Chapter 353 Reappointed to Teach
"Don't we students have a right to speak up?" Genevieve's face turned icy.
She didn't want Noah to get expelled. First off, Noah's guitar skills were top-notch, good enough to teach. Second, she had feelings for him and couldn't stand the thought of him leaving.
"If we don't have a say, then we sure as hell have the right to drop out!" Genevieve declared.
"Drop out?" Francis and Kurt were taken aback.
"Genevieve, I'm warning you, if you drop out, we won't refund your tuition. Think this through carefully!" Kurt said.
"There's nothing to think about. If Mr. Anderson isn't here, I don't want to study here either. As for the tuition, my family doesn't care about that money," Genevieve said coolly.
"I'm dropping out too!"
"If Mr. Anderson is expelled, I don't want to learn guitar anymore!"
"Not only am I dropping out, but I'm also going to tell everyone that Punk Guitar doesn't respect talent!"
"Mr. Anderson is a level ten guitarist, and you still expelled him. Your leadership's decision-making is seriously flawed!"
The students spoke up one after another, their voices filled with righteous indignation.
Francis and the others were dumbfounded. If these students really dropped out, the financial loss was one thing, but the negative impact on Punk Guitar's future development could even lead to its closure. This was serious.
"Do we really have to ask Noah to come back?" Francis hesitated. Earlier, he saw Noah driving a GMC worth over a million dollars, which made it clear that Noah wasn't someone who would skip out on a bill, so there was no moral issue.
But asking Noah to come back was a blow to Francis's pride, as he was the boss and the one who had decided to expel Noah. Yet, if he didn't ask Noah back, the students would drop out. Francis's face was filled with conflict.
At the Ancient Style and Charm training center, Gabriel had just made a call, and within ten minutes, a middle-aged man came running over, sweating profusely.
"Mr. Anderson! Where's Mr. Anderson?" The man's voice arrived before he did. He was dressed in a suit and appeared to be in his forties. This was Finnegan.
"Mr. Moore, we're here!" Gabriel called out, forcing a smile.
Finnegan didn't even glance at Gabriel. He rushed into Ancient Style and Charm, his eyes scanning the room until they landed on Noah. Immediately, he spoke with respect, "Mr. Anderson, I'm sorry I'm late! Please don't hold it against me!"
Seeing this, Gabriel's eyelid twitched. It seemed he hadn't been wrong; this young man had an extraordinary background.
"No problem." Noah waved it off, unconcerned. "Are you with the Moore family?"
"Yes!" Finnegan bowed his head. "But I'm just a branch member, leveraging the family's influence to do some real estate business here in Silverlight City."
Noah nodded, clasping his hands behind his back as he walked out of Ancient Style and Charm. Clementine quickly followed. Finnegan's eyes flashed, and he followed behind Noah as well.
"Gabriel called you Mr. Moore. Do you have any business dealings with him?" Noah asked.
"Not exactly," Finnegan smiled. "I bought all the shops on the fourth floor of this mall and rented them out. I'm basically a landlord. Most of the tenants on the fourth floor are training centers, so I know them all."
"I get it." Noah nodded.
Before they knew it, the three of them had arrived at the entrance of Punk Guitar.
"Noah?" Kurt's eyes narrowed as he spotted him. "You got some nerve coming back here. Weren't you already expelled? Here to pick up your last paycheck?"
"Noah." Audrey and the others looked at him with mixed emotions. To them, Noah was their prince charming, and seeing him now stirred up a lot of feelings.
"Noah!" Genevieve ran over quickly. "I heard you got expelled. If you're gone, I don't want to learn guitar here either! So I'm leading the students to drop out together!"
Noah looked at the dozen or so students, slightly surprised. He hadn't expected Genevieve to cause such a scene. It seemed the other students were influenced by her to drop out as well.
Francis looked at Noah, silent for a moment, then gritted his teeth and stepped forward. "Noah, I may have spoken harshly in the meeting room earlier. I apologize. Also, I'm rescinding the decision to expel you. I hope you'll come back to teach here."
Francis's eyes were sincere. He had his reasons for wanting Noah back. First, if Noah left, the students would drop out, which would have a significant impact. Second, Noah driving a GMC suggested he wasn't someone with moral issues.
"Mr. Vasquez! How can you let him come back to teach?" Kurt was anxious. "You already expelled him! What's said is said!"
Kurt didn't want Noah to come back as a teacher. Plus, Noah driving a GMC worth over a million dollars was far better than his BMW 3 Series. If Noah returned, Audrey and the other female teachers would definitely flock to him. Kurt didn't want to see that.
"Mr. Anderson, did these people offend you?" Finnegan's eyes flashed as he spoke.
"Who are you?" Kurt looked at Finnegan impatiently. "This is Punk Guitar's business. Why are you meddling?"
Seeing Finnegan, Francis's mouth opened in surprise. "Mr. Moore."
Francis was confused. Why was Finnegan following Noah and acting so respectul? Did Noah have some other identity besides driving a GMC?
"Mr. Vasquez, you called him Mr. Moore. Who is he?" Kurt was curious and clueless.
"He is the landlord of the fourth floor of Silverline Square. Our Punk Guitar's store is rented from him," Francis said seriously.
"The landlord!" Kurt was stunned. That meant all the shops on the fourth floor were his? Such a person was worth nearly a billion! Why was he following Noah and being so respectful?
"Let's end this matter here," Noah suddenly said, clasping his hands behind his back as he walked towards the escalator. He really didn't want to waste his energy on such trivial matters.
Timothy had already sent him a Facebook message saying the team sent to develop Evergreen Market had arrived at the Qinhuai Highway toll station, and Noah needed to pick them up.
"Noah, what about coming back to teach?" Francis called after him.
"I'll be back to work tomorrow," Noah's calm voice floated back.
——
"Finnegan, you can go back too. If I need your help in the future, I'll contact you," Noah said in the parking lot.
"Yes! Anything you want, Mr. Anderson!" Finnegan said seriously.
Noah nodded, started his car, and, not wanting to keep people waiting, took Clementine with him to the highway toll station.
