Chapter 434 A Man's Nature
As soon as she finished speaking, Claudia's face turned red.
Laura noticed and realized something was off. She leaned in and asked more directly, "Did you two have sex?"
Josephine nudged her, "Don't ask so directly, Claudia gets shy easily."
Laura responded with an "Oh," then rephrased, "Did you two sleep together?"
Josephine couldn't help but laugh, "What's the difference?"
Laura said, "Come on, it's the 21st century, there's nothing wrong with talking about it. Spill the details."
Claudia covered her face, "You two are so annoying!"
"Judging by that reaction, you did sleep together." Laura poked her arm, "So, how was Jair in bed?"
"Stop asking." Claudia kept her face covered, "I'm not talking to you guys anymore!"
"I bet Jair wasn't that great. He looks tough, but maybe he's all show," Laura said.
"Not at all! He's really good!" Claudia said quickly.
Laura and Josephine exchanged knowing smiles as they watched Claudia defend him.
Claudia then realized she had fallen into their trap.
Laura said meaningfully, "Oh, he's really good, huh? How good?"
Claudia's face turned genuinely red, "I'm not talking to you anymore!"
With that, she ran off.
Josephine gave Laura a light slap, "You're just teasing her!"
Laura said, "I think you enjoy hearing about it too. But this is good news; we might need to start planning a gift for Claudia. She might be the first of us to get married."
"Speaking of Claudia, what about you? You've been with Steven for so many years, what are you waiting for? Giving other women a chance?"
They had discussed this topic countless times. But it always ended inconclusively.
Josephine knew Laura's personality; she loved freedom and disliked being tied down.
Maybe her relationship with Steven had always reflected that. But after being free for so long, she really should give Steven a proper status.
Laura said, "It's not that I can't consider it."
Josephine quickly asked, "Consider what? Giving other women a chance?"
Laura rolled her eyes, "Of course, considering marriage."
Josephine was overjoyed, "Really?"
Laura said, "When we were teenagers, I said I'd only get married after seeing you two get married."
"So you're saying if we don't get married, you won't either?"
Laura said, "You two are definitely getting married, so I will too. Don't worry."
Josephine fell silent. She couldn't argue with that.
Just then, they saw Claudia running out, and Jair quickly asked, "What's wrong?"
Claudia's face was a bit red, and she slowed her pace, "I'm just going to the restroom."
After a while, Josephine and Laura also came over.
Laura asked with a smile, "Claudia hasn't come back yet?"
Jair looked worried, "Is she okay? I'll go check."
Just as he said that, Claudia returned, her face still damp, as if she had just washed it.
After dinner and chatting for a while, they decided to head back.
Jair said, "Mr. Andrew Haustia, we'll come visit you another day."
Steven added, "Yes, we'll come back to chat with you."
Andrew was in high spirits, chatting energetically, not feeling sleepy even though it was his usual bedtime.
Jeffery joined the adults' conversation and was also having a great time.
Andrew even mentioned that since Jeffery was already grown, Steven and Jair should step up their game.
On the way back, Jair told Claudia about it. At first, Claudia didn't understand his hint and asked, "What do you mean?"
Jair laughed and kissed her hand, "Andrew means we should also work hard and have kids soon."
"What?" Claudia was stunned, "Have kids?"
She had just had sex with Jair, and they had just officially gotten together. Wasn't it too soon to think about having kids?
"To be honest, my family has been pushing me to get married for a long time, to the point where my parents gave up." Jair said, "Before I met you, I thought I didn't have those worldly desires."
Claudia glanced at him.
Jair chuckled softly, "It wasn't until last night that I realized how wonderful it could be."
"Stop it." Claudia's face started to heat up again, "Why are you still talking about it?"
"Okay, I'll stop." Jair said, "If you want to move to Celestia Springs, I'll consider moving there after I retire."
"What?" Claudia hadn't thought about it yet, "But if you move to Celestia Springs, what about your parents?"
"Celestia Springs isn't far, and I'm not the only child. If I start a business there, my parents will definitely support me."
"I see."
"But what about you? Will your parents agree?"
Claudia replied, "It shouldn't be a big problem. I already have clients in Celestia Springs."
"That means your designs are as good as the big brands, which is why you have so many clients, right?"
Ever since Claudia won an award abroad, many people in the industry knew her. Her designs were indeed unique, with a great reputation, mostly through word-of-mouth referrals.
Claudia felt a bit embarrassed, "I'm not that great."
"Of course you are." Jair said, "Honestly, besides being in the military, I don't know how to do anything else. Claudia, don't look down on me."
Through their time together, Jair had come to understand Claudia's personality. She was a very nice girl, but perhaps due to her family background, she wasn't as bold and assertive as Laura, nor as calm and confident as Josephine. But she had a warmth and composure that made people want to be close to her.
Maybe because of her family's troubles, she always seemed a bit cautious around him.
Jair knew she was worried about their different family backgrounds, but he never cared about that. So he said these things to make Claudia feel better.
Claudia looked at him, "How could I look down on you? You're so outstanding. No matter what you do, you'll do great. I believe in you!"
Every man wanted to be admired by a woman. It was in their nature, and Jair was no exception.
He just didn't expect that in Claudia's eyes, he was so capable. Just looking at her like that, Jair felt his body stirring again.
When they returned to the hotel, Claudia wanted to take a shower, and Jair hugged her, "Shall we shower together?"
They had indeed showered together the previous night, but that was when Claudia was utterly exhausted.
So, as Jair watched, a faint blush spread across Claudia's face, even her earlobes turned red.
He couldn't help but kiss her, "Why do you get shy so easily? Claudia, you know, the more you act like this, the more I want to tease you."
In the end, Claudia couldn't escape showering with him.
