Chapter 335 Please Teach Me!
Seeing that Tomas recognized him, Noah gave a slight smile, clasped his hands behind his back, and walked toward the elevator Tomas had come from.
Tomas's eyelid twitched, and he followed Noah respectfully and silently.
"What's going on?" Kurt, watching from the side, was stunned. "Is the owner of the Eyfel Hotel out of his mind? He didn't say a word and just followed Noah? What kind of game are these two playing?"
"I think Noah is probably afraid of losing face in front of everyone, so he wants to apologize to the owner in private." Audrey's eyes flashed. "He doesn't want us to see him being humiliated!"
The other female teachers all had mocking expressions.
Noah and Tomas entered the elevator, and the doors slowly closed.
"Mr. Anderson, my office is on the eighth floor," Tomas said respectfully, pressing the button.
"You've got a sharp eye, recognizing me right away," Noah said, looking at Tomas with some surprise.
"You're too kind, Mr. Anderson," Tomas replied respectfully. "Yesterday, the head of our family sent us information about your arrival in Silverlight City, including your photo. Your image is deeply imprinted in my mind, so recognizing you was only natural."
"Moreover, I had the honor of meeting your father, Mr. Larry Anderson, once. You bear quite a resemblance to him."
Noah nodded. Soon, they reached the eighth floor and entered Tomas's office.
The office was spacious, with bookshelves filled with books. A desk was placed in front of the shelves, giving the room a scholarly atmosphere.
Noah walked straight to the swivel chair and sat down, resting his chin on his right hand as he looked at Tomas. "Did Atticus tell you the purpose of my visit to Silverlight City?"
"Yes, Mr. Anderson," Tomas replied respectfully.
"Is there anything you can do to help me?" Noah asked again.
"Mr. Anderson, to be frank, I'm just a restaurant owner, and the Moore family's businesses in Silverlight City are similar," Tomas said with a forced smile. "We have large gyms, karaoke bars, financial companies, and so on. We can handle small families like the Jennings family because they don't dare to provoke us."
"But if you want to take on the Harris family or the Murphy family, it's very difficult."
Noah nodded, acknowledging that Tomas had a point. After all, Silverlight City was the Harris family's territory.
"How old are you?" Noah asked suddenly.
Tomas was taken aback, not understanding why Noah asked this question. He quickly replied, "Mr. Anderson, I'm seventy-three."
"Seventy-three, well past retirement age, yet Atticus has you managing the Eyfel Hotel. You must have some extraordinary qualities," Noah said with a smile.
"Not at all, it's just the family's kindness," Tomas said modestly. "The Moore family owes its current status to your father's support and my joint efforts with the head of the family. To be honest, I was Atticus's mentor. The Moore family's businesses in Silverlight City are generally under my management."
"A mentor! No wonder!" Noah suddenly understood. Tomas, at his age, should have been enjoying retirement, but he was still running a restaurant and overseeing the Moore family's businesses in Silverlight City, likely because of his mentor status.
Moreover, the books on the shelves, with signs of being read, indicated that Tomas was quite knowledgeable.
"Since you were Atticus's mentor, you must be very learned," Noah said, standing up and bowing respectfully to Tomas. "Please teach me how to achieve my goal in Silverlight City!"
Noah understood that although he was strong in many aspects compared to his peers, he was still far behind Tomas, who had decades of experience.
Dealing with the Murphy family and the Harris family was a challenge. Seeking Tomas's advice seemed the best approach.
"Mr. Anderson, you're overestimating me!" Tomas's expression changed, and he quickly helped Noah up. "How can an old man like me accept such a great gesture from you?"
"Besides, our family in the eastern part of Eagleland owes its current status to your family. Your problem is my problem, and I will do my best to help you solve it!"
Helping Noah up, Tomas looked at the young man in front of him with newfound respect.
He had thought that Noah, coming from a noble background, would be arrogant and spoiled. But hedidn't expect Noah to bow to him and humbly seek his advice.
This kind of character would surely make Noah a force to be reckoned with in the future!
"Mr. Savage, what strategy do you have to bring down the Harris family and the Murphy family?" Noah asked directly.
Tomas fell silent, deep in thought, pacing back and forth in front of the desk. After a couple of minutes, he stopped.
"Mr. Anderson, I have a plan. If you follow it, there's a seventy percent chance of success in bringing down these two families."
"Let's hear it," Noah said.
"For the Harris family, we should use a soft approach," Tomas said, stroking his beard with a smile.
"What do you mean by a soft approach?"
"The Harris family has many businesses in Silverlight City and people in high places. Bringing them down all at once is impossible without overwhelming power," Tomas said slowly. "But with such a large family, there are bound to be flaws, like tax evasion, producing counterfeit goods, or scandals involving family members. If we can uncover these flaws and expose them, it will create significant negative pressure. Even their connections in the government won't be able to protect them."
Noah nodded, finding Tomas's words reasonable.
"In summary, Mr. Anderson, you should do two things regarding the Harris family. First, establish your own businesses in Silverlight City, preferably in areas where the Harris family is also involved. When their flaws are exposed and their businesses shrink, you can seize the opportunity to take over their industries."
"Second, assign people to investigate the Harris family's flaws, and even spend money to bribe their insiders."
"You're right." Noah's eyes lit up. "When the time comes, we'll expose the Harris family's weaknesses, and my businesses will expand. Even if we can't destroy them, we can significantly weaken them."
"Exactly! Mr. Anderson, you grasp things quickly!" Tomas laughed. "For most people, bringing down the Harris family is nearly impossible, but not for you. Even if you have no power or businesses in Silverlight City, you have money! And money can buy everything you need!"
