Chapter 390 Kneel Before Me

Noah drove Aurelia back to the Hilton, and by the time they pulled up, it was already seven in the evening.

As he opened the door, he spotted a middle-aged man lounging on the living room sofa, savoring a cup of coffee like it was the best thing he'd ever tasted.

"Aren't you supposed to be at Larry's? What are you doing back here?" Noah asked, eyebrows furrowed.

The man on the sofa was Daniel, his father-in-law. Earlier that day, Larry and Sarah had taken him away, and Noah hadn't expected him to sneak back so soon.

"What's the hurry, Noah? I'm your father-in-law, and I love the coffee here. Staying in your fancy suite isn't a problem, is it? It's not like I'm spending your money!" Daniel rolled his eyes and took another sip. "Besides, my daughter Luna is here. Can't I come over to keep her company?"

Noah shook his head, not wanting to get into it with Daniel. He and Lisa had already moved out, so he didn't have to deal with him directly.

Daniel had slipped away from the Dreamlike Hotel because the conditions there were lousy—the rooms were cramped, there was a weird smell, and they didn't even have decent coffee. So, Daniel had quietly returned.

After getting Aurelia settled in her room to rest, Noah left the Hilton. As he reached the hotel entrance, he remembered to call the folks from Respect Noah Pavilion, telling some of them to move to Oasis Villa.

Not long after, about ten guys in sunglasses came out of the hotel.

"Mr. Anderson!" they called out together.

"Alright, let's roll. I'll show you the new place for now." Noah nodded and got into his car. The group followed in three Buick minivans, sticking close behind Noah's vehicle.

About half an hour later, they arrived at Oasis Villa. It was nearly eight o'clock, and since Oasis Villa was a new development, there weren't many people around yet, making the streets pretty empty.

The evening breeze was gentle, and the streetlights cast a soft glow.

Soon, Noah led the group to the villa entrance. His eyes caught sight of an Audi A8 parked outside his villa, with a Silverlight City license plate.

"Hang tight for a sec. I'll go check it out," Noah said, feeling a bit uneasy since Lisa was home alone, and now there was a strange car parked outside.

As he approached the Audi, the window slowly rolled down, revealing a young man with a cocky grin looking at Noah.

The man was Rhett, handsome with wavy blond hair. In the passenger seat sat a woman with delicate features—Evelyn.

As Rhett finished speaking, the sound of footsteps filled the air. Shadows emerged from all around, and in the blink of an eye, more than twenty people surrounded Noah. Each held iron rods and steel pipes, their bodies covered in tattoos, looking menacing.

"Noah, the Harris family's top dogs don't want to mess with you because of Bodhi. But I've got cash, and these guys are itching to take you down!" Rhett grinned wickedly from inside the car.

"I've put a bounty on you—one hundred grand for an arm, two for a leg. If anyone's bold enough to kill you here, I'll pay a million! How's that for a price? Pretty steep for someone like you, huh?"

"Noah, you can still beg for mercy!" Evelyn piped up from the passenger seat. "You're Lisa's husband, after all. If something happens to you, she'll be upset, and I don't want her crying over a loser like you. Why not just ask Mr. Harris for mercy?"

"Begging for mercy? Sure thing." Rhett smirked, tilting his chin up. "Kneel before me, and I'll let you walk away!"

Noah's face stayed calm as he glanced at the thugs surrounding him, then turned his gaze to Rhett. "Where's my wife?"

"Didn't think you'd be so loyal, worrying about Lisa even now!" Evelyn said, surprised. "Relax, this is between you and Mr. Harris. Lisa's my friend, and I've made sure Mr. Harris leaves her alone. She's in the villa, probably resting, totally unaware of this."

"Alright, Noah, time to make a choice. Beg and kneel, or lose your limbs?" Rhett was getting impatient.

The thugs stepped forward, ready to strike with their iron rods.

Rhett's lips curled into a cruel smile, as if he could already see Noah beaten to a pulp.

Noah stood with his hands behind his back, unmoving.

"What's going on, Noah?" At that moment, the group from Respect Noah Pavilion stepped forward, their cold eyes fixed on the thugs.

Rhett's expression shifted slightly, surprised that Noah had backup. But he quickly relaxed. There were only about ten of them, while he had over twenty. Even with help, Noah's side was outnumbered.

"Take care of them," Noah said calmly.

"Yes, sir!" The Respect Noah Pavilion members sprang into action, engaging the thugs.

"Get them!" Rhett shouted.

The sound of fists hitting flesh echoed instantly. Rhett was confident, but in the next moment, he was stunned. The high-priced street fighters he'd hired were no match for Noah's men. In the blink of an eye, three were down, unable to fight.

The Respect Noah Pavilion members were like tigers among sheep, completely overwhelming the thugs. In less than a minute, all twenty-plus were on the ground, groaning in pain.

Noah remained with his hands behind his back, his expression unchanged. This outcome was exactly as he'd expected. The Respect Noah Pavilion members were elite, top-tier fighters, and these thugs were no match for them.

"Rhett, I'm giving you a chance now." Noah stepped forward, standing in front of Rhett. "Kneel before me, and I'll let this go. Otherwise, you'll leave your arms and legs here too! Not even the Harris family can protect you!"

Noah's gaze was icy.

Rhett trembled with fear, then forced a cold smile. "I didn't expect you to have such skilled people under your command. That's a surprise."

"If it weren't for them, you'd be dead today!" Rhett said as he reached under his seat, pulling out a black handgun and aiming it at Noah's head.
