Chapter 12 Oasis Luxury Hotel
"What?"
Noah was stunned and thought, 'She was so friendly to me before she stepped out. What happened? Now she seems like a different person.'
"Stand up! You don't get to sit there!" Mia said harshly.
"And don't forget to throw away that glass you used! Are you expecting anyone to use it after you? That's disgusting!"
Still confused, Noah stood up and tossed the glass into the trash.
"Done filling out?" Mia sat across from Noah, her tone impatient.
She was very annoyed.
She thought, 'Mr. Mill wanted Noah, and I thought it was because Noah was close to Mr. Mill. Perhaps they were relatives.
'Who knows? I went to Mr. Mill's office only to find out Noah was his rival in love!
'What was I thinking? I buttered Noah up and even thought about sleeping with him!
'I saw his clothes! He's just a poor loser who doesn't have any money at all!'
"Yeah." Noah handed the filled-out file to Mia.
"OK. You may start working in the Marketing Department tomorrow. Your base salary is 300 dollars, attendance bonus is 50 dollars, meal allowance is 25 dollars, and there'll be commission." Mia threw the file onto the desk, not bothering to look at all.
"Alright." Although Noah was somewhat annoyed by Mia's attitude, he was still in a good mood. After all, now he had a job.
He figured that Lisa would be happy, too, when she learned the news.
"All done. You may leave. Don't be late tomorrow," Mia said coldly.
"OK." Noah left the office.
5 minutes later, the office door opened, and a man walked in.
The man was handsome in a suit, tall and beefy. It was Michael.
"Mr. Mill..." Upon seeing him, Mia was delighted. Her eyes brightened, and she approached him, saying with a coquettish voice.
"You're so bad. You deliberately messed with me, right? Why didn't you tell me in advance? I had no idea Noah was your rival in love!"
"He doesn't get to be my rival in love," Michael said.
Hearing that, Mia continued, "You're right. I knew at first glance that Noah was just a poor loser. Guys like him don't even get to be your lackey!"
Michael nodded. "He was just lucky to marry Lisa."
At the thought of that, he went furious again. "What did he say?"
Mia smiled fawningly, "Relax, Mr. Mill. Noah has the audacity to come here to work. He's digging his own grave. I assure you that he's gonna suffer!"
"Great." Michael nodded again.

After leaving the company, Noah was about to take a taxi home to wait for the start of work tomorrow.
At the next moment, his phone rang. It was Xavier.
"Hello, Xavier."
"Got a minute, Mr. Anderson?" Xavier asked.
"What's up?" Noah said.
"Well, sorry to bother you, but John would like to invite you to dinner. He wanna meet you in person," Xavier said.
Then he went on explaining, "John said that now that you're no longer restricted by the family, it would be rude for him not to meet you, as he was the center's manager. Of course, if you're busy, then never mind. He can wait. Whenever it suits you, Mr. Anderson."
"I've got some time now."
After pondering, Noah said. Since he was no longer restricted, it was time to meet those related to the family.
"Great. I will let John know. He has already had the food ready at the Golden Frontier Room of Oasis Luxury Hotel, and you may go over now."
"OK."
After hanging up, Noah hailed a taxi to Oasis Luxury Hotel.
"Young man, you have a bright future ahead of you!"
Hearing Noah was headed for Oasis Luxury Hotel, the taxi driver praised, "At such a young age, you've managed to work there. How envious!"
Oasis Luxury Hotel was one of the top hotels in Oceanbridge City, catering to high-class clientele. A meal there cost at least 10 thousand dollars.
Noah was so young and dressed plainly. Given that, the taxi driver figured that the only reason Noah was going to Oasis Luxury Hotel was because he worked there.
"I hear even the waiters there earn around 1,300 dollars a month. Taxi drivers like me will never earn that much."
The taxi driver looked at Noah and said earnestly, "Young man, it's a blessing working at Oasis Luxury Hotel. Cherish it."
Noah smiled, not saying anything.
Half an hour later, the taxi driver stopped outside Oasis Luxury Hotel.
Noah got out and walked in.
Oasis Luxury Hotel was decorated in a classical style, and it was equipped with streams, rockeries, and gardens, and birdsong could be heard from time to time.
The hotel was located next to Oasis Luxury Lake in Oceanbridge City. The air here was fresh, the scenery was beautiful, and guests got to enjoy the Oasis Luxury Lake's scenery while dining. In fact, most guests were at the top of the society.
"The Golden Frontier Room..."
Noah wandered around the hotel and was a bit lost. Given how big the hotel was, he failed to find where the room was after a long time. So, he decided to ask someone.
Just then, a young girl came over.
She was beautiful and tall, wearing a white fitted T-shirt that showed off her delicate belly button, radiating with youthful vigor. Meanwhile, the short jeans she was wearing revealed her fair, smooth thighs perfectly.
Her dark, wavy hair was scattered at the back of her head, and her face was delicate and fair. From time to time, a playful look could be seen in her eyes. It seemed that she was in her early twenties.
"Hello. Can you tell me where the Golden Frontier Room is?" Noah approached and asked with a smile.
He had to admit that she looked both charming and youthful.
She was lively, cute, and a bit mischievous...
"You're going to the Golden Frontier Room?"
The girl widened her eyes, a bit surprised. "Why? Do you work here? No way. If so, you should know where it is."
She blinked, baffled.
"I'm there to eat. Problems?" Noah asked.
"Seriously?"
After being stunned for a second, the girl laughed out loud, saying, "Come on. Be serious. You? Eat at the Golden Frontier Room? To tell you the truth, I know everyone eating there today, and you're not one of them. If you're gonna lie, at least be professional, OK?
"Besides, don't blame me for judging you. Look at what you're wearing. A single meal there would cost a few months of your salary. Are you really telling me that you're gonna eat there? Do you have that kind of money?"
Sighing, Noah shook his head helplessly. He thought, 'Since when are clothes a sign that someone is rich or not?'
Meanwhile, the girl said, "Enough. Stop wasting my time. I'm leaving."
She said quickly and then was about to leave. Unluckily, she moved too fast, and the hotel pathways were strewn with stones, causing her to trip over one.
She let out a cry and fell into Noah's arms.
