Chapter 427 Unworthy

Lisa quickly lowered her head, afraid to look at Noah any longer. She feared that if she continued to gaze at him, her tears would start flowing uncontrollably.

The thought of divorce cut through her like a knife, making her body tremble slightly with pain.

"Honey, you left last night without saying anything," Noah said, walking directly to Lisa with a smile. "I was really worried."

Hearing Noah's voice, Lisa could no longer hold back. Tears streamed down her face as she began to sob quietly.

Noah's brow furrowed with concern. "Honey, why are you crying?"

A faint, cold killing intent suddenly radiated from Noah's body.

Sensing this chilling aura, Daniel, Larry, and the others couldn't help but shudder, their hearts skipping a beat.

"Honey, did someone upset you?" Noah took Lisa's small hand in his, speaking gently. "I'll make it right."

His words were soft but carried a powerful confidence. In his eyes, a cold glint appeared—in his mind, Lisa's tears were very likely connected to Daniel, Sarah, Larry, or the others.

"Noah, watch your actions! Step away from Lisa!" Daniel shouted coldly from the side.

"Lisa is my wife. Why shouldn't I be close to her?" Noah glanced at Daniel, his tone calm but challenging.

"Wife? Noah, you worthless fool, from this moment on, you no longer have a wife!" Daniel sneered.

Noah froze.

"Noah, let's get divorced."

Lisa wiped her tears and suddenly spoke.

Noah's body gave a slight tremor. "What did you say?"

"I said, let's get divorced."

Lisa lifted her head, her beautiful eyes filled with tears as she looked at Noah. Those eyes contained deep affection and reluctance, but also determination.

"Why?"

Noah's thoughts tumbled chaotically, his body trembling almost imperceptibly as his breathing grew heavier.

He felt as if the sky had fallen.

His once colorful life instantly darkened with Lisa's words: "Let's get divorced."

"What did I do wrong?" Noah took a deep breath.

"Nothing. You've been perfect. It's just... I'm not good enough for you. Let's get divorced." Lisa spoke again, gently withdrawing her hand from Noah's.

"Even at a time like this, Lisa is still being kind to this loser!" Sarah laughed coldly. "Noah, did you hear her? Lisa wants a divorce. Why don't you go with her to the courthouse right now?"

As soon as she finished speaking, a sharp pain bloomed across her face, leaving a red handprint.

"I'm talking to my wife. Who asked for your opinion?"

Noah lowered his hand, giving Sarah an icy stare. He had just slapped her.

"Noah, you dare strike me? You're completely out of line!"

Sarah covered her cheek, tears of pain springing to her eyes.

"Noah, aren't you being too aggressive, hitting my wife right in front of me?"

Larry rolled up his sleeves, preparing to teach Noah a lesson.

"If you say another word, I'll hit you too."

Noah shot Larry a murderous glance.

Lisa's sudden mention of divorce had put Noah in a foul mood. He was in no state to consider family relations or saving face if these two continued to provoke him.

"Honey, if you want a divorce, at least give me a reason," Noah turned back to Lisa, his gaze instantly softening with tenderness. "You're so beautiful and caring—how could you possibly not good enough?"

"The gap between us is too wide. I truly don't deserve you," Lisa replied. "Also, Noah, Sarah is my older sister. You hit her. I hope you'll apologize."

Noah's expression changed slightly. He gritted his teeth. "Sarah, I'm sorry."

"After you divorce Lisa, you'll be nothing but a stranger to us! Considering your history with Lisa, I'll let this slap go," Sarah sniffed coldly, still holding her cheek.

"So this is Lisa's soon-to-be ex-husband, Noah?"

Tyrell walked over, looking at Noah with undisguised contempt.

"Nice villa you've got here," he added, glancing at the building behind Noah.

"Tyrell, you're mistaken. This villa isn't Noah's. He got it by sucking up to the wealthy Bodhi," Larry interjected.

"The wealthy Bodhi."

Tyrell's eyes flickered with recognition—he was certainly familiar with Silverlight City's famous tycoon.

"In a place like Silverlight City, someone like Bodhi might be considered wealthy. But in Riverton where I'm from, such rich people are a dime a dozen," he said, looking at Noah with disdain. "Only someone as shortsighted as you would flatter such a so-called tycoon."

Noah turned to Tyrell, not recognizing this man.

"Let me introduce myself—Tyrell, Lisa's fiancé," Tyrell said with confident smile. "After you divorce Lisa, I'll become her husband. Lisa is far too beautiful for someone like you. Understand?"

"Fiancé?"

Noah's brow furrowed deeply as he looked at Lisa. "Honey, is what he's saying true? He's your fiancé?"

"Yes."

Lisa nodded slightly, her voice choked with emotion, her heart feeling as if it were being sliced open. 'Noah, I'm doing this for your own good. I don't deserve you. Only a royal princess could match your status and bring benefits to the Anderson family.'

Hearing Lisa confirm that Tyrell was her fiancé, Noah's pupils contracted sharply. He couldn't help but tremble.

His face contorted, but he still managed to force a smile. "You're lying."

"Noah, I have no reason to lie about something like this," Lisa replied, her heart breaking at the sight of his expression.

"Noah, I'm giving you one night to think about this," Daniel spoke up. "I hope you'll be rational at this critical moment and not do anything impulsive."

"Lisa divorcing you is already decided, and she has agreed to it. You should understand that forcing someone to stay never ends well. Besides, your status doesn't match my daughter Lisa's. Compared to her fiancé Tyrell, the gap is enormous."

Daniel was worried Noah might do something rash out of anger, which would complicate the divorce proceedings.

"Lisa, let's go home for now. We'll come back tomorrow," Daniel said.

"Alright."

Lisa looked at Noah one last time, her eyes full of reluctance.

She bit her lip slightly before turning to leave.

"Lisa, Tyrell parked his car outside. You should ride with him," Larry suggested. "Spend some time together since you'll be getting married soon. You need to build your relationship."

"Okay."

Lisa nodded gently. After leaving the villa, she obediently sat in the passenger seat of the BMW X5.

Once inside, she could no longer contain herself. Tears flowed freely as she broke into heart-wrenching sobs.
