Chapter 220: Turmoil in the Livestreaming World

"That's good," Noah breathed a sigh of relief. "The doctors told me that the radiation therapy went smoothly. After about four treatments, the cancer cells should be completely eliminated. After a period of recovery, you will be able to leave the hospital cured."

"Noah, thank you so much, I don't know how to repay you..." Grace looked at Noah, tears glistening in her big eyes.

If it weren't for Noah, she believed she would have died.
Even though Saint Mary's Hospital had state-of-the-art radiation therapy equipment, she didn't have enough financial means to undergo radiation therapy.

"This is nothing to me," Noah chuckled. "This is the best nursing ward in the hospital, Grace. All you need to do now is rest, take care of your body, and if you have any needs, feel free to let me know."

"Okay," Grace nodded and then asked, "What about Scarlett's daily routine while I'm in the hospital?"

"I'll take care of her. I'll bring her home," Noah rubbed his chin.

"Is it convenient to bring her home?" Grace hesitated. "You are already married, so bringing a child home might make your wife angry or something."

"Don't worry, my wife is very open-minded. You don't need to worry about that. Scarlett will be well taken care of with me," Noah reassured confidently.

"Alright," Grace felt relieved.

After chatting for a while, Grace said she was tired and fell asleep.

Noah took Scarlett out of the hospital and before leaving, instructed the nurse to take good care of Grace, to which the nurse naturally nodded in agreement.

"Noah, are you taking me to your house?" Scarlett sat in the passenger seat, blinking her big eyes, looking at Noah.

"Yes!" Noah pinched Scarlett's tender face. This adorable little girl was very likable.

"Where is your house?" Scarlett curiously asked.

"You'll know when we get there," Noah started the car and in about half an hour, they arrived at Summit Retreat Oasis.

"Wow! Noah, your house is so big and beautiful!" Scarlett exclaimed as she looked at the interior decoration of the living room, jumping with excitement.

"Haha, while Grace rests these few days, I'll take care of you. Just treat this place as your own home. If you want to eat or play something, just let me know," Noah smiled.

"Okay!" Scarlett said cheerfully.

"Hmm? Noah, who is this little girl?" Daniel, sitting on the couch, noticed Scarlett and frowned.

"Noah, who is he?" Scarlett curiously looked at Daniel, his dark expression making him somewhat intimidating.

"He is my father-in-law," Noah casually said, not even bothering to look at Daniel.

"Hello, Grandpa!" Scarlett bowed respectfully to Daniel.

"Hmph, Noah, is this little girl the illegitimate child you brought home from an affair?" Daniel snorted coldly.

"Daniel, watch your words."
Noah glanced coldly at Daniel and said, "This mansion is mine. If you speak randomly, I have the power to kick you out! If it weren't for my promise to Lisa not to provoke you, I would have already been rude to you for what you just said."

"You!" Daniel's face turned pale with anger, and he quickly soothed his chest.

Scarlett looked at Noah and then at Daniel. She felt that Noah and his father-in-law didn't seem to have a good relationship.

"Scarlett, I am the oldest in this house. If anyone bullies you, you can tell me anytime," Noah patted Scarlett's head.

"Okay!" Scarlett nodded.

In the evening, when Lisa finished work and saw a little girl in the house, she was slightly surprised and immediately asked Noah where the little girl came from.

Noah said his friend was ill and hospitalized, so he left his daughter at home to take care of her for a few days.

Lisa didn't ask further questions. Instead, she went forward and picked up Scarlett. In no time, they got along well.

Lisa liked this cute little girl even more than Noah did at first sight.

Moreover, she had been married to Noah for a while now, but there had been no movement in her belly.

Deep down, Lisa also wanted a child.

At the dinner table, Scarlett ate while saying, "Sister Lisa, you are so beautiful! No wonder Brother Noah loves you so much!"

"Oh, stop it," Lisa blushed slightly. She felt like she had just tasted something sweet.

At night, Lisa decided to let Scarlett sleep with them because Scarlett was afraid of the dark.

Although Noah was a bit helpless, he could only agree to Lisa's request.

Before going to bed, Noah took a shower in the bathroom.

Suddenly, his WeChat notification sounded, indicating a message had arrived.

He picked up his phone and saw that it was from the HR manager of Facebook Live. Recently, this person had been busy poaching top anchors from other major livestreaming platforms.

Noah opened WeChat and checked the message.

"Noah, we have found a total of ten anchors so far. They are all top anchors from various categories on major livestreaming platforms, including outdoors, gaming, food, and talent shows. Two of them have expressed interest in joining our platform and collaborating with us. Moreover, they are currently residing in Oceanbridge City and are ready to negotiate contracts."

"What's the offer?" Noah replied to the message.

"One of them is an outdoor anchor with the pseudonym 'the cool.' He is a top outdoor anchor on Douyu platform, with around five million subscribers and a stable daily live stream audience of around two million. To lure him over and account for breach of contract, he has offered a bid of two hundred million."
There was another one, a food anchor named "HungryinOceanbridgeCity," with 2 million subscribers and a stable daily audience of around 700,000. His offer to switch companies was worth one billion dollars.
