Chapter 417 Noah's Mother

In the next twenty or thirty years, it was not impossible for the Moore family to reach the threshold of a dynasty.

"Alright, that's all for today. Everyone, get back to work!" Noah said with a smile.

"See you, Mr. Anderson!"

"Take care!"

"Bye, Mr. Anderson!"

Everyone stood up and left.

"Honey, are they gone?" Lisa asked as she walked out of the room after everyone had left.

Noah had been discussing business in the living room, and Lisa knew he was busy, so she didn't disturb him.

Those people were all dressed impeccably and showed great respect for Noah, making Lisa realize that Noah's status was far more complex than it appeared.

"Yeah, they're all gone," Noah nodded and smiled warmly at Lisa. "Honey, let's go out for a walk and relax."

With the Harris family taken care of, Noah could finally unwind a bit, and it was a good time to go out without any danger.

Lisa had been quite tense these past few days, especially after seeing their home trashed. She was worried about who Noah might have offended.

As for her father, Daniel, he had been released from the police station and was now staying with Larry.

"Okay," Lisa nodded.

After a quick tidy-up, Noah and Lisa left Oasis Villa and went shopping.

Noah bought Lisa some clothes and cosmetics, and when they got tired, they went to a nearby café to rest and have a cup of coffee.

"Honey, I need to use the restroom, wait me here," Noah said, feeling a bit uncomfortable in his stomach.

"Alright," Lisa nodded.

After Noah left, Lisa took out her phone to check her messages.

She had been away from Oceanbridge City for a few days, but she hadn't neglected her work.

The redevelopment project in the poor district was a massive undertaking, with countless details needing her attention every day.

Although Noah's asset management company had handled most of it, some people still sought her out for decisions regarding the project.

"What are you reading?" A gentle voice came from across the table.

Lisa looked up to see a woman sitting down opposite her.

The woman had short hair, slight wrinkles at the corners of her eyes, but her skin was flawless, and her eyes were deep and captivating.

Behind the woman stood an elderly man with a dragon-headed cane, showing her great respect.

"Work-related stuff," Lisa replied politely, despite feeling a bit annoyed by the sudden question. There was something familiar about the woman's appearance that Lisa couldn't quite place.

"Work?" The woman glanced at Lisa's phone screen before looking back at her. "Thinking about work while shopping, that's impressive."

"It's alright," Lisa said, slightly taken aback.

"Let me formally introduce myself. I'm Jade Marie, Noah's mother," the woman said.

"Noah's mother!" Lisa was stunned. She hadn't expected Noah's mother to show up here.

Upon closer inspection, Jade did resemble Noah, confirming her identity.

A faint blush appeared on Lisa's face as she felt her cheeks heat up.

Meeting her mother-in-law, who looked almost as young as her despite a few wrinkles, was overwhelming. Jade's aura was regal and confident, far surpassing Lisa's.

"You've been with Noah for a while now, so you should know his family background isn't simple," Jade said, ignoring Lisa's shyness.

"I didn't realize it at first, but lately, I've started to notice," Lisa's heart raced. "He can buy villas and luxury cars, and those important people treat him with great respect. He must come from a wealthy family, worth billions of dollars, otherwise, why would those people be so respectful?"

"Billions of dollars?" Jade shook her head slightly. "Our family background is beyond your comprehension; it exceeds your worldview."

Jade then took out a photo and placed it in front of Lisa. The photo showed a beautiful young woman with blonde hair and blue eyes, dressed in a skirt, smiling with a noble air.

"This is a royal princess from abroad, with noble blood and upbringing. Do you think you compare to her?" Jade asked.

"Compare?" Lisa was puzzled by the question but answered honestly, "Of course, there's a huge difference. We're not from the same world. She's a royal princess, and I'm just a girl from an ordinary family, raised by a single parent after my parents divorced."

"In terms of education and family background, I can't compare to her at all."

"At least you have some self-awareness," Jade nodded. "You have ambition, thinking about work while shopping, but many girls today are ambitious. This doesn't attract me, and you don't deserve to be my daughter-in-law."

"Don't deserve... daughter-in-law..." Lisa trembled, feeling rejected, her eyes reddening as she fought back tears.

"That means you don't deserve to be Noah's wife. Noah's future is to lead the Anderson family, and his marriage must bring benefits to the family," Jade continued. "If Noah takes you out and people ask which family you're from, only to find out you're just an ordinary girl, it would bring shame to the Anderson family."

"So, I'm here to ask you to be sensible and divorce Noah because you don't deserve him."

Jade placed a bank card on the table. "This card has a hundred million dollars, the password is six zeros. The money is enough for you and your family to live comfortably for a lifetime."

"Take the money and leave Noah. I'll give you two days to show me the divorce papers."

Lisa couldn't hold back anymore, trembling and crying softly, tears streaming down her face.

"Mrs. Anderson... I never expected... my husband... no, Noah's family to be so wealthy. I love him very much," Lisa said, choking on her words.

"I know you love him, but you don't deserve him," Jade said. "You two are from different worlds, the gap is too wide."

"It's true, I don't deserve him. I'm just an ordinary girl, and Noah comes from a wealthy family," Lisa wiped her tears.

With trembling hands, she pushed back the card. "I don't want the money. Noah has the right to choose a better woman. Marrying him doesn't bring any benefits to the Anderson family; instead, I spend his money on villas and cars... I'll talk to him about the divorce myself."
