Chapter 23 There Will Be a Car

"What? You're telling me to get out?"

Everyone present was dumbfounded, except Noah.

They couldn't believe that Noah actually told Christopher off.

"He's crazy! What is he thinking?!"

Joshua looked at Noah as if he were looking at a dead man. "With Christopher's power, he can crush Noah like squashing an ant! And yet, Noah dares to insult him!"

"Noah, have you lost your mind? How could you tell him to get out?" Evelyn looked at Noah as if she were looking at a fool.

"Noah..."

Lisa nervously grabbed Noah's hand, tugging it.

"Noah, first, you can't just tell Mr. Williams to leave. Secondly, you're just a salesman. Do you wanna buy all the items in this store with your meager salary? Can you even afford one piece of the clothes?" Joshua mocked.

"Sir, our store did an inventory check this morning. All the clothes together are worth 120 thousand and 5 hundred dollars. I'll round it down for you to 120 thousand dollars. Are you sure you can pay for them?"

The sales clerk looked at Noah with a snide smile.

"120 thousand dollars!"

Lisa gasped as that number was too much for her. It was absolutely impossible for Noah to pay for the clothes.

"Will you stop bluffing?" Standing next to Christopher, Chasity stared at Noah. "How dare you to tell Christopher to leave? Believe it or not. He can have you thrown into the Celestial Canopy River to feed the fish tonight.

"It's not too late to kneel and beg for forgiveness."

Chasity stood arrogantly. "You're crazy if you think you can have my dress. Have you ever looked yourself in a mirror, bumpkin? I don't believe that you have 120 thousand dollars.

"Hurry. Kneel and apologize!"

Christopher crossed his arms and watched with interest, not saying a word.

He had decided that if Noah didn't kneel and apologize, he would have him thrown into the river to feed the fish.

Noah remained calm and took out a No Preset Spending Limit Card, pointing at another clerk in the store.

"Here. Take my card."

"Me?" The sales clerk was startled.

This clerk was the only staff member who hadn't shown any disdain or mockery towards Noah earlier.

"Yes, you. The commission from the 120 thousand worth of clothes will all go to you," Noah said indifferently.

"Alright. Keep on acting!"

Joshua scoffed coldly, "The commission of 120 thousand? I'd be surprised if your bank card has 120 dollars! Kneel and apologize to Mr. Williams if you know what's best for you!"

"It's a..."

Recognizing Noah's card, Christopher jolted, his eyes filled with disbelief.

"Is this...a No Preset Spending Limit Card?!"

Christopher rubbed his eyes, thinking he had seen wrong.

He wondered, 'Why would this young man have this card?'

Christopher knew of such a card. The credit line of the card was 15 million dollars. But money wasn't the point. It was a symbol of status and position as the owner of the car had control over flights and trains. Christopher's father, Andrew, had once applied for this card, but he was declined.

Only people whose assets could influence the global economy were qualified to apply for the card.

Christopher thought, 'Is this man someone who can impact the global economy?'

The thought sent a chill down his spine with horror. Could he even afford to offend such a person?

At this moment, the sales clerk had walked over and taken Noah's card.

"Come on. Stop pretending to be a rich man! I bet your card is gonna fail to pay for the order," Chasity sneered with mockery.

A loud sound rang through the store.

A throbbing handprint appeared on Chasity's left cheek.

"Christopher, why did you slay me?" Chasity covered her face, her eyes wide, unable to believe that Christopher would suddenly strike her.

"You deserve it for not knowing when to shut up," Christopher scolded harshly. He added. "I'm not buying the dress. Let's go!"

Picking up Chasity's hand, he yanked her toward the door.

He looked as horrified as Joshua when he recognized Christopher.

"Why?! I'm waiting to see him make a fool of himself!" Chasity stubbornly refused to leave.

Christopher slapped her again.

"Are you coming with me or not? If not, I'm leaving without you!" Christopher said expressionlessly. He understood that if they stayed longer, he would be the one who made a fool of himself, not Noah.

"Sir, please enter your password," the clerk said, inserting the card and respectfully handing the POS machine to Noah.

The shop fell silent. All eyes were on Noah.

However, some were looking at him with mockery, some disdain, and some worry.

Noah calmly inputted his birthday as the password.

The machine started ringing.

Slowly, the receipt was printed from the POS machine.

The transaction was completed.

As the receipt was issued, one could hear a pin drop in the store.

After a moment, gasps of astonishment started to ring out one after the other.

"How is it possible? The transaction is successful?" Evelyn covered her mouth in disbelief.

"That's 120 thousand dollars. Why would a salesman have so much money?" Shocked, Joshua stared at Noah.

"Noah..."

Lisa looked at Noah and was at a loss for words. She suddenly felt that Noah had become someone she didn't know.

"Impossible! Absolutely impossible!" The sales clerk who had looked down on Noah couldn't believe it. "Did you put in a wrong number?"

She hurried over and snatched up the receipt. When she saw the number was correct, her expression changed dramatically.

"He actually paid 120 thousand dollars! How can this be!"

The sales clerk who had operated the POS machine was overjoyed. With an order of 120 thousand, she could get a commission of 10 thousand dollars. That was higher than her annual salary!

'So this is really his card?' Christopher thought and shot Noah a meaningful look. 'He's not someone I can mess with. Better leave as soon as possible.'

He swiftly turned around and left without a word.

"Christopher! Where are you going?" Chasity rushed out after him.

"Lisa, the clothes are all yours now." Noah stroked Lisa's hair gently.

"All those clothes are mine now..." Lisa glanced around the store. As she admired the dazzling clothes with all kinds of styles, her eyes lit up with excitement.

All women loved beautiful clothes.

"But Noah, some of these clothes aren't my sizes," Lisa said.

"Then we won't take them," Noah replied casually.

"Our store does not support returns. You won't get a refund!" the scornful sales clerk said immediately.

"I said we wouldn't take them. Don't you understand?" Noah glanced at the sales clerk before turning to the other one. "Hey, help my sweetheart with the sizing. Package everything that fits her and send it to my house. As for those that don't fit, dispose of them however you wish."

The sales clerk nodded repeatedly. Noah just bought everything they had. It was natural for them to accommodate such a simple request.

"So many clothes..."

As Noah had purchased all the clothes for Lisa, Evelyn suddenly felt envious of Lisa.

"However, if I had 120 thousand dollars, I'd rather use it on Pinnacle Wealth Management to pay for the debts." A gleam flashed in Evelyn's eyes. She realized that Lisa should've known that Noah had so much money.

Yet, Lisa didn't take the money to help the company. Evelyn was somewhat upset.
