Chapter 564 Stop Making Trouble

Ulysses didn't feel well all day.

He couldn't quite pinpoint what was wrong; he just felt irritable.

He looked at his phone, but there were no messages he wanted to reply to.

He opened the chat interface with Isadora.

The last time they chatted, he told Isadora not to bother him.

Since then, Isadora hadn't contacted him.

Ulysses didn't know what was wrong with him.

He turned off his phone and tried to focus on the knowledge in his textbook.

But when he went to dinner, he saw Isadora.

Isadora was wearing a white tracksuit, with no accessories on it, simple yet beautiful.

She was standing idly at the entrance of the cafeteria, even reaching out to touch the roses planted there.

After a while, she looked up and saw Ulysses; her eyes immediately brightened.

She ran towards Ulysses, "You're here! Good thing I waited for you, otherwise I would have come for nothing."

"Why are you waiting for me?" Ulysses asked expressionlessly.

But he felt a bit excited inside.

"I'm here to remind you kindly," Isadora said. "I've observed that Madeline has been with her boyfriend for a long time. You said she's your girlfriend, are you kidding?"

Ulysses definitely denied it: "I never said she was my girlfriend."

"Alright, then, who is your girlfriend?"

"Is it any of your business?" Ulysses said, then couldn't help but add, "It's definitely not you."

Isadora stomped her foot in anger, "Do you have a girlfriend or not? If you're a man, just tell the truth!"

Ulysses had no choice but to say, "No, so what? I'm not making you my girlfriend either!"

Isadora said, "Then I'm relieved. You won't find one for now, I'll keep pursuing you. I don't believe that such a good girl like me won't make you fall for me!"

Ulysses said, "Why bother? What about the guy who was chasing you this morning? Isn't he good?"

"He's good."

Hearing this, Ulysses felt a bit annoyed.

At this point, Ulysses didn't realize he had a rather awkward personality.

After all, he had never been like this with anyone else before.

Ulysses snorted.

Isadora continued, "But I don't like his type."

Hearing this, Ulysses felt a bit better.

Isadora then said, "Are you going to eat? Let's eat together?"

"Do you have a meal card?"

A rich girl like her, when did she ever eat in the cafeteria?

Isadora said, "I... I was thinking you could treat me. Don't worry, you treat me today, I'll treat you tomorrow!"

"You're pursuing me and still want me to treat you? How can you be so opportunistic?" He said and walked away.

Isadora followed him, "I said I'll treat you tomorrow. Don't worry, I'll treat you to a big meal tomorrow."

Ulysses said, "I have to work tomorrow, no time."

"What kind of job this time?" Isadora asked, "By the way, I have a job here, do you want to try it?"

Ulysses asked, "What job?"

Isadora said, "Just a personal assistant. The pay is quite good, and there's not much to do. Do you want to come?"

"Personal assistant?" Ulysses said, "I don't have that much time."

Isadora said, "It's basically just at noon and in the evening, no need for other times."

"Whose personal assistant?"

Isadora felt a bit uneasy. "It's me."

Ulysses looked at her and sneered, "Is it fun to tease me?"

Isadora said, "Of course not! I've been working out recently and wanted to find a workout partner. I think you're quite suitable."

"Sorry, not suitable," Ulysses said, "Find someone else for this job."

Isadora just wanted to be with him, so she came up with this idea.

She knew Ulysses might not agree.

She said, "Alright then. Are you going to work tonight?"

Ulysses didn't want to pay attention to her, he was so annoyed.

But looking at her bright eyes, he couldn't help but say, "Yes."

"Where to?"

"Bubble tea shop."

"Got it."

Ulysses used his meal card to treat her to a meal.

After eating, Ulysses left.

He went to the bubble tea shop, initially busy in the back kitchen, but later came out when the front got too busy.

The manager originally wanted him to stay in the front, but many female students would chat him up and ask for his contact information.

Ulysses found it very annoying.

So he voluntarily went to the back kitchen, only occasionally coming to the front to help.

When he came out, he saw Isadora.

She was also wearing a small apron from the bubble tea shop, with a ponytail, looking fresh and energetic.

"What are you doing here?" Ulysses' voice was filled with surprise.

Isadora smiled at him, "I'm here to work too."

"Nonsense," Ulysses frowned, "What kind of work are you doing?"

Everyone at school knew her family was wealthy.

She was dressed in designer clothes from head to toe, and her cheapest purse cost tens of thousands of dollars.

"Why, do I need your permission to work? I've already passed the interview! I can start now!"

Ulysses certainly understood why she was here.

Thinking she was a rich girl, she definitely couldn't handle this kind of hardship.

She might not be able to stand it and leave soon.

Ulysses ignored her and went into the kitchen.

Isadora followed him, "Teach me."

Ulysses said, "Ask the manager to find someone for you. I won't teach."

"Then I'll learn by myself," Isadora watched his operation, "It's not that hard."

She said and went to grab the kettle nearby, "I'll give it a try."

"Be careful!" Ulysses grabbed her wrist, but it was too late.

Isadora exclaimed, and the hot water from the kettle splashed onto the back of her hand.

Ulysses, with a stern face, pulled her hand directly under the faucet to rinse.

Isadora, ignoring the pain on the back of her hand, looked up at him foolishly.

Ulysses seemed to forget that she could rinse her hand herself.

He kept holding her hand. "Can you still feel it?"

When scalded by hot water, she must rinse with cold water until the burned area had no sensation.

It was just a few drops of hot water that splashed over.

Isadora shook her head. "It doesn't hurt anymore."

Ulysses realized what he had just done.

He was so anxious that he didn't notice he was holding Isadora's hand.

He quickly let go, his earlobes quietly turning red, and said awkwardly, "Stop causing trouble, go to the front to take orders!"

"I'm fine, I can learn," Isadora said, "That was hot water, I remember."

Ulysses turned around, not looking at her, and continued his work.

Isadora kept following him.

When there were finally fewer customers, Ulysses went back to the kitchen.

Isadora followed him.

Ulysses couldn't stand it anymore. "Why are you following me?"

Isadora pitifully extended her hand. "It hurts."
