Chapter 30 Concussion
Before, no matter what Robin said, Doris would obediently nod.
But this time, she said,
"No. My brother wants to work at Clement Hospital. His dream is to be a doctor there."
Robin smiled. "What did Stuart say?"
"Stuart asks someone to contact the head of the liver and gallbladder surgery department, but it doesn't work."
After thinking for a moment, Robin said, "Let me handle this."
Doris was surprised. "Do you have a way? But you just told my brother to give up."
"I'll do my best." Robin said, "I will try my best to help with anything about you."
Doris immediately said, "Mr. Bailey, thank you."
"You don't have to thank me. Stuart and I are friends, so you don't have to be polite to me."
Doris took the opportunity and asked, "You're so good, but why is your relationship with Josephine so bad? Is there a misunderstanding between you?"
Doris had heard that several of Stuart's friends disliked Josephine.
Robin said, "Misunderstanding? There's no misunderstanding. I just dislike her."
Doris relaxed. "I think Josephine is pretty good. If I have to say one of her shortcomings, I think she doesn't seem to handle her relationship with her male friends well. She's already married, so I think she should keep her distance from other men. But..."
Listening to Doris mention this topic, Robin thought of that photo.
After the stewardess gave him a glass of wine, Robin drank it in one gulp.
Seeing him drink, Doris didn't know what he meant and didn't dare to speak.
After a while, Robin suddenly said, "From childhood to adulthood, her taste has always been very poor!"
Robin became angrier and suddenly said, "Josephine is a fool!"
Doris now urgently wanted to know everything about Josephine, especially the negative news about her.
Doris immediately asked, "Why?"
Robin glanced at her and became impatient.
He said softly, "Because she's stupid, that's why those men fool her!"
"It's not necessarily the men's fault," Doris said, "Maybe she just likes to make friends."
In fact, Doris was implying that Josephine was very promiscuous.
Doris knew why Stuart liked her, so she would never speak ill of Josephine in front of Stuart. If Stuart thought Doris was deliberately making him angry with Josephine, he wouldn't believe that Doris was an innocent and simple girl.
But if Stuart's friends all thought Josephine was promiscuous, Stuart should not be able to tolerate Josephine.
Robin snorted but didn't say anything.
Stuart slept until the plane was about to land before he came out.
Doris immediately greeted Stuart. "You slept for so long. Are you thirsty? Are you hungry?"
Stuart sat down and ate something. After a while, he said, "After getting off the plane, you take Doris back."
Robin was still angry and asked directly, "Why don't you take her?"
Stuart said coldly, "I have other things to do."
Doris sensed the tense atmosphere and said softly, "I can take a taxi back. Mr. Bailey doesn't need to take me."
Robin said, "There are indeed some things that Stuart needs to handle in person. Doris, I'll take you back."
Robin suddenly agreed to take Doris back, so Doris thanked him.
Stuart knew Robin was reminding him.
Robin was referring to the photo of Josephine and urging Stuart to handle the matter as soon as possible.
Leaning back in his chair, Stuart closed his eyes and rested.
Robin blinked at Doris. Doris smiled and got up. Standing behind Stuart, Doris placed her fingertips on both sides of his temples and gave him a massage.
Stuart held her wrist. "You don't have to massage me. You continue to rest."
"I'm not tired."
"Sit down."
Doris knew that Stuart didn't like others to disobey his orders, so she obediently sat down.
Robin said, "Doris is so good to you, so you should be gentler with her."
Doris said, "Stuart was too tired. I heard he worked all night last night. He's been through a lot."
"Doris, you're so considerate, gentle, and caring. You're the perfect woman to marry." Robin sighed, "Someone is really lucky."
Stuart wanted Robin to shut up. But after glancing at Doris, he managed to hold back.
After Doris went to the restroom, Robin said, "I really think Doris is great."
"I know."
Robin continued, "But you..."
"I don't know when you started to like boring rumors," Stuart warned him with a meaningful look. "Even if you don't speak, no one thinks you're mute."
"Are you in such a hurry to go back to deal with Josephine?" Seeing Stuart's grim expression, Robin assured, "This is the last question!"
Stuart sneered, "She's not worth my effort. You're overthinking."
After getting off the plane, Stuart drove away alone.
As soon as he started the car, he called Josephine.
But Josephine didn't answer the phone!
Stuart continued to call Josephine, but she still didn't pick up.
Stuart angrily threw his phone.
After a while, Stuart stopped the car at a red light. He angrily picked up his phone from the passenger seat.
Stuart called Josephine again. She finally answered.
Stuart immediately roared, "Josephine! What are you doing? If you don't need your phone, you can donate it to someone who does!"
Liam said, "Stuart, why are you shouting? If you can't talk calmly, you can donate your mouth!"
Liam hung up the phone.
Stuart was already very angry. Hearing Liam's voice coming from Josephine's phone, Stuart was furious.
He suddenly started the car. The car quickly rushed out and crashed heavily into the car in front.
The airbag instantly deployed. Stuart was still angry before he lost consciousness.
The ambulance arrived quickly. At this moment, Stuart was no longer noble. Like an ordinary person, he was lifted onto a stretcher and taken to the hospital.
Half an hour later, Josephine received another call.
Stuart's work abroad was already heavy. He worked overtime and stayed up late. He said he was going to rest on the plane, but he just closed his eyes and didn't sleep.
After getting off the plane, Stuart became angrier because of Liam.
After the accident, the impact caused a concussion that left him in a coma. But mainly because his body was too tired, he still hadn't woken up.
Liam pushed Josephine into a wheelchair.
Josephine was very nervous when she heard the call that Stuart had had an accident.
The moment of tension and panic she made Josephine realize that she still loved Stuart.
At the hospital, Josephine made sure Stuart was out of danger, and the results of his other tests were normal. Josephine finally felt relieved.
Stuart finally woke up. He opened his eyes and saw Josephine.
In an instant, everything that had happened before rushed into his mind.
Stuart became angry, "You..."
Josephine covered his mouth with her finger. "You have a concussion. Please rest for a while."
