Chapter 113 The Feeling of Power

"Daniel, I think Noah did the right thing. They kept pushing him, and you were being too weak," Luna said angrily.

Daniel's face froze, "You don't understand, Luna. There were so many of them, you can’t win if you confront them head-on. In the end, you'll only bring trouble upon yourself. You're still young and don't understand much. Your old man is experienced in the ways of society!

"You watch, when Noah comes out later, he'll definitely be humiliated. Even if he’s not dead, he'll be seriously injured."

Daniel continued, "And he dared to defy me! Does he think he's a rich second-generation tycoon just because he bought a villa?"

...

Inside the restaurant.

At this moment, Noah was surrounded by seven or eight big men.

Each one of them stared at Noah with a menacing expression.

"You want to play the hero and meddle in other people's business, kid?" said the big man named Gary. His face was covered in blood and he tapped the beer bottle in his palm with a fierce grin.

"Do you know that I work for Nathan?"

"Enough talking, Gary, just bust his head open!"

"Kill him!"

The other big men shouted.

Noah remained calm.

"You're still trying to act cool at a time like this? Give me a break!"

Gary became furious when he saw Noah's expression. He lifted the beer bottle and swung it fiercely toward Noah's head.

That was when Noah made his move.

He swung his right foot forward with lightning speed!

The kick was powerful, like a cannonball.

Bang!

Gary didn't even touch Noah. He was sent flying, crashing into the dining table.

The table shattered!

He fell heavily onto the ground.

"It hurts... it hurts so much!"

Gary clutched his stomach, feeling his intestines twisted together, bones all over his body aching as if they were falling apart.

His stomach churned, and he vomited, the pungent smell filling the air.

"Huh?"

"What just happened?"

"I didn't even see it!"

The remaining seven or eight big men were dumbfounded.

They hadn't seen what Noah had done, they had just seen Gary being defeated.

"Kid! Show us what you've got!"

"Let's all attack!"

"I don't believe he can take on all of us!"

The big men shouted, grabbing chairs, stools, and beer bottles, charging at Noah.

Noah's expression remained unchanged as he kicked forward with his legs.

Suddenly, there were several afterimages of Noah's feet in the air.

Dull thuds resounded.

Those big men had charged at Noah just like Gary, but they were sent flying and crashed heavily onto the ground without even being able to touch him.

"Ouch, it hurts so much!"

"My waist!"

"Argh!"

In an instant, the entire restaurant was a mess—a shattered table, fallen chairs and stools, filled with howls of pain.

"You're really asking for death, kid! You dare to fight us?"

Gary struggled to stand up from the ground, glaring fiercely at Noah, but deep down, he was terrified.

The boy's skills were terrifying!

"We work for Nathan. If you hit us, Nathan will chop off your hands!"

"Quick, go tell Nathan about this!" someone shouted.

"I'm going now!" Gary held his stomach and ran toward the private room on the second floor.

Meanwhile, inside a private room on the second floor.

Two people sat face to face, a hotpot on the table emitting steam and fragrance. A bottle of Lafite was placed at the edge of the table.

On one side sat a young man with a crewcut, wearing a Louis Vuitton shirt and a Rolex watch on his wrist. He looked sophisticated and wealthy.

This young man was Ethan.

Sitting across from Ethan was a big man in his thirties, with a dark complexion and a snake tattoo on his arm.

"Wow, this wine is really good!"

Ethan picked up his glass and took a sip, his face filled with admiration. "I've never had such delicious wine before. It has a strong aroma and a lingering aftertaste."

After speaking, Ethan picked up his fork and took a piece of lamb, chewing it happily.

"Ethan, you have great taste!"

The big man across from him gave Ethan a thumbs up, his face filled with flattery.

"This is Penfolds Ampoule that’s been aged for over thirty years, and it costs over ten thousand dollars per bottle. I brought especially for you, Ethan!"

The big man's name was Nathan, and he came from a gangster background. He had three or four dozen underlings. In his younger years, he ran a gaming arcade and made a small fortune, then later opened a small gambling den.

However, in recent years, the crackdown on crime had become stricter, and he was forced to close his gambling den.

Nathan was also smart. He knew that he couldn’t last long as a small-time gangster. He wanted to "whitewash" himself and, so he set his sights on Ethan, the boss of the poverty-stricken area.

Ethan wasn't just the boss of the poverty-stricken area. He was also in charge of the transformation and relocation compensation work for the entire area.

If he could please Ethan and get him to assign some of that work to him, it would a dream come true.

His identity and background be completely whitewashed, and he could also claim to be working for the government, which would earn him a lot of respect!

So, Nathan had to find a way to please Ethan.

"Ethan, here, have some more meat."

Nathan served Ethan a dish, still wearing a flattering smile. "After we finish eating and drinking, let's go for a stroll on Serenity Street. It's rumored that some new goods have arrived. They’re young and beautiful and just hit the market. They're as fresh as can be!"

Ethan's eyes lit up, and he licked his lips. "Really? Let's go look after we finish eating!"

"Alright! Let's go after we finish eating!" Nathan smiled, but his tone suddenly became hesitant.

"Well, Ethan, about the transformation and relocation compensation work for the poverty-stricken area..."

"I know what you're thinking!" Ethan said nonchalantly. "Don't worry, you've done so much for me, and I'm not an ungrateful person! I'll give you a share of the profits from the transformation and relocation compensation work. We're friends, let's make money together! We'll chase after girls together, eat hot pot together, and drive luxury cars together!"

"Really? Thank you, Ethan!" Nathan expressed his gratitude.

Nathan's eyes lit up, and he knelt excitedly in front of Ethan, continuously knocking his head on the ground.

"Hahaha, you’re being too courteous,Nathan!"

Ethan laughed heartily but did not stop him.

He thoroughly enjoyed this feeling.

He relished the power he held.

He was in charge of the entire compensation work for the poverty-stricken area, with billions of dollars in compensation alone. Whoever wanted a share of the profits naturally had to please Ethan.

"Ethan, this is what I deserve!" Nathan knocked his head on the ground a few more times.

"Haha, get up!"

Ethan patted Nathan's shoulder and smiled.

"Stick with me, and within a month, you can buy a top-of-the-line A4, just like the one I have. If I weren't worried about being too ostentatious, I would have switched to a Range Rover already!"

"Ethan, don't worry, from now on, I'll be with you all the way!" Nathan got up and said earnestly.

"Nathan, something's not right!"

Suddenly, there was a panicked voice from outside the private room.
