Chapter 384 Co-renting

With these thoughts swirling in his mind, Daniel got into the car. Following Noah's GMC, they soon arrived at the Hilton.

"We've arrived," Noah said as he unloaded Lisa's luggage from the trunk.

"The Hilton, a five-star hotel!" Daniel exclaimed as he stepped out of the car, glancing at the hotel before turning his gaze to Noah. "Noah, you're living it up in Silverlight City, staying at a five-star hotel. A room here must cost, what, seven or eight hundred bucks a night?"

"Lisa's busting her tail back home, and you're living it up in a hotel every day. I hope Lisa isn't footing the bill for this!" Daniel's eyes glinted with sarcasm.

Noah ignored Daniel and walked into the hotel with Lisa. Feeling a bit awkward after being brushed off, Daniel had no choice but to follow them upstairs.

The door to the presidential suite opened, and Noah and Lisa stepped inside.

"Honey, let's just drop the bags for now. We'll move out later," Noah said with a smile.

"Wow, this is the presidential suite, right? The decor is amazing!" Lisa was stunned as she looked around the room, which was lavishly decorated and equipped with a conference room, office, living room, and kitchen—just like a home.

"Yep, it's the presidential suite," Noah confirmed.

"Noah, you're actually staying in the presidential suite!" Daniel was dumbfounded. He had assumed Noah was staying in a regular room costing a few hundred dollars a night, but to his surprise, Noah was in the presidential suite!

'How on earth does this guy afford a presidential suite? It must cost over ten grand a night!' Daniel thought, eyeing Noah with disbelief. Clearly, Lisa wasn't paying for this, or she wouldn't be so surprised.

Despite his curiosity, Daniel couldn't bring himself to ask, so he sat on the couch instead.

"What's this?" Daniel noticed a camera on the table. It was the one Clementine used for her live streams. Clementine and Luna were out doing an outdoor stream, while Aurelia was busy with Evergreen Market.

Daniel also noticed some clothes hanging on the balcony—women's clothes.

"Noah, I thought you were rich enough to stay in a presidential suite! Turns out you're sharing it with others!" Daniel realized the clothes were different styles, indicating they belonged to several people.

"You just can't resist showing off, can you?" Daniel sneered at Noah. "You think having a bit of money makes you high society? You'll blow through it all soon enough!"

"That's my business, not yours," Noah shot back with a glance.

"What? I'm your father-in-law; I have every right to be concerned!" Daniel slammed the table, his eyes wide with indignation.

"Honey, how much does this presidential suite cost per month?" Lisa quickly interjected, sensing a brewing argument. She assumed Noah was sharing the suite, so she asked about the monthly cost.

"Over half a million dollars," Noah replied casually.

"Over half a million! That's a lot!" Lisa's jaw dropped.

"Lisa, don't be so shocked! Noah's probably talking about the monthly rate, not the rent!" Daniel said. "The rent's probably just a few thousand a month. Noah's probably just renting a small room and can't access the rest of the suite!"

Lisa's eyes flickered, but she said nothing more.

"Order a coffee!" Daniel spotted a phone nearby and immediately called for a coffee.

"Now that you're here, I won't stay here anymore. Once we pack up, we'll move out," Noah said to Lisa with a smile.

"Move out?" Lisa was taken aback. "Where to? I'm only in Silverlight City for a few days before I have to go back to work. There's no need to move out. I don't mind sharing with others; a little crowding is fine as long as I'm with you."

"It won't cost much," Noah reassured her with a smile.

"Alright then," Lisa agreed, blushing slightly when she thought of their noise at night.

About half an hour later, Daniel received a call from Larry, saying he was coming to pick him up. Daniel quickly gave him the room number.

Ten minutes later, there was a knock at the door. Lisa went to open it.

Larry and Sarah stood outside, both taken aback by the room's opulent decor.

"Noah can't possibly be staying in this presidential suite, can he?" Sarah said, her eyes filled with envy. Compared to this, the modest motel they had been staying in was a dump.

"Noah's probably got connections with Bodhi, so staying in a presidential suite makes sense," Larry whispered to Sarah. "After all, Bodhi is a billionaire who can drop nine billion dollars just like that!"

Sarah nodded.

"Hey, Sarah, Larry, come on in!" Lisa greeted them with a smile. "It's a bit cramped, so don't mind the space."

Lisa assumed Noah was sharing the suite, so she thought the other rooms belonged to others, making the place seem small.

"Lisa, I didn't know you could be so sarcastic, saying the place is small!" Sarah rolled her eyes. "I'm just here to pick up Dad. Once we have him, we're leaving!"

She glanced over and saw Daniel sitting on the couch. "Dad, let's go!"

"Alright, alright, let me finish my coffee first!" Daniel downed his coffee in one gulp, reluctantly heading for the door. It was his first time in a presidential suite, and he hadn't had enough of it yet.

But knowing Noah was sharing it, he felt a mix of disdain and reluctance as he left with Sarah and Larry.

"Sarah, Larry, have some water before you go!" Lisa called after them.

"We can't afford your husband Noah's water. He's with Bodhi now, and we're not in the same league!" Sarah's voice dripped with sarcasm as she left.

"What does she mean?" Lisa asked, puzzled.

"Honey, let's go!" Noah said, emerging from the room with their packed luggage.

"Where to?" Lisa asked curiously.

"To buy a house."

"Buy a house?" Lisa's mouth fell open, thinking she must have misheard. "Why buy a house, honey?"

"This place is too cramped. Didn't I say we were moving out? We can't move out without buying a house first," Noah said earnestly.
