Chapter 23 Is the Third Party’s Jealousy Justified
Josephine said, "I'm waiting here for Claudia."
Stuart asked with anger, "Where does she go? Does she leave you here alone?"
Josephine knew Stuart was dissatisfied with Claudia.
But she felt it wasn't Claudia's fault that this happened.
Stuart, seeing her silent, turned her wheelchair and said, "Come with me!"
To be honest, Josephine was now somewhat afraid. Being abroad didn't make her feel as secure as she did in her own country, especially after what had just happened.
Seeing Josephine's pale face, Stuart didn't say anything more.
Josephine's fingertips were still trembling as she messaged Claudia.
Stuart pushed the wheelchair.
Doris, initially expressionless, later held Stuart's arm and asked, "Are you okay? Are you hurt anywhere?"
Stuart shook his head and said, "I'm fine, don't worry."
Robin followed them.
Although he didn't see what happened, he could probably guess that someone wanted to do something to Josephine because she was so beautiful.
Robin snorted.
Even if he encountered such a thing, he would help, even if it was a stranger.
But seeing Stuart help Josephine, he felt a little angry.
Claudia quickly replied to Josephine's message, saying she would wait for her at the hotel.
On the way back, Josephine didn't say a word.
Stuart didn't say much either, with Doris beside him, talking about the things she bought these days and the places Stuart accompanied her to.
Josephine hoped she could turn off her hearing now.
She knew Doris was showing off to her, but she didn't stop her.
Robin also said something with provocation as he always had done.
Josephine had a very bad impression of Robin, partly because they had conflicts since they were young.
Another reason was that in high school, Robin liked a girl.
Robin had shown his playboy nature since he was a child.
The girl he liked happened to have a good relationship with Josephine.
Josephine didn't want her friend to have a relationship with a scumbag like Robin.
Her friend listened to Josephine's advice and rejected Robin's confession.
Since then, Robin's relationship with Josephine had become even worse.
But Josephine never cared about his attitude.
He hated Josephine, and Josephine hated him even more!
At the hotel, the driver helped to take the wheelchair out of the trunk.
Stuart instinctively wanted to hold Josephine.
Doris bit her lip, held Stuart's arm, and said, "Stuart."
Stuart froze.
Robin took the opportunity to step forward and said, "Let me do it!"
Josephine looked at him coldly and said, "No need. I can do it myself."
"Even in this state, you're still trying to be strong." Robin rolled up his sleeves, "Or do you want Stuart to hold you? Doris will be jealous."
Josephine really wanted to slap him.
She thought, 'Shameless! Spoke up for the Interloper!'
Robin deliberately embarrassed Josephine, despite Josephine's opposition, prepared to hug her. He was about to hug her when his collar was grabbed.
He turned around to see Stuart looking at him seriously. " Move aside."
Robin awkwardly said, "What are you doing? Can't I make a joke?"
With that, he stepped aside.
Doris stood by with jealousy, biting her lip.
He leaned over and whispered, "Doris, you have to work harder. I'm still waiting for you to marry Stuart."
Doris said, "Stuart is just soft-hearted and very kind. But what I like most is his kindness."
Robin smiled meaningfully.
Stuart didn't say anything; he directly carried Josephine out of the car and put her in the wheelchair.
Stuart was about to push her wheelchair, and Doris immediately stepped forward and said, "I'll do it," she said.
She pushed the wheelchair and said to Stuart, "I'll take Josephine there. Please wait for me in the lobby, okay?"
Josephine was too tired to say anything, so she let them handle it.
Stuart glanced at Josephine and nodded.
Doris pushed Josephine into the elevator.
Doris immediately said, "Josephine, I hope you don't misunderstand. Stuart is a very just person. He helped you, but it doesn't mean he has feelings for you."
Josephine sneered, “ You seemed to be proud to be a homewrecker.”
Doris's expression turned sour.
She took a deep breath and said, "I will marry Stuart, and I will wait for him."
Josephine closed her eyes.
Doris continued, "A few days ago, at the auction, he bought me a set of sapphire jewelry. Do you know how much it's worth?"
Josephine opened her eyes and saw the pride and show-off in Doris's eyes.
Josephine said, "Do you think you are suitable to wear sapphire jewelry?"
Doris hesitated for a moment, then said, "Sapphire jewelry is my favorite; that's why he bought it for me!"
When they arrived at the floor she needed to go to, Josephine controlled the wheelchair and went out.
Doris pressed the button for the first floor.
When they arrived on the first floor, Stuart was indeed waiting for her, but Robin was nowhere to be seen.
Doris sat down next to Stuart, thought about what Josephine had said, and couldn't help but say, "Stuart, although that set of sapphire jewelry is beautiful, I always feel it's not quite suitable for me. And it's so expensive; how about we exchange it for something else?"
"Who said it's not suitable for you?" Stuart glanced at her. "It suits you very well."
"But..." Doris said softly, "I seem to like diamonds more."
"Didn't you bid on that diamond last time?" Stuart frowned. "Sapphire jewelry is much prettier than diamonds."
Doris nodded in frustration.
Stuart looked at her and asked, "Are you unhappy?"
Doris bit her lip and said, "No. I think your behavior today is too risky. I'm not mean that you shouldn't save Josephine, but what if you get hurt? What should I do then?"
Stuart's gaze softened a lot, and he said, "Okay, I understand."
"Even if you see a stranger being bullied, you will help them, right?" Stuart nodded.
Doris continued, "I heard that the dress design competition Claudia participated in will have an auction, and the winning clothes will be auctioned on the spot."
"Are you interested?" Stuart said. "We can go and see, and I'll buy you whatever you like."
At this time, Josephine returned to the room, and Claudia was still busy.
She had no idea what had happened. Noticing Josephine's return, she said without looking up, "I haven't finished yet. You can take a break first. Let me know if you need anything."
Josephine glanced at her clothes and smiled, "It looks great. You will definitely win."
Claudia said, "I not only want to win, but I also hope to sell it for a good price."
Claudia wanted to expand her store, but her funds were insufficient.
This competition design, which she put all her efforts into, was her only hope.
"Sure," Josephine said, "It will definitely sell for a high price!"
The design competition was global in scope and carried a lot of prestige.
The attendees were all wealthy, so it was common for them to spend a fortune at the auction to acquire a piece of clothing they liked.
