Chapter 400 So, Get Lost!
Upon hearing those words, Cameron's face went as white as a sheet. His company, Celestial Peak Real Estate, had tons of projects tied up with Ulysses' ventures.
If their partnership ended, Ulysses might lose a couple million, but Cameron would be looking at losses close to a hundred million!
"Mr. Simmons, starting today, we're cutting all ties with Celestial Peak Real Estate!"
"Cameron, you owe us a hundred million in project fees. Pay up within a month, or we'll see you in court!"
"Cameron, our collaboration on the Emerald City project is off for now!"
As soon as Ulysses finished, the other real estate big shots started piling on, demanding payments or canceling deals. Each word hit Cameron like a sledgehammer, knocking the wind out of him.
At first, Cameron's face showed shock and pain, his heart pounding. Gradually, he turned ghostly white, his breathing became erratic, and finally, he looked utterly defeated, his eyes filled with despair.
His legs gave out, and he crumpled to the floor, staring blankly ahead. 'It's over. Celestial Peak Real Estate is done for.'
'All the real estate giants of Silverlight City are here. With them all against me, how can my company survive? Today marks the end of Celestial Peak Real Estate! It will disappear from Silverlight City forever!'
'This is exactly what Noah said!'
"Cameron, how could you be so stupid to offend Mr. Anderson! You wouldn't let Mr. Anderson's Evergreen Market open in Silverlight City!" Ulysses glared at Cameron and scolded him harshly.
"And that's not all; you almost dragged us down with you! You deserve this! If it weren't for Mr. Anderson's generosity, we'd be in deep trouble today!"
"That's right, Cameron, you were incredibly short-sighted to offend Mr. Anderson!"
"Your Celestial Peak Real Estate doesn't deserve to be in Silverlight City! Get out!"
"I know for a fact that your company has been cooking the books. You're nothing but a corrupt entity, evading taxes!"
The other real estate moguls continued to berate Cameron. At this moment, everyone was targeting him.
Businessmen are driven by profit, and taking down Celestial Peak Real Estate would benefit them greatly.
The first advantage, of course, was gaining Noah's favor, which could lead to more benefits from Daryl. Secondly, with Celestial Peak Real Estate bankrupt, these real estate giants could easily divide up Cameron's remaining assets.
These people were seasoned veterans of the business world, having fought for years. On the surface, they appeared harmonious, but in reality, they were all driven by self-interest.
When there was profit to be made, they turned into ravenous wolves, mercilessly devouring each other's gains.
"It's over, really over." Cameron muttered, his body trembling uncontrollably, filled with regret.
Why? Why did he have to offend Noah?
Why did he have the audacity to try to assault Noah's subordinate?
Why didn't he just sign the contract that day at the Radiant Pearl Hotel?
Cameron was filled with remorse and self-blame, raising his hand to slap himself hard across the face.
His gaze fell on Noah, and he crawled to Noah's feet. "Mr. Anderson! Please, have mercy! Don't hold this against me!"
Cameron pleaded desperately, "I said you didn't know how to respect those above you, but now I get it, you're way out of my league!"
Cameron knelt on the ground and began to kowtow.
Crying and begging, he continued, "Mr. Anderson, I'm begging you! Please, spare me! I rely on Celestial Peak Real Estate to make a living. If it goes bankrupt, how will I repay those bank debts?"
"
Blood began to seep from Cameron's forehead, mixing with his tears of regret.
"I gave you a chance, but you didn't take it. You can't blame me for being ruthless." Noah glanced at Cameron and said calmly, "So, get lost."
Cameron's eyes widened, and he began to wail, "Mr. Anderson, please, give me another chance! I'm begging you!"
"What's all this noise? Someone, get Mr. Simmons out of here! His loud voice is disturbing Mr. Anderson's peace!" Daryl barked coldly.
Immediately, two tall bodyguards entered the room and dragged Cameron out.
"Mr. Anderson! Please, give me another chance! Don't let Celestial Peak Real Estate go bankrupt!" Cameron shouted, struggling in vain, his voice growing fainter.
"This Cameron is truly blind, daring to offend Mr. Anderson. He brought this upon himself!" Ulysses snorted, then raised his glass with a smile.
"Mr. Anderson, I toast to you! If you ever need anything, just let me know!"
Seeing his boss being so respectful to Noah, Larry couldn't help but roll his eyes, feeling disdain. 'Respectable? He's just a lackey! If it weren't for Bodhi, Noah would be a nobody! How could he have what he has today!'
"A lackey acting so arrogant, he'll fall eventually, and when he does, he'll have nowhere to cry!"
After several rounds of drinks, the Evergreen Market matter was settled, and Noah headed home.
Daryl took a moment to visit the restroom. After finishing up, Daryl washed his hands and prepared to leave.
"Mr. Fields!" Larry appeared, smiling obsequiously, holding a paper towel and bending over to hand it to Daryl, "About what I mentioned earlier..."
Daryl took the paper towel, glanced at Larry, and wiped his hands, saying indifferently, "Report to my Silverlight City branch tomorrow."
With that, he walked towards the door.
'No matter what, Larry is still Mr. Anderson's relative. I know they don't get along, but to what extent, I'm not sure.' As he walked, Daryl thought to himself.
'Mr. Anderson told me to handle it as I see fit. For Mr. Anderson's sake, I'll take Larry in, to avoid any anger from Mr. Anderson.'
"Thank you, Mr. Fields! I'll be there tomorrow!" Larry was overjoyed, trembling with excitement, his eyes shining.
So, the real estate giant Daryl was willing to take him in!
"Noah! You worthless piece of trash, relying on your words to cling to Bodhi, it won't last!" Larry clenched his fists, filled with anticipation for the future.
"But I have skills and talent. Under Daryl, I'll surely make a name for myself, and one day, I'll crush you beneath my feet!"
"I owe it all to my idol, Rolls-Royce Guy. He gave me the courage to rise during the darkest moments of my life!"
"When I get home, I'll watch those Rolls-Royce Guy videos again!"
