Chapter 232 Call Me Mr. Anderson!

"Can't afford to mess with? This guy's serious trouble?" Noah was taken aback.

"Yeah, he is," Jack nodded, "Best thing we can do is apologize and get the hell outta here."

"Is this guy really that connected?" Noah asked, still puzzled.

"Of course, and with some serious muscle!" Jack's face turned serious, fear creeping into his eyes. "Mr. Anderson, in Oceanbridge City, there are two major players in the underworld, Mason and Luke. You know them, right?"

Noah nodded, "Yeah, I've heard of them."

Jack then explained, "Well, Luke's crew got busted recently, and his guys scattered. About two-thirds of them joined up with Mason. But the rest fell in with a guy named Lucas Lewis."

"Lucas?" Noah hadn't heard of him.

"Yeah, he was one of Luke's top lieutenants, had a lot of respect in the gang. After Luke got nabbed, that third of the gang followed Lucas. Plus, Luke left behind a lot of assets, so Lucas is pretty high up in the underworld now," Jack explained, "So now it's basically split: Mason on one side, Lucas on the other. And then there's Ethan, who's been climbing the ranks fast, but he's under Mason."

"And I'm just a small-time thug on Orchard Breeze Avenue. Compared to Lucas, I'm nothing. How could I afford to piss off his people?" Jack urged, "Mr. Anderson, we need to apologize and get outta here. We can't get mixed up in this!"

The guy leading the group sneered after hearing Jack's words. "Apologize and leave? Dream on! You disrespected me just now. Think I'll let you off that easy? Both of you, kneel down, and maybe I'll just let this slide!"

"Kneel down?" Jack's face changed. He gritted his teeth and said, "Fine, I'll apologize. As long as I can escape this."

He bowed and apologized to the man in front. "Sir, I was an idiot. I didn't know you were with Lucas! Please, let me go!"

Jack was genuinely scared of Lucas. He had to apologize; otherwise, if Lucas showed up, he might end up dead.

"Apologizing so easily? What a coward!" The man laughed heartily, looking smug. "Since you apologized, I'll keep my word, fuck off!"

Then he turned his gaze to Noah, who was still standing there, unmoved. "Why aren't you kneeling?"

Jack also looked at Noah and urged, "Mr. Anderson, just kneel down! If you don't, you might not make it out alive! I know you're loaded, Mr. Anderson, but Lucas is a gangster. His methods are brutal. Even money might not save you if you cross him!"

"Lucas? I'm not afraid of him," Noah shook his head, speaking calmly but with great confidence.

Hearing this, both the man and Jack were stunned.

"So, you're not gonna apologize?" The man's eyes turned cold.

"The one who should apologize is you, you should kneel down!" Noah said firmly.

Jack sighed and stopped trying to persuade him. If Noah insisted on bringing trouble upon himself, there was nothing more he could say. He stood up and stepped aside.

"You're asking for it! I'll count to three. Kneel down and apologize, or I'll break your legs!" the man threatened coldly.

"One."

"Two."

"Three."

He finished counting, but Noah didn't budge.

At this point, the man's men surrounded Noah.

"You have a death wish!" The man's eyes burned with anger. Knowing his identity and still not apologizing was a blatant show of disrespect to him and Lucas.

The man instructed his men, "Get him!"

At the command, the thugs raised their iron rods and steel pipes, ready to strike.

Jack shook his head, standing aside, showing no intention of helping. Noah was bringing this upon himself.

"Mr. Anderson!" Grace and Charlotte were pale with fear, covering their eyes, unable to watch.

Noah stood with his hands behind his back, calmly looking at the men in front of him. He didn't take them seriously at all.

The thugs charged at Noah with their weapons raised.

Just as the iron rods were about to hit Noah, a loud voice echoed through the area. "Who dares to hit Noah!"

The voice was followed by the sound of many footsteps.

The thugs surrounding Noah stopped and looked towards the source of the voice.

In the next moment, they were all stunned.

The man was shocked, and so was Jack.

At the end of the street, footsteps appeared, moving towards them.

It was a group of people, densely packed like a tide, blocking the entire street.

These people were tall, holding machetes and daggers, with fierce expressions and a cold aura as they walked forward.

The sound of their footsteps echoed on the ground. There were over a hundred of them!

In the blink of an eye, they reached Noah.

Leading them was a young man in a T-shirt, missing a pinky finger on his left hand.

"Ethan?" Jack's face changed dramatically, filled with disbelief. He couldn't understand why Ethan was here.

Ethan was a rising star in the underworld, having absorbed much of Luke's power. There were even rumors that Ethan might become Mason's successor!

Compared to Ethan, Jack was just a small fry.

"Ethan?" The man's face also turned serious, even showing a hint of fear. Ethan's presence meant only Lucas could suppress him.

'Maybe he's just passing by,' the man thought to himself.

But the next moment, he was shocked, his mouth agape in disbelief.

Ethan looked at Noah and then turned to his men. "This is Mr. Anderson. Show your respect!"

"Mr. Anderson!" The hundred men immediately bowed their heads and shouted in unison, their voices shaking the ground.

The man gasped heavily, his mind in turmoil. Ethan was having his men call Noah "Mr. Anderson"?

Noah's status was clearly higher than Ethan's!

The man looked at Noah, terrified, sweat pouring down his back, his legs trembling.

"Mr. Anderson." Jack stood nearby, stunned, unable to believe what he was hearing.
