Chapter 484 You Are Not Allowed to Be Angry

After Josephine asked this question, there were a few seconds of silence on the other end.

When Josephine was about to say something else, Laura said, "Let's talk when we meet."

Josephine said, "Okay."

Laura said, "I'll head over first! It will take me about twenty minutes. By the time I get there, Stuart should have it ready, right?"

Josephine couldn't help but laugh, "Alright, I'll have him make it now!"

After hanging up, the vague suspicion hidden in her heart kept Josephine's lips from curving into a smile.

She quickly went to find Stuart.

Stuart was watching Jeffery write.

He practiced writing for half an hour every day.

Finding Stuart, she said a word to Jeffery and then pulled Stuart out.

"What's going on?" Stuart was very puzzled by her actions.

When Josephine led him to the kitchen, he was even more confused, "Are you hungry? What are we doing in the kitchen?"

"Quick, check if we have all the ingredients to make Tom Yum."

"Tom Yum?" Stuart checked the fridge. "You want some?"

"Not me."

"Not you?" Stuart paused, "Who then? Grandpa? It can't be Jeffery, right?"

"It's Laura."

"Laura?" Stuart was very surprised, "She wants Tom Yum now? She wants me to make it?"

"Yeah," Josephine said, "Hurry up! She'll be here soon!"

Stuart was reluctant, "Am I her chef? I cook for you all my life, and now I have to cook for her too?"

"What? You don't want to?" Josephine tugged at his sleeve, "Honey, babe, hurry up!"

Josephine rarely called him that.

Unless they were in bed, and Stuart forced her to say it a few times.

Stuart laughed in exasperation, "Now you know to call me honey? Why didn't you call me when I asked you to?"

"I'll call, I'll call you from now on." Josephine peeked into the fridge. "Do we have enough ingredients? Do we need to buy anything?"

Stuart pulled her away, "What are you looking at? Can you cook? It's enough, this is very simple."

"You're the best, honey." Josephine stood on tiptoe and kissed his cheek, "Love you."

Stuart was very pleased.

Not to mention making Tom Yum, with Josephine's attitude, he would have no problem making a full-course meal.

Although he was reluctant to cook for another woman.

But with Josephine looking at him with approving eyes, no man could resist.

The last time he made this was in the summer.

The weather was hot, and Josephine had no appetite, so Stuart made this.

Sour and a bit spicy, it was very appetizing.

Josephine loved it, and Stuart made it a few more times afterward. Occasionally, when Steven and his wife came over, they also had some.

But compared to other delicacies, this soup wasn't particularly outstanding at the time.

Who knew that after so long, Laura would remember it again?

"She hasn't had dinner yet?" Stuart was surprised when he asked about Laura, "Why so late? What about Steven?"

"I didn't ask her."

"And the thing I asked you to ask, you didn't ask either?"

"I didn't have time, she called right away. I'll ask when she gets here."

"Alright."

"But," Josephine leaned closer to him, "I'll tell you a secret..."

With the range hood on, Stuart didn't hear clearly and tilted his head to look at her, "What?"

Josephine covered her mouth and laughed, "Never mind, I'll tell you later, I need to confirm something."

"Why do you always leave things half-said?" Stuart pulled her aside, "Be careful of the hot water."

When he put all the ingredients in and was seasoning, he said, "Is Laura in some kind of situation?"

Josephine played dumb, "What situation?"

"Steven said before that Laura was sleeping in a separate bed from him, then she went to Hustalia for good food, and now she wants to eat my cooking. Normally, Laura wouldn't make such a request, right? If she wants to eat something, she should ask her husband to make it, not her friend's husband."

Josephine glanced at him, "You're quite smart."

Stuart smiled without explaining.

Mainly because after Claudia got pregnant, he secretly researched a lot of information online behind Josephine's back.

Since they planned to have another girl, he definitely needed to do his homework.

But he didn't want Josephine to know, fearing it would put pressure on her.

They said they wanted another one, but when exactly was up to nature.

If they couldn't conceive, then they wouldn't.

So, in the early stages of pregnancy, some people felt nauseous, vomited, had mood swings, got easily upset, and had trouble sleeping.

In short, all kinds of discomfort.

Some people's tastes and preferences also changed.

Laura's situation really seemed like she was pregnant.

Both of them thought Steven would come along, but unexpectedly, only Laura came.

As soon as she came in, she didn't even have time to greet them, asking while changing her shoes, "Is it ready?"

Josephine took her bag with a smile, "Go wash your hands, you can eat after washing."

Laura cheered and went to the bathroom as if she knew the place well.

When she came out, she indeed saw Stuart standing by the dining table, serving her soup.

Laura quickly walked over, "Thank you, Mr. Haustia."

"You're welcome." Stuart served the soup and placed it on the table, "Ms. Collins, any other requests? Just soup? How about a stir-fry?"

Laura smiled sweetly, "No need, this is already a lot of trouble for you."

"Alright, you two, stop with the formalities." Josephine sat down next to Laura. "Eat up."

Laura blew on the soup, took a sip, and closed her eyes in satisfaction. "Wow! This is the taste!"

She had tried several restaurants outside, but none of them tasted quite right.

She didn't want to trouble Stuart.

But she couldn't stop thinking about this taste, so she finally called Josephine.

She felt that if she didn't get to eat it, she wouldn't be able to sleep tonight.

Stuart said, "Take your time."

He went to take a shower.

Laura waved her hand, too busy eating to talk.

Josephine propped her chin and watched her eat.

Laura didn't hold back in front of her, drinking one small bowl after another.

"You didn't have dinner, just drinking this?" Josephine asked, "Should I make you something else?"

"No, no," Laura said, "I'll just have this."

Then, Josephine watched as Laura drank bowl after bowl.

Stuart made a big pot, which the whole family usually couldn't finish.

Now Laura drank more than half of it by herself.

Finally, she put down the bowl and spoon, patted her stomach, and burped.

Josephine asked her, "Are you full?"

Laura nodded contentedly, "I'm full, I'm alive again!"

Josephine said, "Now that you're full, let's talk?"

Laura looked at her a bit embarrassed, "Okay, but promise you won't get mad."
