Chapter 442 Tossing Back and Forth

He felt that if he really didn't see Josephine for a few months, he would die.

Maybe that sounded a bit dramatic, but in the few days Josephine had been gone, he had insomnia again.

He felt like a robot; if Josephine didn't recharge him, he was just a pile of scrap metal, lifeless.

Since Josephine couldn't come back, he decided to go find her, meet her, and then return.

This way, he could see Josephine, ease his longing, and still take care of Andrew and Jeffery.

So he took a night flight, and when he arrived abroad, Josephine had just gotten off work.

He spent the night with her, and the next day, after Josephine went to work, he would return.

Seeing her should sustain him for a week. After a week, he would go see Josephine again, making the separation seem less long.

Before he left, he had informed his family, and Jeffery even wanted to go with him. But he knew that Jeffery would definitely interrupt his time with Josephine. If he brought Jeffery, they wouldn't be able to do anything.

Of course, it was indeed inconvenient. When Stuart arrived abroad, it was nighttime; he would sleep and wait for Josephine to go to work, then rush back.

It was tiring, but there was no other way. He had promised Josephine to take good care of Andrew and Jeffery.

If Andrew weren't so old, he would have taken both Andrew and Jeffery to follow Josephine abroad.

If it were in the past, not only would Stuart find it unbelievable that he himself was so whipped, but even if his friends were so clingy to their wives, he would find it incredible.

But now, experiencing it himself, it was no exaggeration. He simply couldn't live without Josephine.

Long flights were indeed exhausting. But Stuart forced himself to sleep for several hours on the plane. That way, he could be energetic when he saw Josephine.

When Josephine came out of the gate and saw Stuart, she thought she was seeing things. She wondered if she missed Stuart so much that she was hallucinating.

She glanced at him, looked away, and continued walking. Unable to resist, she looked again. How could a hallucination be so real?

The next second, before she could react, Stuart walked over and hugged her tightly.

The real touch and warm embrace stunned Josephine. She was momentarily dazed before she instinctively hugged Stuart's lean waist.

"Josephine." After a few days apart, seeing her made Stuart's longing almost overflow.

He let go of Josephine, held her face, and said with concern. "You've lost weight."

Josephine pulled his hand down and asked, "Why are you here? When did you arrive?"

Recalling their phone call that morning, she asked, "Did you take a night flight?"

Stuart knew that taking a night flight would get him scolded by Josephine. If she knew he was flying back that night, she would probably scold him even more.

But after days apart, their time together was counted by the hour, so Stuart didn't want to mention it.

He said, "I missed you so much, I had to see you, so I came."

"You..."

Before Josephine could finish, Stuart said, "I'm hungry."

Josephine couldn't bring herself to scold him. She first took Stuart to eat, then brought him back to his place.

Gerald had said it was very safe because Josephine's residence was within the research institute.

Since Stuart was already here, scolding him was pointless.

Besides, seeing Stuart made Josephine realize how much she missed him.

After eating, showering, hugging, and kissing, they naturally moved into their intimate time.

After more than a hundred hours, Stuart finally had Josephine again, feeling that this happiness had been far away for a long time.

The feeling of regaining what was lost was too happy, too sweet, too comfortable.

With Stuart's energy, he could have kept Josephine up all night. But considering Josephine's health and her work the next day, he restrained his desire and only made love twice before holding her to sleep.

Josephine was awakened by the alarm clock. When she opened her eyes, she felt disoriented.

Moving slightly, the sensations in her body reminded her of last night.

Appropriate lovemaking was undoubtedly wonderful. Stuart had timed it perfectly last night.

But when she opened her eyes and didn't see Stuart, Josephine wondered if it had all been a dream.

While she was in a daze, there was a noise outside the door. Stuart gently pushed the door open, saw her, paused, then smiled, "Awake? I was just about to call you. Get up and wash up, breakfast is ready."

As he entered, Josephine smelled a familiar aroma. "What did you make?"

She got out of bed, and as soon as she stood up, Stuart came over and kissed her on the lips.

"Your favorites. I couldn't come empty-handed, so I brought some things you like. Go wash up."

Stuart had made a very hearty breakfast, with a few particularly time-consuming dishes.

She couldn't help but ask, "What time did you get up?"

It seemed like he had been busy for two hours.

Stuart smiled, "I don't get up this early every day, just occasionally. Come on, eat while it's hot."

Josephine knew that since Stuart had promised her, he would definitely do it.

He said he would take care of Andrew and Jeffery, so he couldn't stay here with her for long. But she couldn't bring herself to ask when he was leaving.

It seemed like if she didn't ask, he could stay a bit longer.

But Stuart brought it up himself. "I'll leave when you go to work. I put some food in the freezer; you can just heat it up. Make sure to eat on time. I worked hard to get you to gain weight, and now you've lost it in just a few days."

Josephine's nose suddenly felt a bit sour. She quickly grabbed a tissue and sniffed. "Okay, I know."

Seeing her eyes turn red, Stuart felt a pang of heartache. He hugged Josephine, "Don't cry. If you cry, I won't want to leave."

Josephine hugged his neck, took a deep breath, calmed her emotions, and softly said, "Okay."

Stuart patted her back, "Maybe I'll come again in a few days."

Josephine said, "No, it's too tiring for you to travel back and forth like this."

"It's not tiring," Stuart said, "I can sleep on the plane anyway."

"Still, no," Josephine said, "You stay home and wait for me. I'll try to come back early."

"Okay," Stuart said, "Jair is proposing this weekend. I'll send you a video."

"Okay."

"Be good," Stuart coaxed her, "Focus on your work. I'll take good care of things at home."

"Be safe on your way back."

Stuart kissed her again, suppressing his sorrow, "I will."

After Josephine went to work, despite his reluctance, Stuart chose to leave.

Traveling back and forth like this was indeed exhausting for Stuart. He rested for two days, and soon it was time for Jair's proposal.
