Chapter 300 Break Two Legs

"Look, this logistics deal is a win-win for both your Winchester family and our Anderson Group," Noah started, glancing at Gideon. "But yesterday, Gideon tore up the contract and threatened to break my legs. He was pretty cocky about it. I'm not one to hold grudges, but if you want to sign the contract again, it's simple: break his legs."

Noah pointed at Gideon.

Gideon's face went pale, then he exploded. "Noah, don't push it! We came here to apologize, which is already a big deal. But you want to break my legs? You're nuts..."

Before Gideon could finish, a sharp slap echoed through the room. A red handprint appeared on Gideon's left cheek, stinging with pain. The slap came from Wren.

"Shut up!" Wren glared coldly at Gideon. "If it weren't for you, this logistics deal between the Winchester family and the Anderson Group would have been settled ages ago. You've caused so much trouble!"

"Mom," Gideon opened his mouth but couldn't say anything more.

Noah stood up, grabbed a baseball bat from the corner, and tossed it in front of Wren. "Break his legs, and the deal goes through. If not, forget it. Without your logistics, the Anderson Group can easily find another partner. It'll just take more time and money."

Wren fell silent, her eyes flickering with hesitation. Gideon was her son; breaking his legs would break her heart. But if she didn't, they'd lose this huge opportunity, which could affect the Winchester family's future for the next twenty or thirty years.

Wren's face showed a struggle. Seeing this, Gideon's expression changed. "Mom, you're not really going to listen to Noah and break my legs, are you?"

Wren didn't look at Gideon but instead turned to the two middle-aged men behind her and sighed. "Take this ungrateful son outside and break his legs."

She picked up the baseball bat and handed it over. The two men nodded, grabbed Gideon by the arms, and started dragging him out.

"Mom! No!" Gideon's face turned ashen, and he clung to Wren's arm. "I'm your son! Your flesh and blood! You can't break my legs!"

"Don't, Mom!"

Wren shook him off, muttering, "Gideon, I'm doing this for our family's benefit. You brought this on yourself by offending Noah. I hope this teaches you a lesson."

"Mom! No!" Gideon's voice grew distant as he was dragged outside. Soon, muffled sounds could be heard, followed by Gideon's agonized screams.

"It hurts! Mom, make them stop! It hurts so much!"

The screams were heart-wrenching, filled with immense pain. Tears streamed down Wren's face. How could she not be heartbroken hearing her son's cries?

After about ten minutes, Gideon's screams faded. The two men dragged him back in. Gideon was pale, blood at the corner of his mouth, unconscious. His legs lay limp on the ground, clearly broken.

"Mrs. Winchester, it's done," one of the men said.

"Mr. Anderson, Gideon's legs are broken. What about the contract?" Wren looked at Noah, her heart still aching. 'Gideon, don't blame me. I did this for the Winchester family. And we can't afford to offend Noah from the Anderson Group.'

"Sign it," Noah said calmly, printing out a new contract identical to the one from yesterday and signing it. Wren took her copy, ensuring it wouldn't be torn up again.

"Mr. Anderson, sorry for the trouble," Wren forced a smile. "About Gideon..."

"Take him to the hospital," Noah said indifferently.

"Alright, I'll be going then!" Wren felt relieved. "If you ever visit the Winchester family, we'll make sure you're well taken care of."

Noah nodded, saying nothing more. Wren quickly left, her next step to rush Gideon to the hospital. With his legs broken, it would take at least half a year for him to recover.

Not long after Wren left, Noah's phone rang. It was Ethan.

"Noah!" Ethan's voice came through.

"What's up?" Noah asked.

"Mason's passing the torch tomorrow at the Chen Mansion in Oceanbridge City. All the key figures in the city's underworld will be there. Are you coming?" Ethan asked.

Noah thought for a moment. "I won't go. It's your underworld business."

"Alright," Ethan sounded a bit disappointed but didn't push. "If anything happens, I'll let you know immediately."

"Good," Noah said. Ethan was young, and with Mason passing the torch to him, there might be some dissent among the more experienced members. But Noah trusted Mason's judgment.

"Don't worry, Noah. If anything comes up, you'll be the first to know," Ethan assured him.

"Okay."

After hanging up, Noah continued his breakfast.

Meanwhile, at the Oceanbridge City Real Estate Center, Larry hurried out, a briefcase under his arm. He looked at the stack of house sale contracts in his hand and sighed in relief.

"Finally sold Summit Retreat Oasis. Now I can pay back the the million dollars to the 'I Am a Super Rich' show."

Larry sighed again, feeling a bit disappointed. "That villa was the most comfortable place I've ever lived in. But I only stayed there for a week before having to sell it. It's a shame."

"Not only do I have to move out, but my father-in-law has to go back to his old place too."

At 3 PM, at the Nightfall Bar, Noah arrived, looking to unwind with a couple of drinks.

"Our lucky star is here!" Daisy greeted him with a cheerful smile.

Bodhi also approached, looking energetic and full of smiles. "Here for a drink?"

"Yeah," Noah replied, finding a booth to sit in. Bodhi brought over a bottle of whiskey and two glasses, sitting across from Noah.
