Chapter 461 If Nothing Unexpected Happens

Stuart held her and asked, "Do you still want a divorce?"

Josephine felt wronged. "Weren't you the one who brought it up? How can you blame me for it?"

Stuart said, "Then let's not mention it anymore."

Josephine was helpless. "If you don't bring it up, I naturally won't either."

"Okay, let's not mention it." Stuart let go of her and looked down at her. "Josephine, it's great, we're legally married again."

Josephine looked at him too. "Even when we weren't legally married, you didn't miss out on anything you should do."

Stuart's lips curved up. "But now, I can do it with more confidence."

"When you weren't confident, I didn't see you holding back."

"If I held back, how could I satisfy you?"

"In broad daylight, your mind is full of dirty thoughts again!" Josephine glared at him. "Hurry up, we haven't told Grandpa the good news yet."

Andrew knew they got their marriage certificate and was naturally very happy. "Where's the marriage certificate? Let me see."

Stuart said, "What do you need to see? We got the certificate, how could we lie to you?"

Andrew said, "I just want to see it, what's wrong with that?"

Stuart said, "Don't look at it, I've already put it away."

"Put it away?" Andrew was puzzled. "Take it out again if you've put it away."

Josephine couldn't stop laughing and pushed him. "Hurry up and show it to Grandpa."

Stuart reluctantly went upstairs.

Andrew asked, "What's wrong with him? Being so stingy about a marriage certificate, not letting anyone see it."

Josephine said, "He might have a fear of divorce, saying that if he puts the marriage certificate away, I won't have a chance to divorce him. Grandpa, don't you think he's funny?"

"That bastard! Doesn't he remember whose fault it was wanting a divorce before! Now he knows!" Andrew was quite angry. "What's the use of all this nonsense, treating you well is the right way!"

Stuart came down after a while and got scolded again. But when Andrew saw the marriage certificate, his eyes squinted with a smile, and his mood instantly improved.

Stuart didn't know why he was scolded, but Andrew was an elder, so it didn't matter if he got scolded a bit. Besides, he was in a good mood today, so he wouldn't get angry no matter who scolded him.

Josephine and Andrew sat together looking at the marriage certificate.

To be honest, after getting it, Josephine hadn't looked at it carefully and just let Stuart take it away.

While they were looking at it, Stuart's phone rang. He glanced at it and walked to the window to answer.

"Congratulations. That was fast." Jair remarked as soon as the call connected.

Stuart smiled. "Thanks. You saw it?"

"I don't have time to look at Instagram, Claudia told me," Jair said.

Stuart was genuinely happy. "You should hurry up too."

"Yeah, I've discussed it with Claudia, we'll get the certificate before the wedding."

After hanging up, Stuart thought for a moment and called Steven.

Steven answered quickly. "What's up?"

"Josephine and I got our marriage certificate."

Steven immediately sat up straight. "When did this happen?"

"Just got it." Stuart's voice was filled with joy. "It's still fresh."

Steven said, "Congratulations."

"When are you going? Hurry up."

Steven said, "You think I don't want to? It depends on Laura's mood."

Stuart said, "Why don't you tell her that getting the certificate on the same day as Josephine and me would be quite memorable. See if she'll go for it."

Steven's eyes lit up. "Right! I'll go tell her now!"

He put down the phone and called Laura.

Laura seemed carefree, but she actually had quite a few businesses under her, managed by professionals, so she only checked in occasionally.

Steven called her just as she finished some work and asked, "What's up?"

"Darling, Stuart just called me, he and Josephine got their marriage certificate."

"Really?" Laura was quite happy to hear that. "That's great."

"Look, they've got their certificate, shouldn't we get ours before the wedding too?"

Laura said, "What's the rush, City Hall isn't going anywhere."

Steven thought, 'City Hall isn't going anywhere, but you are.'

Steven had no choice but to try Stuart's suggestion. "Look, we're having the wedding with Stuart and Josephine, but if we get the certificate on the same day, it would be quite memorable. You and Josephine are like sisters, it would be a beautiful memory."

To be honest, this suggestion really moved Laura. Seeing her waver, Steven immediately said, "Darling, I'll grab my driver's license and come to you right now!"

Laura didn't have time to say anything before he hung up. As far as she could remember, this was the first time Steven had hung up on her. But Laura wasn't angry, she looked at her phone, her lips slowly curving into a smile.

After calling Steven, Stuart thought for a moment and called Jair back. Since he had already told Steven, why not include Jair too, and have all three couples get their certificates on the same day.

Sure enough, hearing his suggestion, Jair immediately said, "I'll go find Claudia right now!"

He was busy at the military base, but after hearing this, he couldn't stop thinking about it.

He had already submitted the marriage application, and it had been approved, so he was ready to get the certificate with Claudia anytime.

Josephine didn't know that while she and Andrew were admiring their marriage certificate, Stuart had accomplished something big.

Stuart hung up the phone, and a few seconds later, it rang again. He looked down and saw it was a subordinate he had instructed earlier.

This call was different, Stuart answered it while walking outside. When Josephine and Andrew finished chatting, they found Stuart was no longer in the room.

She got up to look for him and saw Stuart standing in the garden, holding a cigarette that didn't seem to be lit.

Josephine walked towards him.

Hearing footsteps, Stuart turned around, and seeing her, his first reaction was to hide the cigarette.

"No need to hide," seeing his hand move behind his back, Josephine smiled. "I already saw it."

"I didn't smoke," Stuart quickly said, "I just had a craving and took one out."

Josephine said, "I didn't even know you still had cigarettes."

"It must be from before." Stuart said. "I'll throw it away now."

He then threw the cigarette and the pack from his pocket into the trash.

He reached out, and Josephine's hand clasped his, their fingers interlocking.

"What's wrong?" Josephine asked. "Is something bothering you? Why did you suddenly want to smoke?"

She knew he had quit smoking a long time ago, as she hadn't smelled smoke in ages and was very sensitive to that odor.

Stuart held her hand as they walked back. "Nothing, I just suddenly wanted to smoke after a phone call. By the way, I just called Steven and Jair, if all goes well, they can get their certificates today too."

Josephine was surprised. "All getting it today?"
