Chapter 237: Fierce Battle

Bullet after bullet pierced through the air, shooting towards Noah.

The situation happened very suddenly, and Ethan and the two henchmen were dumbfounded, standing still in shock.

They never expected that Alexander, who should have been unconscious, would actually wake up.

Even more unexpected was Edward's ruthless action. As soon as he sensed something was wrong, he immediately ordered someone to shoot.

Noah's expression darkened slightly. Seeing the bodyguards raising their guns, he quickly reacted, reaching out and firmly grabbing Alexander's shoulder, using him as a shield.

The next moment, blood splattered in Alexander's chest.

His body kept trembling and convulsing, fresh blood flowed out of his mouth.

In an instant, Alexander's body was riddled with bullet holes, blood pouring out through dense clusters of wounds in his chest.

  "Lucas..."

Alexander stared at Edward with wide eyes, unable to believe it.

He couldn't believe that he had actually died by Edward's hand.

And at this moment, Noah had already taken action.

  "Charge!"

He bellowed angrily, his voice echoing in the private room.

Then, he transformed into a dark shadow and pounced towards Edward.

Ethan and his two henchmen suddenly regained their senses and pulled out their pistols, aiming them at Edward and pulling the trigger!

Edward had been through many hardships and challenges in his life, weathering countless storms. When he saw the bullets hitting Alexander, he jumped up and ran towards the safety passage behind the sofa.

In the next moment, Noah appeared, but a bodyguard blocked his path.

The bodyguard had just raised his gun, ready to kill Noah.

But a bullet hit him in the forehead, creating a bloody hole.

The bodyguard's body went limp and fell to the ground.

It was Ethan who fired the shot.

Noah's gaze suddenly fell on the safety passage. Edward had already disappeared, running quickly.

Meanwhile, the remaining bodyguards opened fire at Noah, Ethan, and the others.

The sound of gunshots filled the air.

Noah rolled and darted under a long table, seeking cover.

Flames flashed as several bullets hit the table.

  "Someone's been killed!"

  "Run!"

Inside the private room, the several hostesses screamed in horror, pale-faced, and ran towards the exit.

Ethan also quickly sought cover and fired his gun while dodging.

The two groups engaged in a fierce gunfight.

Underneath the long table, Noah picked up a few disposable chopsticks from the ground.

His gaze shifted, locking onto the positions of the several bodyguards inside the private room. His muscles tensed and his nerves tightened. He arched his spine like a cheetah preparing to hunt.

  In the next moment!

The ground made a muffled noise as Noah stomped his right foot, and his entire body shot up like a cannonball.

His entire being turned into a strange black shadow, dazzling the eyes.

That was speed, reaching the extreme.

Coupled with the dim lighting in the private room, the bodyguards couldn't possibly lock onto Noah.

  Noah swung his right hand!

The chopsticks, under high speed, cut through the air, producing a piercing sound of wind as they shot forward.

Traveling at such high speeds, the chopsticks had turned into sharp arrows, sharp and bone-chilling.

Blood flashed as some of the bodyguards had their gun-holding hands pierced by the chopsticks. Their pistols fell to the ground.

  "Where is he?"

  "Where is he?"

  "Shoot him!"

The remaining bodyguards' faces changed dramatically as they desperately searched for Noah's location, their eyes frantically darting around.

But Noah was like a monkey, fast and agile. One moment he appeared in a corner, the next moment on top of the long table.

The lighting was already dim, and by the time they saw him and tried to shoot, Noah had already vanished from the spot.

Then, three more muffled sounds rang out, accompanied by blood splatters and cries of pain.

The last three bodyguards dropped their pistols to the ground, clutching their bleeding hands, and wailed in agony.

The private room suddenly fell silent, with only the sound of wailing echoing.

  ...

Noah pressed the switch, and the entire private room lit up brightly. As he looked around, he saw a total of eight bodyguards in the room, one dead and seven remaining, with all their weapons on the ground.

  "Don't move!"

"Nobody move! Crouch down and cover your heads, or I'll shoot!"

Ethan shouted loudly at the bodyguards, his face cold and stern.

Blood was oozing from his left shoulder; he had been injured.

His heart was pounding, filled with lingering fear. With four against eight bodyguards in a gunfight, the odds of winning were almost zero.

Fortunately, Noah had swiftly and decisively subdued these bodyguards. The longer it dragged on, the more trouble it would have caused.

The two henchmen he had brought with him clenched their teeth and endured the pain. One's left leg was trembling and twitching, while the other had blood oozing from his abdomen. Both of their faces were pale, indicating they were also injured.

In the fierce gunfight just now, getting injured was inevitable when bullets had no eyes. Thankfully, the injuries were not fatal, which was a lucky break.

All seven bodyguards crouched down, not daring to move.

Edward had already escaped; at this point, any resistance would be futile.

"Heh, I wondered who it was. Turns out, it's Ethan." One of the bodyguards looked up, recognized Ethan, and sneered coldly, as if he were looking at a dead man.

"You're digging your own graves. Lucas has run away, and he'll bring people back to kill you all. Not to mention the commotion you caused; others will definitely show up. There's no way you'll leave here alive!"

"Others?" Ethan sneered, his eyes filled with disdain. "I'm sorry, since we came here for Edward, we definitely didn't bring just a few people!"

  Boom!

The next moment, the door of the private room was pushed open, and Ethan's men walked in one by one. There were more than ten of them, all under Ethan's command.

Outside the door, there were dozens of them, surrounding the private room tightly.

Seeing these people, the seven bodyguards crouching on the ground were dumbfounded.

Obviously, Ethan had come well-prepared and brought a lot of people with him before arriving on the fourth floor. Ethan had already sent a message to have these people ready to take action.

"How did it go?" Ethan asked.

"All the henchmen and bodyguards in the bar have been controlled," one of Ethan's men replied. "There were over forty people in total, and some conflicts occurred. Five of our henchmen got injured."

"As long as no one died, it's good." Ethan nodded, his gaze flickering again. "By the way, Edward has run away!"

His face instantly turned dark. Edward had escaped, rendering all the manpower and effort wasted. What's even worse, it would be difficult to find Edward's whereabouts in the future.

"Noah, what about Edward..." Ethan looked at Noah.

"Don't worry, he won't get away."

Noah smiled and had previously arranged a backup plan to prevent Edward from escaping through the back door.

  Bang bang bang!

Footsteps could be heard, along with laughter:

  "Hahaha, Noah, I caught Edward!"

Jack walked over with a despicable person, accompanied by Edward who was tied up and thrown in front of Noah.

  Thump!

Edward winced in pain after the fall.
