Chapter 330 Can't Imagine How Comfortable It Is

The sweetness of their past seemed to be etched into their very beings. Just one kiss, and it felt so right. In that moment, it was like their souls had fused together.

The comfort, the ecstasy, the indescribable joy made their hearts race, sending shivers through their bodies.

Just one kiss, it was just one kiss.

Stuart couldn't even begin to imagine how amazing it would feel to get even closer to Josephine. They slowly ended the kiss, but they didn't pull away from each other.

Stuart cupped her face, planting gentle kisses on her nose, the corners of her lips, and her cheeks.

The atmosphere was still so intimate, and neither of them wanted to break the spell by speaking.

After a while, Josephine nestled into his arms, listening to his strong heartbeat.

Stuart held her close, his large hand gently stroking her long hair. He thought he would give anything for this moment of peace and beauty.

As long as Josephine was in his arms, he was truly content. This kind of spiritual joy could only come from her.

"You should go," Josephine whispered softly.

Stuart was reluctant to leave. He didn't want to go in the first place, and now he couldn't bear to leave even more.

He said, "I can totally crash on the couch."

"It's not about the couch." Josephine got up from his embrace. "You're not as strong as you used to be."

Hearing this, Stuart immediately perked up. "What do you that mean? I've lost some weight, but I've been working out, and I still have all my abs!" He lifted his shirt to show Josephine his abs.

Josephine, still a bit dazed, knew exactly how fit Stuart was. "I didn't say you're not fit. I just think you were younger five years ago."

"I'm stronger now! Age has nothing to do with it!"

Seeing his determined look, Josephine felt helpless. "Alright, alright, you're stronger now. Can you leave?"

"Jeffery is getting discharged in two days, right?"

Josephine nodded. "Yeah."

"Once he's out, it's gonna be tough for me to swing by and see you." Stuart looked at her and lowered his eyes. "Have you thought about taking Jeffery to stay at Haustia Manor for a while? Grandpa would be thrilled."

Josephine hadn't really considered this. She said, "I need to ask Jeffery what he thinks."

"So, you agree?"

Josephine said, "It doesn't matter if I agree. I respect Jeffery's opinion. If he wants to go, then we'll go."

"I think Jeffery and Grandpa get along well. He'll definitely want to go!"

"Alright, I'll ask him tomorrow. Now, can you go?"

Stuart didn't want to leave.

Josephine sighed. "This couch is so small. How can I sleep inside while you're outside?"

Hearing this, Stuart looked at her hopefully.

"I'm worried about you, okay?" Josephine gave him an answer. "So, go back and get some rest."

"Okay." Stuart stood up and pulled her up. He held her waist, his forehead resting against hers. "What should I do? I don't want to leave."

Josephine pushed him. "Go."

"Can I kiss you one more time?"

Josephine stood on her tiptoes and kissed his cheek. "There."

Stuart smiled at her. "Aren't you being a bit stingy?"

Josephine glared at him. "If you don't want it, then there won't be a next time."

"I want it." Stuart pulled her into his arms for a hug before letting her go. "I'm leaving."

Josephine pushed him out and closed the door. She leaned against the door, feeling completely relaxed.

Stuart stood outside for a while. Not sure if Josephine inside could hear him, he said, "Josephine, see you tomorrow." Stuart left the hospital, and his guys from abroad called to say they had William's biological father under control. Should they bring him back to the country or what?

This whole thing was a mess. Elbert had been wronged for so many years that Stuart wanted to kill that man.

"Bring him back," Stuart ordered, and they quickly complied.

Meanwhile, Alfonso's situation had concluded, leaving a significant impact on the Campbell Family despite finding a scapegoat and Alfonso escaping legal consequences.

Previously, the Campbell Family was considered prestigious even without relying on the Clarence Family because they were respected.

But after this incident, theirs reputation was completely trashed.

Shirley had aspired to marry into the Clarence Family, but with no reciprocation from them, the Campbell Family was now seeking another suitable match for her.

They didn't dare to provoke Stuart again. But besides Stuart, there were still many young talents in Hustalia.

However, after this incident, the Campbell Family found that the entire wealthy circle was shunning them. Mrs. Campbell used to go out and meet with a group of ladies for beauty treatments and card games, always feeling quite proud. But now, when she invited others, they ignored her.

Previously, there were a few families who said their sons were of similar age to Shirley, but now there was no news. The Campbell Family realized that crossing Stuart would not end well.

However, they didn't expect Stuart to be so ruthless. In just a few days, the Campbell Family saw the hypocrisy of the wealthy circle.

It was the Starlight Festival, a time when their home used to be bustling with activity. Now, no one visited, and no one invited them.

Mrs. Campbell was very dissatisfied with the current situation and blamed Alfonso for being useless. If she had known, she wouldn't have let him provoke Josephine.

Alfonso rarely went out now, afraid of the judgmental looks from others. He discussed with his family, and if things didn't improve, they would go abroad.

Luckily, with some assets still untouched, they could make a fresh start abroad. But Alfonso, having suffered such a loss, wasn't ready to let it go. He was no match for Stuart now; Alfonso had to find a new backer to stay afloat.

The Clarence Family was out of the question, and they shouldn't expect to find their lost daughter either.

The paternity test results had long been out, and Gerald was quite calm when he saw them. As expected, Josephine wasn't the person they were seeking, as the test results indicated no blood relation.

Gerald had grown accustomed to such disappointment over the past twenty years.

It was the Starlight Festival, and he rarely took a few days off, planning to visit his old boss who had recently been unwell and had a minor surgery in the hospital.

Gerald paid him a brief visit and left shortly after. As he exited the ward, his phone rang. He answered it, and out of the corner of his eye, he caught a glimpse of a girl. He quickly turned to look, but the hallway was silent and empty.

Gerald rubbed his temples and turned back to the phone. "Go ahead."

As he left, Josephine came out of the treatment room and turned back to say to the person inside, "Thank you!"
