Chapter 87 Abnormal

After returning home, Noah and Lisa went to bed.

In the middle of the night, the moonlight shone brightly through the window.

Ding-ling-ling!

An urgent phone call interrupted Noah and Lisa's sleep.

"Who could be calling at this hour?"

Noah frowned, annoyed at being woken up from his sleep.

"It's from Evelyn," Lisa said as she checked the number and answered the call.

"Hello, Evelyn. What's the matter?"

"Waaah! Lisa, save me!" Evelyn immediately burst into tears on the other end of the phone. Her voice was trembling and filled with fear.

"Joshua is a psycho, a demon! Please, save me!"

"What? Evelyn, what happened? Explain it clearly!" Lisa was confused.

Lisa was puzzled. Just a few hours ago, those two had been still together at the Golden Luxe Hotel. Did they have another fight and break up?

"I don't even know where I am now," Evelyn said in a suddenly lower voice, as if she was afraid of being heard. "Joshua and I left the Golden Luxe Hotel, and he said he wanted to take me to a bar for a drink, so we went together."

"I don’t know where he’s taken me. He brought me to a villa, and I saw Max there!"

"Max?" Lisa was taken aback. The name sounded familiar.

"It's the same Max we met at Disneyland last time, the one with the blue Rolls Royce," Evelyn whispered, finally jogging Lisa's memory.

She remembered that Noah had beaten up Max at the Disney entrance.

"Do you remember what Max and Joshua said to each other at the Disneyland gate?" Evelyn's voice trembled.

"What did they say?"

"Max said to Joshua, 'When you're done playing, let me have a turn!' I didn't pay much attention to that at the time, but tonight, Joshua finally revealed his twisted side."

As Evelyn spoke, she burst into loud sobs. "That demon Joshua gave me to Max! He wanted me to sleep with Max!"

"What?!" Lisa was dumbfounded. She never expected Joshua to be the kind of person who would give his girlfriend to someone else!

She could never have guessed that Joshua had such a twisted side.

"Sob... Sob..." Evelyn cried. "Lisa, I feel so awful. I actually had feelings for Joshua, and I was even planning to marry him. Why did he deceive me like this?"

Evelyn's voice grew louder and louder. "He even told me that I was just a plaything, and when he got bored, he would hand me over to someone else!

"Sob... Sob... Why did I meet such a scumbag?

"Lisa, I'm so scared. Please come and save me... Sob... Sob!"

"Evelyn, calm down. Tell me where you are!" Lisa said.

Suddenly, she heard a voice on the other end of the phone, accompanied by an evil laugh.

"Hehe, my little sweetheart, I finally found you! You hid as soon as I took a shower. How naughty of you!"

Lisa recognized Max’s voice.

"Lisa, Max is here. Please save me... Sob... Sob!" Evelyn cried.

"Oh, you’re making a phone call, huh? Tsk tsk, once you're here with me, no one can save you! I bought a lot of props for us to have a good time tonight!"

Then, there was a sound of rustling on the phone, as if Max had taken Evelyn's phone, followed by the dial tone as he hung up.

"Evelyn! Evelyn!"

Lisa called out anxiously, her face turning pale. "What should we do? Evelyn is with Max, she's definitely going to be violated by that old pervert!"

"Honey, do you really want to save Evelyn?" Noah lay on the bed with his hands crossed behind his head indifferently.

He had heard their conversation on the phone.

Noah didn't really like Evelyn, so naturally, he wouldn't take the initiative to save her.

"Of course I want to rescue her!"

Lisa nodded. "Evelyn was my college classmate for four years, she’s my best friend. Although she can be nasty a bit vain at times, she’s still kind-hearted deep down!

"More importantly, she’s already suffered because of that scumbag Joshua. Now she’s with that old pervert Max. If Evelyn really is violated by Max, it might traumatize her!

"This could ruin her entire life!

"I don't want to see that happen."

Lisa looked serious as she took out her phone. "Honey, I'm calling the police."

"No need."

Noah stopped Lisa. "Calling the police won't be much use. Since Max dares to do this, he probably isn't afraid of the police."

"What should we do then?"

Lisa panicked. "Are we just going to stand by and watch Evelyn get violated?"

Noah shook his head helplessly, got out of bed, and started dressing.

"Honey, what are you doing?" Lisa was puzzled and curious.

"I don't want to see you heartbroken." Noah smiled faintly. "Wait here for me, it'll only take around an hour. Don't wander around. Your best friend Evelyn will be safe."

After saying that, Noah went out, downstairs, and made a call to Mason.

"Hey, Noah." Mason answered the phone.

"Hey, why aren't you sleeping at this late hour?" Noah was surprised, noting that Mason sounded energetic.

"I can’t sleep, it’s insomnia." Mason replied cheerfully.

"Never mind that, I need your help. Find out where Max is." Noah said calmly.

"Max?"

Mason pondered for a moment and asked, "The real estate magnate Max from Oceanbridge City?"

"Yes, him."

"Give me a moment, Noah. I'll have someone check."

In a short while, Mason called Noah back.

"Noah, Max is currently located at Oakwood Manor, House 3, Row 2. That's his home. Do you want to go see him?"

"Yes."

Noah nodded, started the car, and opened the navigation to Oakwood Manor.

"Noah, Max always has bodyguards with him when he goes out. Naturally, his residence isn't an exception. Should I send some people to assist you?" Mason asked again.

"No need, just send a few bodyguards."

Noah hung up the phone and headed to Oakwood Manor.

30 minutes later, a Mercedes E350L pulled up at the entrance of the community.

The security guard at the entrance checked the license plate and realized that this car was not owned by a resident. He reached out to stop the car.

"Please register if you want to enter, ," the security guard said.

The security guard's gaze landed on Noah, and when he saw the car logo, he immediately put on a flattering smile and changed his tone.

"Is this a new car, Sir?"

"Yes, I haven't registered it yet!" Noah nodded. "Can I go in?"

"Of course, of course!" The security guard smiled and immediately allowed Noah to enter.

Noah rolled his eyes. If he had been driving a domestic car worth a few thousand dollars, the security guard probably wouldn't have let him in.

But now that he was driving a Mercedes, the security guard treated him like a resident.

That was just how the world worked.

Vroom...

The Mercedes engine roared as it entered the community.

"Row three, number two..."

Noah followed the direction indicated by the road signs and arrived at a villa.

This villa was a three-story standalone villa with a large courtyard in front, filled with flowers and a blue Rolls Royce parked inside.
