Chapter 81 You've Got Some Skills

Just as she was about to communicate with Stuart, he suddenly left the military base.

An accident at a foreign company resulted in a fatality, and he had to handle it.

In the following ten days, Josephine finally completed her work at the military base.

When she left the military base, Josephine let out a long sigh of relief.

Before she left, Jair had a talk with her.

It was the usual spiel about family harmony and being more tolerant. Between the lines, it was clear Jair wanted her to get along with Stuart and avoid mentioning divorce.

Stuart's friends naturally took his side.

Josephine didn't want to say much; she certainly wouldn't reveal her true thoughts to Jair.

Back at the hospital, after handling her own matters, she went out to have lunch with Liam.

"You must have had it tough," Liam said as he poured her some coffee, He asked, "Have you lost weight? At least you haven't gotten darker."

Josephine's skin was a healthy tan, smooth and delicate, making Liam want to pinch it.

Of course, he knew Josephine would never let him touch her. Letting him pat her head was already the limit.

"I haven't lost weight; my health has improved," Josephine said with a smile, "How have you been lately? Met any girls you like?"

Liam glanced at her. He replied sarcastically, "Are you gloating?"

His family had been forcing him to meet girls recently, and he was miserable.

Josephine had to change the subject. She inquired, "How's everything at the hospital?"

Liam shook his head dismissively. He replied, "Everything's fine."

The two had grown up together and had a special bond, with endless topics to talk about.

Finally, Liam asked her, "Have you thought about the divorce?"

Josephine didn't want him to worry. She simply answered, "It's under negotiation."

"That's good," Liam said. "Your parents will probably be upset when they find out. I'll go back with you then."

Josephine smiled. She agreed, "Okay."

The people Doris hired were still following Josephine.

They couldn't get into the military base, but now that Josephine was back, they naturally had to take more photos to send to Doris.

Stuart was still abroad and hadn't returned. He left in a hurry and didn't take Doris with him.

Doris was working hard to improve her business skills at the company while also gaining people's support.

Now almost everyone at the company knew that Doris was Stuart's woman and might be their future boss's wife.

Doris received another call from the mysterious person.

The person on the phone said, "Stuart is coming back tomorrow. Get ready to pick him up at the airport."

Doris asked, "What time exactly?"

The mysterious person said, "I'll send it to you. There's something else you need to..."

After the mysterious person finished speaking, Doris was shocked. She stammered, "This..."

The mysterious person asked, "What, are you scared?"

Doris didn't say anything.

The mysterious person said, "If you want to gain wealth, you have to take risks. If you don't want to do it, I won't force you."

Doris gritted her teeth. She said decisively, "I'll do it!"

Before Stuart returned to the country, he called Josephine. "I'll be back tomorrow afternoon. Come pick me up."

There was no way Josephine would go pick him up. She replied sternly, "I have to work."

"Josephine," Stuart said, "don't test my limits. Come pick me up, and we'll go straight to the Haustia Manor. Grandpa is waiting. Or do you want to argue with me in front of Grandpa?"

Josephine angrily said, "That's your Grandpa! Don't you care about his health at all?"

Stuart said, "So be obedient, and Grandpa will live longer."

Josephine was so angry she hung up, but she still went to the airport the next day.

She didn't expect Doris to be there too.

What was Stuart thinking?

Doris didn't expect to see Josephine there either. Stuart hadn't told her the exact time of his return. Did he tell Josephine?

Doris was jealous. Even if Stuart didn't like Josephine, Josephine was still his legitimate wife.

This alone was enough to make Doris resentful, wishing Josephine would fall seriously ill and die.

However, on the surface, she still smiled and even approached warmly. She greeted, "Josephine."

Josephine felt disgusted when she saw her and took a step back. She asked warily, "What are you doing here?"

"Of course, I'm here to pick up Stuart," Doris said, "I didn't expect you to be here too."

Even though Josephine knew she was just a stand-in and that Stuart truly liked someone else.

However, even so, seeing Doris's face made Josephine uncomfortable.

If Doris didn't know Stuart was married and was deceived by him, Josephine would only pity her.

But Doris knew Stuart was married and still willingly became his mistress, which was a matter of character and morals.

Stuart's private jet landed, and Doris rushed over from a distance.

Josephine stood still.

When Stuart saw her, his expression changed slightly. He asked her, "Why are you here?"

Doris quickly said, "You only said you were coming back today. I didn't know what time, so I came early to wait."

It was already afternoon, which meant she had been waiting almost all day.

Stuart asked her, "Have you eaten?"

Doris said, "I was afraid I'd miss you while eating, so I didn't dare to go."

Stuart turned to his people and said, "Take her to eat later."

Doris immediately got anxious. She quickly asked, "What about you? Aren't you going with me?"

Stuart said, "I have to go see Grandpa."

Doris had no choice.

She bit her lower lip, looking weak and obedient. She said, "Then I'll wait for your call."

Stuart nodded in agreement. He said, "I'll have someone take you back."

As he spoke, he walked over to Josephine.

Stuart gave her a cold look.

Josephine was wearing a long gray cashmere coat, exuding a cool aura. With her stunning features, everyone was looking at her.

Especially the men, who couldn't take their eyes off her.

Stuart watched as a man walked far away but kept looking back; his face darkened.

Josephine saw him laughing and joking with Doris a moment ago, but his expression changed when he saw her. She smiled mockingly. She said sarcastically, "What, Mr. Haustia, are you taking Ms. Kelly back to the Haustia Manor?"

Before Stuart could speak, Doris's eyes turned red. She claimed, "Josephine, what do you mean? I'm just here to pick up Mr. Haustia, nothing else."

Stuart said coldly, "Bullying a young girl, that's quite a skill you have."

Young girl? She wasn't that young. She was already an adult. Or was she mentally immature?

Besides, Doris was only a year or two younger than Josephine.

Josephine didn't argue with him about this and just asked, "If someone is going back with you, then I won't bother you two."

"Stop talking nonsense!" Stuart said angrily, "Have you no manners?"

Doris tearfully said, "I'll leave soon. I'll just watch Mr. Haustia and you get in the car, then I'll leave on my own."

Josephine couldn't be bothered with them and turned to leave.

Stuart pulled her back. He insisted, "Follow me!"

He had Doris on his left and was holding Josephine with his right hand.

As they walked out of the airport, no one expected an incident to occur.
