Laura looked around.

"Not long." Laura said, "I tested last week, showing positive."
"You didn't tell Steven?"
"No."
"Laura!"
Laura quickly grabbed her. "Don't be mad, I have my reasons."
"What reasons could you possibly have!" Josephine was furious: "For something like this, no reason is a good reason!"
"No." Laura felt guilty. "I was just afraid you guys would worry."
"Not telling us doesn't make us worry less! Steven even went to Stuart, not knowing what happened to you, thinking you went to Hustalia to see a lover!"
"What? He dared to doubt me?"
"Shouldn't he? Look at what you've done!"
Laura said, "I just wanted to wait until it was stable before telling you."
"Forget about us, what about Steven? He's the father! How could you keep something this big from him?"
"I didn't mean to keep it from him," Laura sighed, "If he knew I was pregnant, with his personality, he wouldn't let me go anywhere, treating me like a fragile doll!"
Josephine thought about it and agreed. With how Steven worried about Laura, if he knew she was pregnant, he would indeed treat her like a precious gem.

"Let me tell you," Laura said, "I had barbecue in the morning and fried chicken for lunch... Do you think he would let me eat these if he knew I was pregnant?"

Josephine looked at her. "Putting that aside, why did you suddenly want to have a baby? Steven didn't notice your unusual behavior?"
Laura said, "He's been busy these days, and I told him I wasn't feeling well at night, so I didn't sleep with him."

Just then, Stuart came out of the study with his phone: "Steven is coming to pick you up."
Laura said, "Alright."
Josephine asked her, "Where's your phone?"

Josephine said to Stuart, "Let him come, ask if he's eaten, and have the maid prepare something."
Stuart nodded and went back to the study.

Laura said, "I can accept being honest, but don't be so strict about food. I want to defend junk food! It has nutrients too, okay?"
