Chapter 33 What Can Be Good
The next morning, Ronald came to the hospital to help Stuart with his discharge procedures.
Once in the car, Ronald, out of habit, asked, "Mr. Haustia, do you need to go home to shower and change clothes?"
Stuart glanced at him. "I'm going home. We can talk about work tomorrow."
Ronald thought, 'Tomorrow? Does that mean he's not working today?'
Ronald was quite surprised.
As a workaholic, Stuart actually had times when he didn't work?
However, when Stuart got home, he found Josephine wasn't there.
He called Josephine and found out she had gone to work.
"Your foot has been injured. Why do you go to work?" Stuart scolded, "Come back immediately!"
Then, Josephine hung up the phone.
Stuart wanted to call her again, but he felt embarrassed, so he was so angry that he almost threw his phone.
After a while, Ronald drove back to the company.
Ronald thought, 'Mr. Haustia is indeed a workaholic, and he eventually chose to work.'
However, Ronald didn't dare to say anything extra with Stuart getting into the car.
Ronald thought, 'Why does Mr. Haustia look so bad? To be honest, Mr. Haustia looks as if he has been beaten up.'
Stuart looked angry all day, and his indifference made those around him not dare to get close to him.
Doris thought Stuart was unhappy because of work, so she gently comforted him and asked him to take care of himself.
Stuart seemed even more gentle towards Doris. He found an excuse to drive her out of the office and immediately called for a meeting.
If Stuart didn't focus on work, he was afraid he couldn't help but rush to the hospital and take Josephine away.
Stuart endured until it was almost time to get off work. Instead of calling a driver, he drove to Clement Hospital alone.
However, Stuart saw Robin in the parking lot.
Robin had been here for a while; he came to find Josephine.
First, Robin was looking for Josephine to talk about her blocking his phone number. Then, he planned to tell Josephine about Ray.
Josephine was in the outpatient department in the morning and in the ward in the afternoon.
She could't have surgery now due to her injuries. Surgeries that could have been postponed were rescheduled, while those that could not be delayed were performed by other doctors.
She was busy checking the preoperative data and postoperative test results.
So, she didn't have time to pay attention to Robin.
After a few words with Josephine, she was called away by the patient's family.
Half an hour passed, and Robin didn't express his complete meaning.
Finally, Josephine said to Robin, "If you don’t have anything else, you should leave. I'm busy."
Josephine didn't want to pay attention to Robin. Josephine didn't want to embarrass him too much in public place.
"What time do you get off? I'll wait for you in the parking lot."
Josephine casually mentioned a time, and Robin went downstairs.
He waited in the car at first, but then he got bored, so he got out of the car and took a walk.
So, Robin was seen by Stuart.
"Why are you here?" Robin also saw Stuart, so he walked over and leaned against the car to ask Stuart.
Stuart turned off the car, his face showing displeasure. "I have something to do. What are you doing here?"
Robin didn't say in front of Stuart that he was here to find Josephine. "I'm here to see a patient."
Stuart responded.
Robin asked, "You came to find Josephine, right?"
Stuart didn't say anything, he lit a cigarette.
Robin reached out and took one directly.
Stuart threw the lighter to him.
Robin asked again, "Where's Doris?"
Stuart was smoking. In the smoke, his expression looked blurry.
Robin tapped the steering wheel. "Say something! What's wrong? Are you mute?"
Stuart suddenly said, "Do you know Fly Fly Butterfly?"
Robin was taken aback in puzzle. "What?"
Stuart quickly changed the subject. "If you're fine, you should leave."
Robin looked at him. "Why have you acted so strange recently? You and Josephine..."
"I think you have too much time on your hands," Stuart's tone was a bit angry. "Just go!"
Robin leaned on the car window and said, "You have developed feelings for Josephine, haven't you?"
Stuart’s expression became even sourer.
Robin burst into laughter. "I'm just kidding! Everyone knows you like... Well, I'll stop talking about it."
After finished, he turned and left.
Stuart, however, fell into deep thought because of his words.
After a while, he started the car and left.
Robin parked the car on the side. He smiled as he watched Stuart's car drive away.
He continued to wait for Josephine.
However, the time Josephine mentioned for getting off work passed. Robin still hadn't seen her.
He didn't know Josephine didn't have a fixed time to get off work.
Though she didn’t have to perform surgeries today, it was late when she came out.
Robin was extremely angry because he had been waiting for a long time.
When Robin saw Liam pushing Josephine out, he felt even more angry. He thought, 'Why is Liam always with Josephine?'
Liam also saw Robin. "Why is he here?"
Josephine suddenly remembered. "Oh, I blocked his number, so with his temper, he might have come to settle the score with me."
"How dare he?" Liam said. " I'll take care of him!"
"No," Josephine held Liam's hand. "We're still in the hospital, so we need to maintain decorum."
Just then, Robin approached. Robin didn't look at Liam, but went straight to Josephine and said, "We need to talk."
Josephine smiled, "What do we need to talk about?"
Liam also said, "That's right. Otherwise, why would Josephine block your number?"
Robin still didn't know that it was Josephine who blocked him in Liam's car.
Liam’s words made him extremely embarrassed.
Josephine was really afraid that they would fight in the hospital, so she immediately said, "Let's go."
Robin took a deep breath to suppress his anger, and watched them get in the car.
When Liam was taking Josephine back, he said, "Robin doesn't have any other intentions, does he?"
Perhaps due to their conflicts during the childhood, he always felt that Robin had malicious intentions.
Moreover, Stuart's friend could definitely not be a good person.
Josephine didn't care about it. "What can he do to me? Don't worry. Anyway, I am Stuart's wife, so Robin dares not do anything to me for Stuart's sake."
Liam was relieved. He sent Josephine back home, and Stuart's car was parked in the yard.
Thinking about the anger when Stuart called in the morning, Josephine felt that there might be a war waiting for her at home. She didn't know why Stuart was so angry recently.
Liam left after he dropped her off at the door. After Josephine went in, she saw Stuart sitting angrily in the chair. He seemed ready to start a fight at any moment.
Josephine sighed softly and said, "I've been working all day, so I'm tired. If you have something, you should tell me as soon as possible."
Just one sentence easily ignited Stuart's anger.
"Josephine, you don't care about my well-being, do you?"
Stuart had just been in a car accident, but after coming out of the hospital, Josephine didn't even ask about his condition.
Josephine looked at him. "Mr. Haustia, with so many women around you, do you really need me?"
