Chapter 142 Make You Unable to Leave Hustalia!

Stuart was clueless. "So, she didn't pass it on?"

"I don't know the details. But since then, Robin's treated Josephine like an enemy," Jair said. "Don't take anything Robin says seriously. He's got a grudge against her."

Over the years, Stuart had lost track of how many bad things Robin had said about Josephine.

The most common topic was Josephine and Liam, which always upset Stuart.

Because of this, every time he saw Josephine at home, he couldn't help but look stern.

Just thinking about her being close to Liam made him angry.

"Robin really holds a grudge against Josephine," Stuart frowned. "Actually, I..."

He struggled to find the words. There were things he needed to sort out.

His feelings for Angela might not be as strong as for Josephine.

He couldn't accept this realization right away.

Jair noticed his inner conflict and said, "Stuart, your actions lately haven't been great. You should apologize to Josephine. Think about your future."

Stuart's emotional journey went from "What's the big deal?" when Josephine first wanted a divorce, to "You can't divorce me," to finding her diary and thinking, "You love me so much; you won't leave me."

He never expected they would actually get divorced.

Now, Stuart could only think, 'This divorce isn't real!'

After days of struggling, he finally realized he was the only one who didn't want the divorce.

Josephine really wanted to leave him.

He didn't want to admit it, but he was panicking inside.

He had relied on Josephine's love, believing she didn't want a divorce, so he had been fearless.

Now, hearing Jair's analysis, it seemed Josephine really wanted to leave.

Stuart felt waves of pain in his heart.

Jair didn't want to make it worse.

He just said, "Stop drinking. I'll take you home. When you sober up tomorrow, apologize to Josephine first."

Jair thought the chances of them getting back together were slim, given Josephine's firm stance.

Even if he wanted to mediate, Stuart's recent actions had been too much, burning all bridges.

He took Stuart home and said before leaving, "What's the deal with Robin's cousin? If you're truly sorry, clean up these matters."

Stuart casually replied, "Got it."

He didn't take Donna seriously at all.

When he got home, Andrew was on the couch and found another reason to scold him.

Ever since his divorce from Josephine, Andrew had found various reasons to scold him whenever he came home, regardless of work matters.

Stuart could only listen.

After Andrew finished, Stuart went to his bedroom, took a shower, and felt incredibly clear-headed.

He wanted to see Josephine.

Even if he couldn't see her, just hearing her voice would be enough!

He immediately took out his phone and called her.

He called several times but couldn't get through.

Only then did Stuart realize that Josephine had blocked him.

When he tried to send a message, he found he was blocked too.

His chest hurt with anger; he went downstairs to find Andrew, trying to suppress his rage.

Stuart was all over the place, eyes wandering, stammering, and making no sense.

Andrew slammed the table. "What are you trying to say?"

Stuart rubbed his nose, feeling awkward. "Grandpa, can you call Josephine for me?"

Andrew was furious. "Can't you make the call yourself?"

Stuart said, "She blocked me."

It was embarrassing, but he had no other options. Calling her was more important.

Andrew pointed at him. "What am I supposed to do with you?"

Still, he couldn't bear to see Stuart suffer and wanted them to reconcile.

Andrew made the call. It was quickly answered.

Andrew spoke kindly, "Josephine, are you still up?"

Josephine had just returned from dinner with Liam and some others.

She quickly replied, "No, Grandpa. Why are you still up?"

"I..." Andrew saw Stuart's eager face and said, "Josephine, hold on, Stuart wants to talk to you."

Since the call was from Andrew, Josephine couldn't hang up.

Stuart quickly took the phone, thought for a moment, stood up, gestured to Andrew, and walked upstairs with the phone.

Andrew snorted, annoyed but hopeful Stuart could win Josephine back.

However, within a minute, Stuart came back down looking dejected.

Andrew was puzzled. "What happened?"

Stuart didn't care about the embarrassment. "I didn't finish speaking, and she hung up."

"You!" Andrew sighed. "Serves you right! What were you doing earlier?"

"Grandpa," Stuart lowered his head, pleading. "Could you call again?"

Andrew said, "Can't you call yourself?"

Stuart replied, "She'll hang up as soon as she hears my voice."

"What's the use of you?" Andrew's mustache twitched in anger, but he still made the call.

Stuart quickly said, "Please say a few good words for me."

Andrew glared at him, but when the call connected, his face immediately softened. "Josephine, it's me."

Josephine had just hung up on Stuart without any guilt.

However, it was Andrew, whom she respected, so she smiled and said, "Grandpa, do you need something?"

"Josephine, for my sake, let Stuart say a few words to you," Andrew said. "He knows he's wrong. Whether you forgive him or not, at least give him a chance to apologize, okay?"

Since Andrew put it that way, Josephine could only agree.

She said, "Okay."

Andrew handed the phone to Stuart. "Make the most of it!"

Stuart clutched the phone and walked upstairs. "Josephine..."

"Mr. Haustia," Josephine interrupted. "We have no relationship now. Don't call me so intimately. Also, there's no need to apologize. When I said I didn't want any contact with you, I wasn't joking. Don't try to persuade me through Grandpa; it won't work."

Sensing she was about to hang up, Stuart quickly said, "You should see my sincerity in the visa matter. Josephine, let's talk. I have a lot to say to you."

"If it weren't for you, my visa would have been done long ago." Josephine got angry just thinking about it. "We have nothing to talk about!"

"Josephine!" Stuart didn't know where his anger came from, maybe it was fear. "If we don't clear things up, I guarantee you won't be able to leave Hustalia!"
