Chapter 566 Solved

The man looked at her and smiled, "Isadora, I know about your father's situation. Why don't you get in the car and come home with me? We can have a good talk."

Isadora had been rejected many times today, and this was the first time someone had shown a softer attitude.

She quickly said, "Okay, thank you!"

"Isadora!" Ulysses called out to her.

Isadora turned around, looking at him in disbelief, "You, why are you here?"

"What are you doing?" Ulysses walked over. "I need to talk to you."

"Talk? But I don't have time right now."

The man in the car grew impatient. "Are you coming or not?"

Isadora quickly said, "I'm coming!"

She was about to open the car door and get in, but she didn't forget to look back at Ulysses, "I'll contact you later!"

However, before she could open the car door, Ulysses grabbed her and pulled her away. He then said to the man in the car, "No need, thank you. You can go now."

Isadora was anxious, "Ulysses, don't mess things up!"

The man didn't want to give up this opportunity and looked at Isadora, "Are you getting in or not? This is your last chance. If you don't, we won't discuss your family's matter."

"I'm getting in!"

"No, you're not!" Ulysses firmly pulled Isadora behind him and said to the man, "No need, goodbye!"

After saying that, he turned around and walked away with Isadora.

Isadora was anxious, "Ulysses! Ulysses!"

But it was too late. By the time she looked back, the car had already driven away.

Isadora was furious and shook off Ulysses' hand. "What are you doing?"

"What am I doing? Couldn't you tell what that man meant?"

"Do you know what I was going to do?" Isadora's eyes turned red. "I needed to talk to him!"

"You needed his help, right?" Ulysses said, "It was obvious he had bad intentions towards you. How could you dare to go with him?"

"How could that be?" Isadora was surprised, "I've always seen him as an elder."

"You see him as an elder, but he doesn't necessarily see you as a junior," Ulysses said, "Trust me, as a man, I can tell what he was thinking just by looking at his eyes!"

Isadora wasn't stupid. Hearing Ulysses say this, she broke out in a cold sweat.

She had been too anxious at the time. Now that she thought about it, the man's gaze was indeed sticky, glued to her.

She felt a wave of fear and then a sense of frustration, "But that was my last chance."

"What happened?" Ulysses asked.

Isadora sat on a stone bench by the street. "It's about my family. Telling you won't help, you can't help me."

Ulysses said, "Tell me, maybe I can think of something."

Isadora felt like she was looking at Ulysses through rose-colored glasses.

She knew he couldn't help much, but she still told him.

She said, "My family's company is having financial problems. If we don't solve it, we'll go bankrupt."

"So you need money now, right?"

Isadora nodded, "We need a large investment."

Ulysses said, "Doesn't your family own a mine?"

"My dad invested in other businesses," Isadora sighed, "If we can't cover this, we'll lose the mine too."

Ulysses sat down next to her and asked, "Didn't you bring your phone?"

Isadora said, "It's out of battery."

She had been out all day, and her phone had long run out of battery.

"Why didn't you tell me when something happened?"

Isadora glanced at him and muttered, "What's the use of telling you?"

"True," Ulysses said, "I don't have money."

Isadora quickly said, "That's not what I meant."

"I know," Ulysses said, "If... I'm just saying if, if your family really gets into trouble, would you still pursue me?"

Isadora never expected that at this moment, Ulysses was still thinking about this.

She said, "I haven't thought about it."

"Then think about it now."

"Ulysses!" Isadora shouted at him, "My family is in trouble, and you want me to think about this now! How can you be so annoying!"

Ulysses said, "If this makes you hate me, then that's not so bad."

Isadora's eyes turned even redder, and she got up to leave.

Ulysses grabbed her wrist. "You haven't answered my question."

Isadora angrily said, "I won't pursue you anymore! My family is going bankrupt, how can I have the mood for romance? I can't afford to pursue you, okay!"

"Okay," Ulysses said, "But promise me, don't go off on your own. Otherwise, you'll worry your parents. If something happens, you'll regret it for the rest of your life."

"None of your business!"

"If you don't promise, I won't let you go."

Isadora knew he was looking out for her.

She could only say, "I know, let go!"

Ulysses let go and said to her, "Many men are despicable. You must be careful. Go home and talk to your parents. This is an adult matter, don't get involved."

"I'm already an adult!"

"But in this matter, you can't help," Ulysses said harshly, "If you get hurt, it will only make your parents suffer more."

Isadora didn't say anything.

Ulysses continued, "Go home and get a good night's sleep. Maybe everything will be better tomorrow."

Isadora smiled bitterly, "How is that possible?"

"Be good, go home."

Isadora had been scared just now. She had been too anxious before. Now that she thought about it, how could someone be so kind as to invest in her family?

When she got home, Zander and Delphine were indeed very worried. Isadora comforted them and went back to her room.

After charging her phone, she found many people had tried to contact her.

Ulysses had sent many messages and made several calls.

Isadora replied to Ulysses: [Thank you.]

Ulysses was on the phone, "Uncle Stuart, I need a favor."

It was the first time Ulysses had said something like this.

Stuart quickly said, "Ulysses, what is it? Tell me."

Ulysses mentioned Isadora's father's name and asked, "Uncle Stuart, do you know this person?"

Stuart said, "I've heard of him. Why?"

"See if you can help him. His company is in trouble and needs funds, or it will go bankrupt."

Stuart was puzzled, "Why do you want to help him, Ulysses? Do you know him?"

"He's my friend's father," Ulysses said, "It's okay if you can't help."

"Your friend's father? Of course, I'll help," Stuart laughed, "Don't worry, I'll look into it and get back to you later, okay?"

"No rush."

This was the first time Ulysses had asked him for a favor, so Stuart immediately took action.

Ulysses didn't call Josephine but directly called him, making Stuart feel that Ulysses really saw him as family.

So he would definitely do a good job.

Soon, there was news.

Stuart found out that Isadora's father had always been honest in business. The current problem was because he had been deceived.

He took care of the matter and called Ulysses back, "Ulysses, it's done. Your friend's company won't go bankrupt, and they'll even collaborate with us in the future."
