Chapter 66 Two Choices

The security guard recognized Ivan. He worked as an investment consultant at Noah Capital and had a promising future at the company. He might even possibly become an investment manager.

So, Ivan had to be treated with respect.

"Look at this guy, he’s wearing shorts and sandals. Do you think someone like him could be from our company?" Ivan pointed at Noah, speaking with disdain. "You need to kick him out immediately! If clients see someone like him coming in and out of our company, it will have a seriously negative impact."

The security guard nodded, instantly understanding, and looked at Noah.

"Sir, Noah Capital does not welcome anyone who is not well dressed, so please leave now," the security guard said.

"What if I don't leave?" Noah smirked.

"If you don't leave, we’ll have to force you out," the security guard replied.

The security guard's gaze turned cold, and he waved his hand, signaling four or five more guards to come over and surround Noah.

Ivan crossed his arms and watched the scene, mocking him.

"Hmph, you dare to challenge me? You're asking for trouble!

"It doesn't matter how strong you are. Can you fight off six people by yourself?"

"Sir, we remind you one last time, please leave, or we’ll get physical." The security guard clenched his fist tightly, staring at Noah with an unfriendly gaze.

"What's going on?" said a surprised voice.

A man in a silk suit with a square face walked over.

"Mr. Samuel!"

"Samuel!"

"Good afternoon, CEO!"

The guards, including Ivan, stepped back and bowed their heads respectfully.

Ivan showed the most profound respect among them.

He knew Samuel's position at Noah Capital. He was the regional CEO of Eagleland, a top-level executive, a goal that Ivan could only hope to achieve in twenty years.

These two people were not even close to being on the same level. One was high up, while the other was just a lower-level employee with a promising future.

"What's going on, Noah?" Samuel asked, walking straight to Noah without even looking at the others.

"These people were trying to kick me out." Noah glanced at the guards and shrugged nonchalantly.

Samuel's face changed slightly, turning somewhat pale.

The guards at Noah Capital wanted to kick Noah out?

This was outrageous!

They must know that their salaries were paid by The Anderson Family!

This building also belonged to Noah!

"Are you all blind?" Samuel coldly reprimanded the guards, "You dare to kick Noah out? Starting from tomorrow, don't bother coming to work. Go submit your resignation now!"

"Huh?" The guards were all dumbfounded. They hadn’t expected that Samuel would fire them with just one sentence.

"Please reconsider, Samuel!" someone immediately begged, "My entire family relies on me. If I lose this job, how will I survive?"

"Yes, Samuel, please reconsider!" Another person pleaded, "Please show mercy. Whether we stay or leave should be up to Noah."

"Noah!" The guard suddenly knelt in front of Noah with a "thump."

"You’re a generous person. Please don't bother with me, I’m just a lowly security guard."

He may be stupid, but even he understood that the young man in a t-shirt and short was someone of considerable importance, since someone like Samuel was showing him so much respect.

"Alright, ignorance is bliss, let's just forget about this," Noah said casually.

"Just don't judge a book by its cover in the future."

"Yes, of course!"

The security guard nodded repeatedly, feeling that Noah's words held great wisdom.

Meanwhile, Ivan, who was standing by and watched it all unfold, was frozen.

His eyes widened in disbelief.

How was this possible?

Why was Samuel treating a worthless person with such respect?

And had he really tried to fire the company's security just for him?

After all, Noah couldn't even compare to a security guard!

Why on earth was this happening?

Ivan couldn't quite wrap his head around it.

Noah continued, "Samuel, has Noah Capital had any business dealings with the Desert Continent recently?"

"Yes, but only with some impoverished countries in the Desert Continent. We collaborate with their governments to invest in the country's infrastructure," Samuel replied.

Noah nodded. "This Ivan, the consultant here, suspected that I came from one of those impoverished countries in the Desert Continent. So, he should work there. What do you think?"

"Of course." Samuel nodded and glanced at Ivan.

He didn't know him. There were thousands of employees in the building, and he couldn't possibly know every one of them.

But the name badge on Ivan's chest indicated that he was an employee of Noah Capital.

"Ivan, I'll give you two choices," Samuel said. "First, I'll give you a project to work on in the Desert Continent, and your salary will be the same as what you get in Oceanbridge City."

"Second, you can submit your resignation now and leave."

Samuel couldn't be bothered to ask if Ivan had any conflicts with Noah. He would follow any of Noah's commands without question.

"Samuel..."

When Ivan heard that, he felt as if he had been struck by lightning. His body twitched and he almost fell to the ground.

Ivan's pride didn't lie in his education or wealth, but in his job.

Noah Capital was one of the top fifty investment companies in the world!

Anyone who heard where he worked would instantly look up to him.
