Chapter 409 Gained Great Satisfaction
Josephine had been chilling at home with Nicole a lot lately, really soaking up that family vibe.
Today, she mentioned she was heading out for lunch and would be back after picking up Jeffery in the evening. Nicole was all for it.
"You just got to Celestia Springs, you should get out more and meet some new people," Nicole said. "You weren't into having a party at home before, but in a few days, a friend of mine is having a birthday bash. We can go, and I'll introduce you to some folks."
Josephine smiled and nodded, "Sounds good."
Nicole didn't ask who she was meeting, but Josephine figured she probably had a guess.
Nicole didn't look down on Stuart anymore; she was just still a bit salty about Stuart and Josephine's past divorce.
Now that Josephine had decided to get back with Stuart, Nicole couldn't really say much.
But her plan to introduce some eligible bachelors to Josephine hadn't changed.
Josephine had no clue that Nicole was still playing matchmaker.
The next day, around ten in the morning, Josephine headed out. But instead of going straight to Stuart's office, she hit up a popular shopping center.
She went straight to the men's clothing section, found Stuart's favorite brand, and picked out a tie for him.
Laura had once said that men are easy to calm down when they're mad.
Josephine asked how to calm them down.
Laura said, just kiss him.
Josephine told her to quit joking.
Laura then said, buy him something, anything would do.
After all, every time she bought something for Steven, he was as happy as a clam.
Josephine thought it made sense. Since she and Stuart got back together, it had always been Stuart giving her things. She hadn't bought anything for him yet.
After buying the tie and getting it wrapped, Josephine was ready to leave.
But the elevator stopped on a floor, and Josephine casually looked up and saw a pair of rings.
This was the jewelry floor. Josephine hesitated for a moment and then walked out.
What she saw was a pair of rings displayed in the most prominent place at the counter. It was the latest work of a designer, not mass-produced, a limited edition.
If the rings were ordered, they could also be engraved if the customer needed it.
Josephine looked at the pair of rings. They were actually very simple in design, not flashy, with patterns she liked. If they were very extravagant and luxurious, she wouldn't like them.
After asking the price, Josephine directly asked the clerk to wrap them up.
The clerk asked if she needed engraving, and she said not for now.
Because Josephine bought the rings, she was delayed a bit. It was already past eleven, and she hadn't arrived at Stuart's company yet.
Stuart had long lost his focus on work, frequently checking his watch.
Josephine had said she would come to have lunch with him and would arrive around eleven. But she hadn't arrived yet.
Stuart started to get anxious and called her.
Josephine was just about to message him.
After answering, she said, "I'm almost there."
Stuart quickly said, "I'll come down to get you."
The receptionist saw Stuart coming down and quickly stood up to greet him. But Stuart hurriedly walked out the door.
The receptionist had never seen Stuart in such a hurry and couldn't help but be a little puzzled.
In a few minutes, Stuart came back. But this time, he had a lady with him. It was Josephine's first time there, and she looked around after entering.
From time to time, staff members greeted Stuart.Back in the day, Stuart would barely nod at people, not even cracking a smile. But today, he was all smiles, responding to everyone and then wrapping his arm around Josephine's waist, saying, "This is my girlfriend."
He actually wanted to say, "This is my wife," but he didn't want to upset Josephine.
Last time, Stuart had announced in the work group that he was in a relationship, making it known to everyone. Seeing Josephine today, the staff's curiosity was finally satisfied.
They had been dying to know what kind of woman could capture Stuart's heart. Today, they finally saw her in person. They had to admit, Stuart had really good taste.
It seemed only a beautiful and outstanding girl like Josephine could match Stuart.
Photos of Josephine and Stuart together were being shared wildly in various groups.
Someone messaged: [Doesn't anyone think Mr. Haustia's girlfriend looks familiar?]
But his message was quickly drowned out.
So, in the end, no one knew that Stuart's girlfriend Josephine was actually his ex-wife.
Because most of the employees at Celestia Springs were new, and their divorce had happened five or six years ago. So, fewer and fewer people knew about it.
Stuart took Josephine to visit each floor, introducing her to everyone. His heart was filled with immense satisfaction.
If he could, he really wanted to announce to the whole world that Josephine was his girlfriend.
Josephine didn't expect Stuart to be so enthusiastic about introducing her to everyone.
Finally, she couldn't take it anymore and pulled Stuart into the elevator, "Shouldn't we go back to the office?"
Stuart said, "There are still a few places we haven't been to."
"I don't think it's necessary to get familiar with them."
"You don't need to get familiar, but they need to know what my wife looks like, so they won't fail to recognize you when you come."
"But I bought you something and want to show you."
Stuart's attention was immediately diverted. "What did you buy? For me?"
"You'll see in a moment."
Stuart was no longer in a hurry to visit the departments and directly pulled Josephine into his office.
"What is it?"
"Why are you so impatient?"
Josephine had brought a canvas bag today, so it was easy to put the gift inside. She first took out the tie from the bag.
Stuart opened it and immediately said, "It's beautiful, I like it."
After saying that, he started to take off the tie he was wearing.
Josephine laughed, "What are you doing?"
"Of course, I'm going to wear the one you bought for me," Stuart said, casually tossing his own tie aside and picking up the one Josephine bought.
"Let me help you," Josephine said.
Stuart lowered his head to make it easier for her.
Josephine had done this before, and she still remembered how, her movements not unfamiliar.
Stuart looked down at her. It felt like they were back to five years ago.
Back then, they hadn't divorced yet. Josephine used to help him with his clothes like this. But he didn't know how to cherish it.
Stuart suddenly reached out and hugged Josephine.
Josephine, held by him, her cheek against his chest, asked, "What's wrong?"
"Nothing." Stuart kissed her hair. "Josephine, thank you, I really like it."
"I also bought another gift."
"Another one?" Stuart let go of her.
Josephine then took out the pair of rings from her bag.
Stuart was stunned when he saw the box. This size, and since it was for him, could only be rings.
Josephine opened it, and sure enough, there were two rings inside.
A very simple design, clean lines, looking very beautiful.
