Chapter 86 I Am a Beast

Doris used a hand-knitted scarf to exchange for Stuart's black card.

Stuart said, "Buy whatever you want; don't worry about the cost."

Claudia called Josephine. She ranted, "Doris is really showing off her sudden wealth; she came to my store and bought over a dozen outfits! And she used Stuart's card!"

Josephine asked calmly, "Really?"

"Why aren't you worried at all!" Claudia said angrily, "I bet it won't be long before you, Mrs. Haustia, will have to make way for her!"

Josephine said, "Whoever wants to be Mrs. Haustia can be one. Are you free tonight?"

Claudia asked, "What's up?"

Josephine said, "William got hurt; I told you about it last time. Since it was because of me, he said he wanted to have dinner with me, but I don't want to be alone with him."

"Got it!" Claudia laughed. She inquired, "Where are you guys eating? I'll show up and pretend to bump into you!"

Josephine also laughed. She agreed, "Okay."

Josephine and William arranged to have dinner together tonight.

Liam also knew about it and said, "Stuart, although impulsive and reckless, if he doesn't like William, there must be something wrong with William. Josephine, be careful."

When William first met her, he bought flowers and confessed his feelings to her. Josephine hoped he had given up on that idea by now.

Moreover, in Josephine's previous impression, Stuart was not an impulsive and reckless person.

Lately, she didn't know what was going on; he fought with Liam and then with William.

It was as if he had regressed several years, acting like a teenager in puberty.

In the evening, William arrived first.

He waited for Josephine outside the restaurant.

With his exceptional looks and physique, he stood out.

Josephine saw him, waved, and asked, "How are you now? Does it still hurt?"

William said, "It doesn't really affect my daily life; just need to take it easy."

They talked as they walked inside.

Claudia had already arrived and was sitting just to the right of the restaurant entrance.

As they entered, William saw her first.

Claudia looked up and saw them too.

She immediately raised her hand. She excitedly greeted, "Josephine!"

Josephine didn't expect her to be so early and smiled. She asked fondly, "Are you here for dinner too?"

Claudia said, "Yes, I had a dinner appointment with a client, but she had to leave suddenly."

Josephine looked at William. She asked, "Mr. Campbell, do you mind if Claudia joins us for dinner?"

William smiled. He replied, "Of course not."

William, being gentle and knowledgeable, made the dinner enjoyable for everyone.

Doris's people took photos of Josephine and William meeting outside the restaurant and walking in together.

Doris bought another phone number and anonymously sent the photos to Stuart.

When Josephine got home after dinner, she found Stuart already back, talking in the living room.

Seeing her, Andrew smiled. He called her over, "Josephine, you're back. Come over and have some fruit."

The plate had dark purple cherries and bright, juicy strawberries.

All of Josephine's favorites.

"Thank you, Andrew." Josephine sat next to Andrew. She reminded him, "Your blood sugar has been a bit high lately. you can have two or three strawberries."

Andrew said, "Alright, I'll listen to you. You should eat more; these fruits were air-shipped from abroad by Stuart."

Josephine glanced at Stuart.

Before Josephine came back, Andrew had scolded Stuart, telling him to get along well with Josephine and to pamper her more.

However, Josephine knew in her heart, Stuart would never do such a thing.

In front of Andrew, she just smiled. She complimented, "The fruit is very sweet."

They went upstairs to their bedroom, their faces cold and indifferent, like strangers, ignoring each other.

Josephine put her things down and went to take a shower, coming out fully dressed in her loungewear.

After coming out, she lay directly on the sofa.

Last night, Stuart didn't come back; she slept alone in the big bed.

Tonight, she planned to sleep on the sofa.

She definitely wouldn't sleep with Stuart.

Stuart didn't say anything either, went to the bathroom to shower, and came out with just a towel around his waist.

His upper body was bare, with well-defined chest and abdominal muscles.

Josephine averted her gaze, turned over, and faced away from him.

Stuart was confident in his physique; many socialites and celebrities liked him not just for his face.

If he were ugly, surely fewer people would like him.

From Josephine's past behavior, she also liked his physique.

Stuart felt that he was always the one taking the initiative, which seemed to benefit Josephine.

After all, everyone liked attractive people, and everyone had desires.

He wanted Josephine to take the initiative, even to beg him.

However, Josephine just glanced at him without any reaction and turned her back to him.

Stuart's anger flared up instantly.

Josephine always easily provoked his anger and his desire.

Stuart called out, "Josephine."

Josephine pretended to sleep, ignoring him.

Stuart sat directly on the sofa and grabbed her shoulder. "Talk! I know you're not asleep!"

Josephine shook off his hand. She said impatiently, "What do you want?"

Stuart asked coldly, "Do I need to remind you of your duties?"

Hearing this, Josephine got angry.

She sat up and pushed Stuart. She snapped at him, "Is this all you think about all day? Will you die if you don't have sex? I don't want to sleep with you; I find it disgusting! Stay away from me!"

Stuart's eyes turned red, and he grabbed her shoulder. He said angrily, "Don't want to sleep with me? Who do you want to sleep with? Liam or William? You're already thinking about other men before the divorce?"

"Stuart!" Josephine pushed him again. She yelled, "You beast!"

"Yes, I'm a beast." Stuart was furious. He shot back, "Disgusted by sleeping with me? I should have made you look in the mirror! See how much you enjoyed it! Disgusting? I think you're disgusting! Didn't want to sleep with me but still spread your legs? Do you do the same with other men?!"

Josephine was trembling with anger.

Her throat choked, unable to say a word.

"What, feeling guilty?" Stuart sneered, "Did I hit the mark?"

Smack!

A crisp sound.

Stuart's face was slapped to the side.

The room fell silent.

Only Josephine's uneven breathing could be heard.

She was trembling all over after hitting him.

Stuart was quiet for a few seconds, then suddenly laughed.

"The second time." He looked at Josephine and sneered, "Josephine, this is the second time you've hit me."

Josephine took a deep breath. She retorted, "That's because you're a beast!"

"Yes." Stuart grabbed her chin. He said sarcastically, "I'm a beast; I don't do good things because I'm a beast."

"What are you doing?!" Josephine exclaimed as she pushed him.

"What do you think a beast does?" Stuart pressed her down, gritting his teeth. He stated, "Sleep with you!"
