Chapter 457 My Future Is in Your Hands
Josephine lowered her gaze and looked at the blue diamond again. Even though she wasn't an expert, she knew this ring must have been very expensive. Maybe feelings couldn't be measured by money, but often, the more he cared, the more he wanted to give her the best.
Josephine looked at the ring and smiled. She raised her hand, lowered her head, and kissed the ring. Then, she looked at Stuart. "I do," she said.
Stuart knew that this time, Josephine wouldn't reject him. But hearing those words, he still couldn't help but tear up.
Seeing him standing there dumbfounded, Josephine tilted her head and looked at him, "At this moment, shouldn't the successful proposer hug his fiancée?"
Caught off guard, two clear tears rolled down Stuart's cheeks.
Josephine found it both funny and heart-wrenching. She stood up and reached out to hug Stuart. "Since my fiancé doesn't want to move, I, the fiancée, will have to hug you."
As soon as she finished speaking, Stuart reached out and pulled her into his arms with great force. The strength was so great, it was as if he wanted to merge her into his flesh and blood.
Josephine whispered softly, "It hurts."
Only then did Stuart loosen his grip, but he still held onto Josephine. He kissed Josephine's cheek, "Josephine, thank you."
Josephine kissed him back, "For the rest of our lives, we'll always be together."
"My future is in your hands," Stuart looked at her, "Wife."
Josephine's earlobes turned red, and a wave of shyness washed over her.
Stuart looked at her, feeling incredibly sweet inside.
"Call me," he said.
Josephine hadn't reacted yet, "What?"
"I called you 'wife,' what do you call me?"
Stuart had never made such a request before.
At most, he would ask her to call him something nice when they were in bed.
Stuart pushed Josephine down and pressed on top of her, "Will you call me?"
Josephine looked at him in disbelief, "You..."
Stuart said, "Just thinking about it excites me. Josephine, call me once."
Josephine was even more reluctant to call him. She was afraid Stuart wouldn't be able to control himself. She hadn't recovered yet. But how could Stuart let her go? To hear her call him "husband," Stuart put in a lot of effort.
In the end, Josephine's voice was fragmented, but at least she fulfilled Stuart's wish.
Josephine fell asleep directly.
When they woke up again, they were truly inseparable, the love and sweetness in their eyes were too obvious.
On the plane back to the States, Stuart held her hand and didn't want to let go, "Will you stay at The Clarence Family for just two days?"
Josephine said, "Two days? My mom probably won't agree."
Stuart said, "But you still have me, waiting for you at home."
Josephine smiled at him, "You?"
Stuart leaned against her neck, "Yes, if you don't find me, I'll die."
"Where's your sense of shame?"
Stuart said, "To have a wife, who needs a sense of shame."
He added, "But I'll try to go back to The Clarence Family with you next time!"
Josephine said, "Okay."
"Then after we get back, we need to start choosing a wedding dress and taking wedding photos."
Josephine frowned, "Let's skip the wedding photos."
Stuart said, "Laura and Claudia are both taking them, why shouldn't we? Besides, we didn't take any before, now we can make up for it."
"It's very troublesome."
"It's not troublesome," Stuart said, "You don't have to do anything, just be beautiful."
"Just the makeup and changing clothes is troublesome." Josephine sighed, "Getting married is so tiring."
"You're tired before we even start?" Stuart couldn't help but laugh, "Just pity me, okay? Otherwise, I'll really become a single man."
"You arrange it," Josephine compromised, "I'll listen to you, okay?"
Only then was Stuart satisfied.
On the way back from the airport, Josephine saw him chatting in a group chat.
Stuart showed her.
Seeing the group name "Collective Wedding Planning Group," Josephine couldn't help but laugh. "You even created a group?"
"They're the wedding planners, and Steven and Jair," Stuart said, "The planner said it's the first time they've seen a group full of grooms, usually it's the brides who worry about these things."
Josephine said, "Maybe it's because this time, it's the grooms who are eager to get married."
Indeed, whether it was Jair or Steven, they had both worked hard to win their partners over.
Stuart was no exception.
Moreover, Jair had another reason for being so eager to get married. His family, after meeting Claudia last time, didn't just urge him to get married, they started urging them to have children.
And Claudia, being good-natured, agreed and said that as soon as they got married, they would start trying for a baby.
Because of this, Jair specifically talked to her, "You don't have to take to heart what my family says. When to have children and how many is entirely up to you. We decide when to have them, not my family. Claudia, I prioritize your wishes."
"I'm willing," Claudia said, "I love children, and once we get married, I want to have one."
"You're so eager to have my child?"
Claudia nodded, "Yes, I want to."
With her being so straightforward, Jair couldn't resist and pressed Claudia onto the bed in broad daylight, having his way with her.
The wedding was originally set for October, but now it was already September, Jair no longer held back and indulged himself.
They had always used protection before, but now they didn't, and Jair found himself addicted to the feeling.
The day Josephine returned, she went to the hotel first. She had thought about seeing Andrew first, but it didn't seem right not to have a meal with him. In the end, Gerald suggested eating out, with both families together.
This was the first formal meeting between the elders of both families.
On the way back from the airport, Stuart specifically put the ring on Josephine's finger. Because it was too big and too flashy, it wasn't suitable for everyday wear.
But now that they were meeting the parents, Stuart thought it was better to wear it. Otherwise, how could he show it off?
After the two families greeted each other, sure enough, Ulysses noticed first, "Josephine! Your ring is so beautiful! Did Stuart give it to you?"
Josephine smiled and nodded, "Yes."
Gerald looked at Stuart, "Proposed?"
Stuart also nodded, "Yes, Josephine agreed."
"That's great," Andrew said, "This is wonderful news. Josephine, thank you for giving Stuart this chance. Come, let's have a drink!"
Nicole quickly raised her glass, "Mr. Andrew Haustia, you're too kind. Cheers to you."
The whole family raised their glasses together. Then they started discussing the wedding plans.
