Chapter 237 Intense Battle

Bullets zipped through the air, aimed straight at Noah.

The situation escalated fast, leaving Ethan and his two goons frozen in shock.

They never expected Bob, who should've been out cold, to wake up.

Even more surprising was Lucas, who acted so ruthlessly, ordering his men to shoot the moment he sensed something was off.

Noah's face darkened. Seeing the bodyguards raise their guns, he reacted quickly, grabbing Bob and pulling him in front of himself.

In the next moment, blood splattered as bullets tore through Bob's chest.

Bob's body convulsed, blood spilling from his mouth.

In an instant, Bob was riddled with bullet holes, his chest a bloody mess.

"Lu... Lucas," Bob gasped, eyes wide with disbelief.

He couldn't believe he was dying at Lucas's hands.

Meanwhile, Noah sprang into action.

"Go!" he shouted, his voice echoing through the room.

Ethan and his two goons snapped out of their daze, drawing their guns and aiming at Lucas.

Lucas, a seasoned criminal, had seen it all. The moment he saw Bob get hit, he dove behind the couch and bolted for the exit.

Noah moved to follow, but a bodyguard blocked his path.

The bodyguard raised his gun, ready to shoot Noah.

But a bullet struck the bodyguard between the eyes, dropping him instantly.

It was Ethan who had fired the shot.

Noah's eyes darted to the exit, but Lucas was already gone.

The remaining bodyguards aimed at Noah and Ethan and shoot quickly.

Noah dove under the long table.

Bullets thudded into the table above him.

The women who had been serving drinks screamed and fled the room, their faces pale with fear.

Ethan scrambled for cover, shooting back as he moved.

The two groups were now locked in a deadly firefight.

Under the table, Noah picked up a fork.

He scanned the room, pinpointing the positions of the bodyguards. His muscles tensed, ready to pounce like a predator.

In the next moment, Noah stomped his foot, launching himself like a missile.

The dim lighting in the room made it hard for the bodyguards to track Noah.

Noah flung the forks with deadly precision.

Blood sprayed as the forks pierced the hands of several bodyguards, causing them to drop their guns.

The remaining bodyguards frantically searched for Noah.

But Noah moved like a ghost, appearing in one corner of the room, then on top of the table. The dim lighting worked to his advantage. By the time the bodyguards spotted him, he was already gone.

Three more thuds echoed, followed by screams and blood splatters.

The last three bodyguards dropped their guns, clutching their bleeding hands and howling in pain.

The room fell silent, save for the groans of the injured.

Noah flipped the light switch, flooding the room with brightness.

He surveyed the scene. Eight bodyguards in total, one dead, seven disarmed.

"You bastards, hands on your heads and get down, or I'll shoot!" Ethan barked, his face stern.

Blood oozed from a wound on his left shoulder as he roared. He was injured.

His heart pounded, adrenaline still coursing through him. They had been outnumbered, but Noah's swift and decisive actions had turned the tide.

The two lackeys gritted their teeth, enduring their own injuries.

One's left leg trembled uncontrollably, while the other had a bleeding stomach.

The seven bodyguards complied, hands on their heads, not daring to move.

Lucas had escaped, and resisting now seemed pointless.

"Turns out to be you, Ethan," one of the bodyguards sneered, "You're digging your own grave. Lucas will be back with reinforcements, and you'll all be dead. And with all this noise, others will come. You won't get out alive!"

"Others?" Ethan scoffed, "You think we came here unprepared?"

At that moment, the door burst open, and a dozen of Ethan's men poured in.

Outside, dozens more surrounded the room, making escape impossible.

The seven bodyguards on the floor were stunned.

Ethan had come prepared, bringing plenty of backup.

Before coming to the fourth floor, Ethan had sent a message, mobilizing his men.

"How's it going?" Ethan asked.

"We've secured the entire building," one of his men reported, "About forty people, including bodyguards, are under control. We had some scuffles, and five of our guys got hurt."

"Good," Ethan nodded, then his expression darkened, "But Lucas got away!"

His face twisted with frustration. Lucas escaping meant all their efforts and resources had been wasted.

"Mr. Anderson, what should we do now?" Ethan turned to Noah.

"Don't worry, he won't get far," Noah smiled. He had already made arrangements to prevent Lucas from escaping through the back.

Footsteps and laughter echoed from the hallway.

"Mr. Anderson, we got him!" Jack announced, dragging a bound and gagged Lucas into the room and throwing him at Noah's feet.
