw her and took off her headphones, "You're awake?"
Claudia asked, "Laura, are you bored?"
"Not at all," Laura said. "I just wanted some peace and quiet, and this is perfect. Nothing to do, I can listen to music without distractions."
"Did you and Mr. Bailey really not have a fight?"
"Not really a fight," Laura said honestly. "It's just that sometimes he can be too clingy."
"Isn't being clingy a good thing?"
"It is, but there has to be a limit," Laura said. "Did Steven talk to you? Did he ask you to make me leave?"
"No, no, I wouldn't make you leave," Claudia said quickly. "So how long are you planning to stay?"
"Three to five days," Laura said. "I can't overdo it."
"That's good," Claudia smiled. "What song are you listening to?"
Laura put the headphones to her ear, "Listen."
The two started chatting again. Jair looked down from upstairs and shook his head. There was nothing he could do.
On the fourth day of Laura's stay, she finally decided to leave.
She actually wanted to stay longer, but Steven came over every day. Considering Claudia was pregnant and being disturbed every day, Laura had no choice but to leave.
Steven held her hand and led her out of the villa, feeling very happy.
Laura glanced at him, seeing his silly smile, rolled her eyes, and obediently followed him.
Jair finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Josephine heard that Laura had finally left and was happy for Steven.
If Laura stayed any longer, Steven might have gone crazy.
