Shirley rocked a white cocktail dress that totally showed off her elegance.
She glided over, flashing what she thought was her best smile. "Alfonso."
"Shirley." Alfonso smiled warmly, giving her a gentle pat on the head. "Come on, let me introduce you to Mr. Haustia."
Shirley tilted her head, looking a bit puzzled. "Mr. Haustia?"
"Yeah, the guy you're a fan of." Alfonso knew guys liked being admired, so he shot a look at Stuart. "Shirley's still young and a bit naive. Hope you don't mind, Mr. Haustia."
"Shirley's in her twenties, right?" Stuart's face was blank. "Young? Naive?"
Alfonso's words were meant to be humble, but when Stuart repeated them, they sounded kinda harsh.
Shirley got a closer look at Stuart, her heart racing.
Even with his serious face, she found him incredibly attractive.
She spoke softly, "I'm sorry, Mr. Haustia. I'm not that young, but my family treats me like a kid. I'm Shirley, nice to meet you."
She extended her hand, a faint smile on her face.
Her fingers were slender, and her palm was small.
Her chin was pointed, and her face was tiny.
A girl like Shirley could easily trigger a guy's protective instincts.
But Stuart didn't even look at her hand and said coldly, "Sorry, I don't interact with women."
Shirley was stunned.
Alfonso was stunned.
What was Stuart saying?
Alfonso hadn't seen Stuart tying Josephine's shoelaces earlier, but he knew about Stuart's past scandals.
However, Shirley had just seen Stuart fawning over Josephine.
Now, Stuart said he didn't interact with women.

Shirley shook her head. "I just saw him kneel down to tie his ex-wife's shoelaces."
Alfonso was shocked. "He knelt down? To tie shoelaces? Stuart?"

Alfonso frowned. "Your betrothal to him might be more complex than anticipated."
Shirley said, "Alfonso, Dad said that Stuart's status is enough to..."
"Lower your voice," Alfonso cautioned, glancing around. "Avoid discussing this here. Just mention you're unwell, and we'll depart."
Unbeknownst to Stuart, the Campbell family was eyeing him as a potential son-in-law.
But he soon found out.
Because Todd heard the news and, after weighing the options, decided to talk to Stuart.
Todd spoke, "Stuart, although Shirley from The Campbell family is more suitable for you, Josephine has been your wife for several years."
He started, but Stuart didn't understand. "What are you talking about? Shirley from the Campbell family? What does she have to do with me?"
Todd was stunned. "You don't know yet?"
It was then that Stuart had his revelation.
He didn't know where The Campbell family got the confidence to think that he would agree to such a marriage alliance.

No wonder Josephine mentioned the Campbell family and said she was worried about misunderstandings.

Alfonso was stunned, then said, "Fortune tellers are all frauds, don't believe them."
Stuart strode over and happened to hear these two sentences.
He said, "The fortune teller I hired said it, how is that a fraud? Mr. Campbell, do you have business with my Josephine?"
