Chapter 18 Mazda
'If it was Noah ... then it explains everything.'
Robert thought rapidly, 'First, it explains why Noah is always indifferent to me, while Larry seems to be somewhat ingratiating.
'Second, it explains the Omega-3 fish oil Noah bought for Daniel. One needs not only money but also connections to buy it!'
Thinking of this, Robert was almost sure that John did this favor for Noah!
Although he didn't know much about Noah, he could tell Noah was powerful since even John showed Noah respect!
"Sir, you have a guest out here," a voice came from outside.
"I'm not seeing anybody during work hours!" Robert frowned.
"He said you will meet him because he is Daniel's relative..."
"Daniel's relative!"
Robert was shocked, and the image of Noah immediately popped up in his mind.
"Let him in! Now!"
Soon, the door opened, and Noah stepped in calmly.
"Noah?!" Robert looked at the youngster before him and tentatively spoke, uncertain.
Noah glanced at Robert in surprise. "It seems you know it was me who went to John?"
Robert shivered and bowed respectfully. "My apologies for my ignorance. I thought it was Larry."
It made more sense when Noah was the one instead of Larry. Noah was so calm as if nothing could bother him, while Larry was totally the opposite.
"It's fine."
Noah waved his hand, didn't care. Then, he sat down on the sofa.
Robert immediately served him some drink. "Noah, please have some tea."
At this moment, Robert still had some lingering fear.
Fortunately, yesterday in the ward, when he realized that Noah could be the one whom John was helping, he immediately found an excuse to leave. Otherwise, things would have been much harder to deal with.
Noah had some tea and showed the contract he brought along to Robert. "Take a look."
"Alright!"
Without asking anything, Robert started reading the contract.
"Noah, this is..."
Robert's eyes flickered after he read it.
"What? Any problem?" Noah asked.
"No! Not at all!" Robert immediately explained, "It's just that I saw this contract a couple of days ago. It was brought by someone named Michael.
"He founded a medical equipment company and seems to be the general manager. He wanted to get a deal with our hospital to sell their medical equipment to us. However, I rejected him. I didn't expect you to come with the same contract!
" I didn't intend to cooperate with Michael, but I will since you want me to!" Robert showed his attitude.
"Michael is the general manager..."
Noah was somewhat surprised, contemplating with a thoughtful expression. He thought over everything in the company. If Michael was behind it, then Mia's attitude made sense.
"Just sign the contract." Noah gave it no further thought.
"Alright!"
Robert signed and stamped the contract without hesitating.
It was easy and he could earn Noah's favor. What an excellent investment!
After the contract was signed, Noah left the hospital soon.
"Take care, Noah. If you need anything, I'm at your service at any time!"
Robert respectfully saw Noah off.
Noah got back to the company at past four in the afternoon.
"Look who is back!" Seeing Noah, Mia walked over with a playful expression. "Did he sign the contract?"
Everyone in the office turned their gaze towards him, pity emerging in their eyes.
No one believed that Noah could get the contract signed.
Mia was surely about to take advantage of the situation, and Noah was going to have a hard time again.
"Yes," Noah stated indifferently, passing the contract over.
"Yes?"
His calm answer was like a clap of thunder.
Noah had the contract signed?
The Royalty Hospital was a tough nut to crack, yet he got the contract signed in just a few hours.
No one could believe it.
"No way!"
Mia didn't believe it. She took the contract and was shocked to see Robert's signature and stamp.
Noah wasn't lying.
The signature and stamp were real!
"Wait a moment. I'll be back." Mia took the contract and headed straight for the manager's office.
***
"What? That pauper nailed the Royalty Hospital?"
Michael looked at the contract in astonishment. "How is that possible? Damn Robert! I bought him gifts and treated him to meals, but that square-toes just wouldn't sign. How could Noah do this so easily? I don't believe it!"
"It's indeed hard to believe, but Robert's signature and stamp can't be faked," Mia said.
"That pauper really is lucky!" Michael clenched his teeth.
"I agree." Mia said, "Your great efforts before laid the groundwork for him. That's why he could get the contract signed so easily."
"Right." Michael nodded. He didn't believe that Noah, a newcomer, could sign a contract on his first sales run. Obviously, his efforts before had made Robert almost agree, and Noah was just lucky to catch the right moment.
"Michael, what should we do next?" Mia said, "Noah is a newcomer but already signed a contract. If we target him as before, it might dishearten the other employees."
"You're right. We can't let Noah delay the development of our company." Michael nodded. Then, with a flash in his eyes, he took out a dusty car key from the corner of the drawer and handed it to Mia.
"Give this key to Noah. He was late today, right? I'll give him a Mazda to commute." Michael chuckled slyly, "The car was bought three years ago and has been parked downstairs for several months. It still works although the brake is not very responsive. It's a reward for him.
"Anyways, for now, let's not tell Noah that I'm the general manager. We still have lots of time to trick him!"
"Okay!" Mia was excited, taking the key and exiting the office.
Meanwhile, Noah was on the phone.
"Noah, the medicine has arrived. Where are you? I'll bring it to you." It was Isabella.
"Bring it to my company and wait for me downstairs. I'll send you the location," Noah said.
"Okay!"
After hanging up, Noah sent the location to Isabella.
He was somewhat looking forward to it. With the family medicine, he could solve his potency problem and fulfill his marital duties with Lisa.
Half an hour later, Noah looked out the window. Downstairs, a black Rolls-Royce slowly approached, drawing the attention of many pedestrians.
