Chapter 29 Promotion and Salary Increase
Lisa was infuriated by the way those executives treated Noah.
"Noah, let's go!"
She grabbed Noah's arm and left the private room.
"Wow, Lisa looks really angry!" someone said.
"But Ms. Crowe didn't say anything wrong. Noah is an outsider!" a woman said with a slight frown.
"We've already let him eat for free here. What else does he want? This meal isn't cheap, okay?" a man snorted.
The executives were discussing among themselves as they watched Noah and Lisa leave.
In the car, Lisa pouted with anger. She snorted, "How could they do that? I know Joshua has made considerable contributions to the company, but how could he say that to you?"
Suddenly, she noticed Noah was staring at her. "What? Why are you looking at me like that?"
"You look pretty cute when you're angry," Noah chuckled.
"Excuse me? I'm sticking up for you, okay? Can't believe you can still laugh after all this!"
Lisa punched Noah lightly.
"All right, all right. Don't be angry. There's no need to get upset. It's not a big thing," Noah comforted her, seemingly unconcerned about what had just happened.
After dropping Lisa off at home to cool down, Noah drove alone to Fortune Plaza Building No. 1.
This building was the financial center of Oceanbridge City, and seven out of ten companies inside were listed on the stock exchange. Those able to set up offices in this building must have very deep foundations.
On the top floor, Noah stood at the window with hands behind his back, Silent, he looked down at the bustling streets below with a solemn expression.
"Mr. Anderson!"
The office door opened, and a man walked in. It was Samuel Napier.
He had a square face and deep eyes and was dressed in a tailored silk suit, exuding a commanding presence that demanded respect.
Upon entering, Samuel saw Noah standing at the window with his hands behind his back.
"Mr. Anderson!"
Samuel immediately bowed his head. He greeted Noah with a serious voice, showing utmost respect.
"Mr. Napier." Noah turned his head and looked at him.
But Samuel shuddered and hastily said, "Please, Mr. Anderson, just call me Samuel."
Samuel was the regional president of Noah Capital in the Eagleland district. His status was not inferior to John, who was at the Family Financial Management Center.
"Mr. Anderson, the acquisition contract for Pinnacle Wealth Management has been signed. All procedures will be completed within three days, and Pinnacle Wealth Management will then become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Noah Capital," Samuel reported, knowing full well the reason for Noah's visit.
Noah nodded. "There's an employee named Lisa inside Pinnacle Wealth Management. Find a good time, and give her a promotion and pay raise."
"Yes, Mr. Anderson." Samuel didn't ask why, simply nodding in agreement.

The next day, Noah gave his car to Lisa, while he took a taxi to MedicaVibe Ventures as usual.
Just reaching the office, Noah heard his colleagues discussing excitedly.
"Did you hear that? The owner of that Rolls-Royce has been spotted again," a young woman whispered excitedly.
"I saw it on the short video clips yesterday. He's really trending!" her colleague nodded.
"He was playing the guitar in the Carini Mall!" another young woman said.
"He played so well!" the first young woman remarked in admiration.
Mia was also part of the discussion.
She said with her face full of excitement, "I never expected the owner of the Rolls-Royce could play guitar. He's both rich and talented!
"When I heard his rendition of 'Dream Wedding', I really felt like I was getting married, and the groom was the owner of the Rolls-Royce! Oh, my!"
Mia closed her eyes, full of longing, imagining a wedding with the owner of the Rolls-Royce.
"Noah's here!"
Someone noticed Noah coming in.
"Noah, it's Monday, and you're not late for work. Looks like you took that Mazda!" Mia teased.
Noah couldn't be bothered. He hadn't even touched the key to that Mazda.
After the morning meeting, Mia found Noah. She tasked him with ensuring the Royalty Hospital market was well maintained and guaranteeing smooth sales of the manufactured medical equipment.
Noah nodded.
After assigning this task, Mia headed to Michael's office.
"Michael, I've handed over everything regarding Royalty Hospital's market to Noah," Mia reported as soon as she entered.
"Good!"
Michael nodded. "Royalty Hospital is like a juicy piece of meat in the market. If Noah can manage this right, our company can claim to have made a name in the medical equipment sector!"
"You're trusting such an important market to Noah?" Mia suddenly hesitated.
Michael chuckled slyly, "Well, don't worry. I got this. If he can actually devour this piece of meat, his commission might reach thousands. But when he's eagerly waiting for his salary, I'll just find an excuse to fire him, and he won't get a single penny.
"But if he can't manage it, we can just dismiss him with rightful reasons. Anyway, I have my dad, and this market of Royalty Hospital isn't really that important to us!"
Mia nodded, thinking, 'Either way, Noah's fate is doomed to be miserable.'

After taking the task from Mia, Noah immediately messaged Robert to communicate all the requirements, saving himself the trouble of running around the market.
Coming home from work in the evening, Noah saw an extra person at home.
"Dad, what brings you here?" Noah was a little surprised and quickly poured a cup of warm water for Daniel.
Daniel was sitting on the sofa watching TV.
"I came to see my daughter. Is there a problem?" Daniel didn't even look at Noah.
"Of course not," Noah smiled.
Before long, Lisa also came home from work.
"Noah, go away. I wanna speak with my daughter," Daniel said directly.
"Sure, Dad."
Noah didn't ask and went to his room directly.
"Sweetie, Larry called and told me you bought a car, huh?" Daniel pulled Lisa to sit down.
"Yes." Lisa nodded, not surprised. After all, such a purchase couldn't be concealed.
"Larry said it was even a Mercedes. Take me to have a look!" Daniel said.
"Okay!"
Lisa led Daniel downstairs.
"Wow, this car is beautiful and sleek!" Daniel looked at the Mercedes and couldn't stop praising it.
"Lisa, this must've cost you quite a bit!" he said.
"Not really." Lisa shook her head. "It was Noah who bought it."
"Noah? That pauper?" Daniel's eyes widened in disbelief. "Lisa, we're family, so no lies between us, okay? I know Noah is poor. How could he afford a Mercedes? He'd be lucky to buy a hubcap!"
