Nicole said, "Her dad called me. How can you, as a man, hit a woman no matter what?"
Gerald felt helpless, "Mom, didn't he tell you why I laid hands on his daughter? Of course, he wouldn't mention that."
"What?" Nicole asked, "There's no reason for you to hit a woman! I don't even know when you developed the ability to hit women!"
Gerald had to explain, "Mom, I didn't hit her. She suddenly came over and hugged me. Should I just stand there and let her hug me? So, I grabbed her wrist and threw her out."

"That's what happened," Gerald said. "Her dad doesn't know the situation, so how could he have the nerve to call you?"
Gerald decided to tell Nicole everything that happened today.

Gerald continued, "Josephine is pregnant now. If anything goes wrong..."
"She wouldn't dare!" Nicole said, "If the West family dares to touch a hair on Josephine's head, I'll fight them to the end!"
"So, what's going on? How did Josephine find out about Elara and me?"
Nicole sighed, "I only found out after asking Josephine. She didn't want to tell me at first. It was... it was Kathy who approached her."
"Kathy?" Gerald was even more puzzled. "Kathy talked to Josephine about Elara?"

Nicole said, "Elara contacted Kathy."

Nicole looked at him, "Why are you reacting so strongly? It's not a big deal!"
Gerald said, "Mom, if you don't have anything else, I won't talk to you now. I'm going upstairs."
Nicole saw him leave and shouted after him, "Don't take out your anger on Josephine and Kathy. Get the facts straight first, okay?"
Gerald walked upstairs and replied, "Got it."
When he got to his room, he immediately called Josephine.
He wanted to find out what was going on.
Josephine didn't expect things to be exposed so quickly.
Kathy approached her because she didn't want Gerald to know, fearing it would affect his mood and waste his time.
Gerald asked directly, "Josephine, what's going on with Elara? Did she go to Kathy?"
Josephine said, "How did you know?"
"Mom told me, but she didn't explain clearly. So, don't hide it from me."
Josephine had no choice but to say, "She messaged Kathy and even called Kathy's workplace to get her fired! Gerald, how can she be like this?"
Gerald said, "When did this happen? Why didn't you tell me?"
Josephine said, "Kathy was afraid you were busy and worried, so she came to me."
"You guys are really..." Gerald sighed, "You're pregnant. Can you stop worrying about so many things? Just call me directly next time, okay?"
Josephine said, "But Kathy asked me to keep it a secret. She didn't want you to worry."
"Alright, I won't talk to you anymore."
After hanging up, Josephine quickly messaged Kathy: [Gerald has found out]

Gerald was standing in front of a black luxury car.
Kathy had never seen this car before.
He usually had a driver from work, and Kathy had never seen him drive his own car.
Now, Gerald stood there, tall and elegant, wearing a gray cashmere coat, looking noble and handsome.
Kathy quickly ran over. "Why are you here?"

"Slow down." Gerald supported her arm briefly and then let go. "I have something to talk to you about, so I came over."
"It's so cold," Kathy said, "Should we go upstairs?"
