Whenever Daniel called her out for a meal, it usually meant trouble.
"I'm not the one buying this time, your uncle is. His son passed the civil service exam and got a job at the Health Bureau, so he wants to celebrate with a big family dinner at the Jade Lake Villa." "Here's a toast to you, Jake!"

"Daniel, it's a blessing you found a son-in-law like this! He understands filial piety and manners! Compared to that Noah, who's useless, it's like heaven and earth!"
