Chapter 106 How Does It Feel
The moving party lasted for an hour before it ended. Noah collected the money everyone owed him before allowing them to leave. The bus that they had come in was at the entrance of the villa. Everyone walked toward it.
"Miss Isabella!" Evelyn called out to Isabella and hesitated for a moment before saying, "Um... I really like the owner of the Rolls-Royce. Since you're his girlfriend, can you show me a picture of him? I really want to meet him!"
"I’m sorry, I can't do that," Isabella refused. Although she had secretly taken photos of Noah on her phone, she couldn't give them to Evelyn without Noah's consent.
"Just one picture, I want to see what my Prince Charming looks like," Evelyn pleaded.
"I said I can't, I really can't," Isabella said. "Besides, the owner of the Rolls-Royce only likes me, it's impossible for him to fall in love with you!"
Noah, who overheard this, almost choked. That girl was a heartbreaker!
Sure enough, Evelyn turned pale and almost lost her balance.
"Fine!" She looked disappointed and boarded the bus.
"Noah, I'm leaving too!" Isabella turned back and winked at Noah playfully.
Lisa happened to see this as well, and she immediately looked displeased and gave Noah a glare.
Noah had a feeling that Lisa would be asking him questions again later.
After everyone got on the bus, it drove away from Golden Summit Peak.
Inside the bus.
"Daniel, do you think Noah, that loser, bought that villa?" Zoe suddenly had a thought.
"Are you kidding me?" Daniel shook his head. "That villa costs 87 million, how could that loser Noah afford it?"
"With the renovation, the villa's estimated price would be around 100 million." Larry stroked his chin.
"100 million?!" Sarah's face changed slightly, and she sneered. "Impossible. If Noah, that loser, had so much money, we'd mock him every day. He would have divorced Lisa long ago and married someone else!"
Daniel nodded. "What Sarah says makes sense. So Noah Capital probably gave that villa to Lisa, after all, she’s the head of the billion-dollar project in the slums. Since Lisa’s the CEO, she definitely needs to live well to have the energy to work.
"There are rumors going around these days that the mysterious wealthy person who bought that villa in the live auction of Summit Retreat Oasis is Rodney, one of the core executives of Noah Capital. Clearly, Rodney bought this villa for Lisa, the CEO.
"But Noah really got a lot of attention today. He can boast about Donovan's shabby chessboard for a lifetime!
"He loves to brag, you'll see. Every time he meets someone, he'll say that Donovan from Starlight City gave him a chessboard!"
Suddenly, a look of anticipation appeared on Daniel's face.
"You all know, my biggest wish in life is to live on Golden Summit Peak. Now that Lisa has a villa on Golden Summit Peak, I’ve decided to move there tomorrow and experience what it feels like to be on Golden Summit Peak."
Larry and the others were not surprised when they heard that.
...
After dinner in the evening.
Noah and Lisa held hands and took a walk on Golden Summit Peak.
The sunset dyed the sky blood red. The evening breeze blew, pleasantly cool, and the gurgling sound of clear springs flowed around them, making them feel relaxed and joyful.
"How does it feel walk here?" Noah asked with a smile.
"It feels great, of course!"
Lisa linked her arm with Noah's. Her beautiful face was filled with a look of happiness.
"I never thought that I would be able to live in Summit Retreat Oasis in my lifetime. I always thought you were bragging when you said you bought a house on Golden Summit Peak!"
"Your husband never brags." Noah touched Lisa's nose.
"By the way, honey, do you know Isabella? I feel like there's something off about the way she looks at you. It's like she's jealous." Lisa suddenly furrowed her eyebrows and seemed jealous.
Well, it was bound to happen!
Noah smiled helplessly and said, "Yes, I know her because I know the owner of the Rolls-Royce."
"How did you two meet?"
Lisa’s eyes widened, surprised that Noah had been hiding this from her.
"It was that day at Carney Mall. I happened to meet him when I was taking a stroll alone," Noah said.
"We exchanged contact information later. I didn't expect him to be pretty nice. He gave us a gift when we moved into the new house. But he's too busy, so he had his girlfriend come instead!"
"I see!"
Lisa suddenly realized, "So, was it really you who saved Evelyn that night?"
"Well... you could say that!"
Noah thought for a moment and said, "I called the owner of the Rolls-Royce to ask for help."
"No wonder! I was wondering why Evelyn said the owner of Rolls-Royce saved her. It turns out you made the call!" Lisa giggled, everything made sense now.
"But if you hadn’t made the call to the owner of Rolls-Royce, Evelyn would still be in danger. So, ultimately, you saved Evelyn."
Noah nodded.
"By the way, I have another question."
Lisa asked curiously, "I didn't tell Max about our new house, so why did he come and bring such a valuable gift like the golden bull?"
In Lisa's opinion, that gift was unnecessary.
And she didn’t think that Max had come to give them a gift just because she was the head of the poverty-stricken district.
"It was... to please you as the head of the poverty-stricken district!" Noah laughed.
"Now that he’s pleased you, he can buy countless luxury goods with the money he earns from the poverty-stricken district! As for the source of the information, perhaps it was leaked, which was how Max found out."
"That's probably it."
Lisa thought for a moment and asked again, "What about Mason? Why did he give us a gift? which is even more valuable than luxury goods!"
"I told Mason about it, after all, we know each other, so I asked him to come. As for his expensive gift, who knows if it's sandalwood or not, maybe Mason is just bragging!" Noah laughed.
"True, he's probably just bragging!"
Lisa nodded. "That kind of gift is extremely precious and priceless. Although Mason knows us, he wouldn't give such an expensive gift.
"I still have one last question. James said that Donovan is a big shot on the list of richest people. Why would someone like that, who’s the cream of the crop in Eagleland, come to give us a gift? It's totally unnecessary!"
Lisa still felt that the gifts from the big shots had nothing to do with her.
"You don't know about that. Donovan lives in Golden Summit Peak too. We played chess a few days ago. Since we’re neighbors, it's normal for him to bring something when we move in, right?" Noah smiled.
"And you see, the gift he gave wasn't expensive at all, it was just a chessboard worth a little over ten dollars!"
"So he's our neighbor! I see now!" Lisa understood. "Then I have no more questions."
Noah breathed a sigh of relief. He had finally resolved everything.
He only wanted to live a normal life with Lisa, so it would be better to keep some things hidden.
After their walk, Noah and Lisa went home to sleep.
