Chapter 77 Bullying Her Terribly

Josephine looked at him, thinking about her five-year-long crush.

Maybe tonight, it could finally come to an end.

Josephine said, "What if I say yes?"

Stuart stared at her. He said seriously, "Josephine, this joke isn't funny at all."

"Joke." Josephine laughed at herself. She said sarcastically, "You think this is a joke? Well, in your eyes, I guess I am a joke."

"Josephine, what do you mean?" Stuart's mind was a bit muddled, unable to grasp the situation. He asked, "Another plan to trick me into a divorce?"

Josephine shook her head in disagreement. She said, "Stuart, you never thought about giving your love in this marriage, did you?"

Without thinking, Stuart said directly, "No."

Josephine felt a sharp pain in her heart.

"I want to go back and stay with my colleagues." Josephine didn't want to talk anymore. She said dejectedly, "Stuart, let me go."

Stuart felt like she wasn't being honest, which made him angry.

"No way!" He grabbed her wrist and pulled her inside. He insisted stubbornly, "You have to sleep here, no discussion."

Josephine was exhausted, her heart completely broken.

She smiled. She said calmly, "What am I staying for? I'm on my period. You can't do anything."

Stuart was momentarily annoyed.

Did Josephine think all he had in mind was sex?

However, seeing Josephine's mocking gaze, he lost his temper and said, "Didn't you try last night? Besides your legs, you can use your chest, even your mouth."

Josephine gritted her teeth. She replied impatiently, "Stuart! Don't you dare!"

Stuart looked at her. He warned her,"So, don't test my limits, or I don't know what I might do."

He pulled her to sit on the bed. He said, "I'm going to take a shower. If you dare to leave, you'll face the consequences."

Josephine had no will to resist.

She collapsed on the bed and sent a message to her colleague.

After a moment of thought, she called William.

She didn't say much, just asked a few questions about his condition, then quickly hung up.

She was afraid Stuart would come out and hear, causing another scene.

Stuart came out of the shower wrapped in a towel.

His chest and abs looked good but not exaggerated, exuding masculine strength.

Josephine had no interest in admiring it.

Stuart stood by the bed, looking down at her. He said, "Go take a shower."

Josephine didn't want to move.

She was very tired, physically and emotionally.

From realizing she liked Stuart to marrying him for three years, nearly five years of her life were consumed by this hopeless relationship.

So tired.

Really tired.

Stuart leaned on the bed with both hands, bending down to look at her. He teased, "You don't want me to bathe you, do you?"

Josephine didn't even want to speak.

Stuart snorted, "Josephine, don't push it!"

Josephine opened her eyes to look at him. She scolded, "Can you be quiet, please?"

Stuart frowned. He replied,"You're talking weird tonight."

Josephine closed her eyes again, not wanting to deal with him.

Stuart sighed and said, "I don't want to argue with you."

Josephine exclaimed and hugged his neck. She asked anxiously, "What are you doing!"

Stuart picked her up and walked to the bathroom. He simply replied, "You're acting like a spoiled brat; don't you just want me to bathe you?"

Josephine was annoyed. She demanded, "Put me down!"

Stuart said, "Keep your voice down, Jair said the rooms are not soundproof."

Josephine immediately covered her mouth.

Her actions were inexplicably cute.

Stuart's eyes showed a hint of a smile. He said, "I'll bathe you. I'm a man, I won't argue with a woman."

Josephine gritted her teeth and glared at him.

Stuart said, "Alright, I'll bathe you, and the previous matter will be over."

Josephine asked him, "What matter?"

Stuart was embarrassed to admit he was wrong. Anyway, he had already hit William; at worst, he could compensate William.

He said, "Whatever it is, let it go. As a member of the Haustia family, don't keep talking about divorce all the time. People might think our Haustia family has no principles."

Josephine closed her eyes, saying nothing.

The divorce was inevitable.

Even if Stuart bathed her with some tenderness.

However, Josephine knew very well, Stuart only liked her body.

He was pleasing her just to satisfy his desires.

As expected, in the bathroom, Stuart wanted to have sex with her.

Josephine was on her period, unable to have real sex, but Stuart somehow knew many teasing methods.

Josephine didn't dare to scream, afraid the neighbors would hear.

Forced to the point of tears, she looked like she had been bullied badly.

In bed, Josephine rolled to the farthest side, turning her back to him, not wanting to say a word.

However, Stuart pulled her back, holding her in his arms.

Josephine was both angry and tired, and soon fell asleep.

Stuart heard her steady breathing, kissed her cheek, and also fell asleep.

In the morning, when Josephine opened her eyes, Stuart was already gone.

She went to freshen up and found in the mirror that her body was covered with marks left by Stuart.

There were kisses, bites, even finger marks from where he had gripped her too hard.

Luckily, it was winter, and she could cover them up with clothes.

Josephine put on her clothes expressionlessly and went to meet her colleagues.

A few days passed, and Josephine didn't hear from William. She found some time and called him.

She first asked about his health; upon hearing he was slowly recovering, Josephine said, "That's good. Also, you mentioned suing Stuart before; do you need me to do anything?"

William chuckled lightly on the other end. "He replied, Not suing anymore."

Josephine was surprised. She asked, "Why?"

Clearly, Stuart was in the wrong.

If William insisted on holding Stuart accountable, given Stuart's power, he wouldn't be in trouble, but he would probably have to compensate.

"Because of you," William said, "Josephine, I don't want to make things difficult for you."

Josephine was stunned.

She didn't expect William to say something like that.

She quickly said, "Don't be like that; I won't be in a difficult position. Stuart was wrong, he should face the consequences."

"Forget it," William said, "You're his wife; I don't know what he does to you. Josephine, I hope you are well."

To Josephine, William was just someone she knew a little better than a stranger.

They couldn't be called friends.

But now, this man she had only met a few times was worried about her.

What about Stuart? He seemed to never care about her feelings.

Josephine was silent for a few seconds before speaking, "Thank you."

William said, "If you really want to thank me, can you treat me to a meal?"

Josephine had no excuse to refuse. She replied, "When I get back from the military base."

William said, "Alright, I'll wait for you."

After hanging up, Josephine laughed at herself.

She knew she had a good family background and looks, but she had no confidence in front of Stuart.

In three years of marriage, she didn't even dare to show her true self in front of Stuart, mimicking others' styles to please him.

Fortunately, this kind of life was coming to an end.

Josephine could be a shining star after all.
