Chapter 367 Dreamland Ice Rink
Noah was not sure if Lisa was swamped with work. If she'd got some free time, it'd be great to have her join them for a little reunion. But if she was buried in work, he'd just have a word with Samuel, and he'd ease up on her workload.
'Maybe I should take some time off in the next few days and bring Lisa over,' Noah thought to himself. Then he asked, "So, Luna, what brings you to Silverlight City this time?"
"Streaming!" Luna replied with a grin. "I used to do indoor streams, but my fans got bored, so I switched to outdoor streaming. And guess what? It's been going pretty well. I'm now one of the top three outdoor streamers on Facebook Live."
Hearing this, Noah remembered that Luna was also a streamer on Facebook Live.
"I get millions of viewers every day. Only the big streamer, The Cool, can top me!" Luna said proudly. "But I've explored every corner of Oceanbridge City, and there's nowhere left for outdoor streaming. So I decided to come to Silverlight City, especially since you're here."
"How's your income now?" Noah asked again.
"It's alright. This month's earnings are over two hundred thousand dollars," Luna said. "But it's nothing compared to you. My monthly income isn't even enough to cover your hotel room."
Luna had only been on Facebook Live for a little over a month.
Noah chuckled. "I live in such a nice place because it brings me value, far beyond the rent. By the way, how's Facebook Live doing lately?"
Noah wanted to hear a streamer's perspective on Facebook Live. The information he usually got was from the management, and some of them might only report the good news.
"It's doing great. Facebook Live is still growing rapidly, thanks to a wealthy and mysterious owner. And recently, they brought in a new influencer named Clementine, which boosted the influence significantly!" Luna said seriously. "I've watched Clementine's streams. She's beautiful and dances classical dance very well. I even consider her my idol!"
Noah nodded and didn't say more as they arrived at the presidential suite.
"No wonder it's called a presidential suite. It's huge! It feels like your villa!" Luna exclaimed as she looked around the room. Suddenly, she noticed a girl dancing classical dance by the window in the living room.
The girl had a pink mole on her forehead, looking like a figure from a painting. Her dance was elegant and captivating.
"Clementine!" Luna was stunned. She couldn't believe she had run into her idol, Clementine, here.
"Mr. Anderson!" Clementine stopped dancing as soon as she saw Noah enter. She smiled at him and then looked at Luna.
This girl looked familiar. Then Clementine remembered that she was also on Facebook Live, with the ID [Pure White,] and was quite a popular streamer.
Since Noah was the owner of Facebook Live, it wasn't surprising that Luna was here, Clementine thought.
"Noah! Are you hiding a beauty here?" Luna teased. "Why is Clementine here? It looks like she's living with you!"
Noah rubbed his nose. "I'm not hiding anyone. Clementine is just working here! Don't get any wrong ideas!"
Although Noah had a clear conscience, he was still worried that if Lisa heard about this, she might overthink it, and it would be hard to explain.
"I get it!" Luna nodded. She trusted Noah's character.
"Clementine, let me introduce you. This is my sister-in-law, Luna," Noah said with a smile.
"Sister-in-law?" Clementine's heart skipped a beat. So Noah was married?
"This is Clementine. No need for further introduction, right?" Noah said to Luna.
"Of course not. Clementine is my idol!" Luna giggled and immediately started chatting with Clementine enthusiastically.
Although Clementine was a bit reserved, Luna's enthusiasm made her open up, and they started talking about streaming.
They complained about rude comments from some viewers and discussed how much gifts some wealthy fans had sent. They were having a lively conversation.
Seeing this, Noah smiled. Clementine usually streamed alone, which could be lonely. Having Luna around could be a good distraction. After all, they were in the same industry.
Suddenly, Noah's phone rang. It was an unknown number, but Noah recognized it as the number of Parker, a small-time thug from the pool hall across from Silverlight City High School.
A few days ago, Noah had given him two hundred thousand dollars to contact Rooster. Noah figured there must be some news.
"Noah," Parker's voice came through the phone. "Rooster got back to me. He wants to meet at the Dreamland Ice Rink at seven tonight."
"Alright, I'll come find you beforehand," Noah replied.
"Okay!" Parker's voice sounded a bit nervous.
After hanging up, Noah told East and the others to get ready. At six in the evening, Noah drove with the four of them to Starlight Billiards Hall.
"Noah!" Parker greeted him as soon as they entered the pool hall, followed by three students in blue and white school uniforms with dyed hair.
"What did Rooster say?" Noah got straight to the point.
"Rooster wants me to bring some new recruits to meet him," Parker pointed to the three students behind him. "These three, according to Rooster's requirements, all come from wealthy families, with assets worth at least a million dollars."
Noah glanced at the three students, still puzzled as to why Rooster wanted wealthy students as recruits.
"Let's go now," Noah said.
"Alright!" Everyone got into Noah's car.
After about half an hour, the car stopped outside an ice rink.
Dreamland Ice Rink was located in a remote area of Silverlight City's Qixia District. There were no skyscrapers, just many old residential complexes from the last century, with peeling walls that looked quite rundown.
The ice rink was next to one of these residential complexes. At the entrance, a few thugs stood guard, watching the surroundings warily, as if keeping an eye out.
"You go in first. We'll follow behind," Noah instructed, telling East and the others to hold back for now. Their imposing figures and faintly intimidating presence would likely make Rooster suspicious if they all went in together.
"Got it." Parker looked around nervously. He knew he was betraying Rooster, but he had no choice. He had taken Noah's two hundred thousand dollars and had to deliver.
With that, Parker stepped inside. The three students, on the other hand, looked excited, their hearts racing.
They felt like they were about to meet some big shot, imagining themselves showing off to their classmates and impressing the pretty girls at school.
