Chapter 340 Truly Retribution!
The burly man was stunned, his heart pounding with surprise. Could this Noah really be Ethan's boss?
"You know me?" Noah asked, curious about the man's reaction.
"Noah, you might not remember, but we met in the third reception room at The Luca Mansion that day," the man said with a strained smile.
Noah studied the man and finally recalled. "Oh, right. That was you."
"Yeah, it's me. But I never thought the 'Noah' Ethan told me to protect would be you," the man said, respect evident in his eyes.
They were all top members of the Respect Noah Pavilion, following Ethan's orders. But now, they only took orders from Noah.
"Ethan must've told you why you're here," Noah said.
"Yes, Noah. Ethan told us to come to Oceanbridge City and follow your orders, making sure you're safe," the man replied.
Noah nodded. "Introduce yourselves."
"Noah, we gave up our names when we joined the Respect Noah Pavilion. We go by code names. The four of us are East, South, West, and North. You can call me East," the man said.
"Noah, I'm South."
"I'm West."
"North."
Noah nodded, noting South's earring on his left ear and his broad shoulders. West had a thin scar near his eye, barely noticeable unless you looked closely. North had a quiet, reserved demeanor.
After memorizing their appearances and code names, Noah said, "Follow me back. When the time is right, I'll give you your tasks."
"Yes, sir!"
Noah got into his car, driving the Buick towards the Hilton.
At the hotel, Noah booked another presidential suite for the four of them for a month. After settling them in, he finally went to his room to sleep.
The night passed without incident.
In the morning, Noah woke up and looked in the mirror. His face was still sore, red, and slightly swollen, as if it was inflamed. He had been beaten by Liam the previous day, causing his face to swell up. It was already much better now, but it was still obvious he had been in a fight, affecting his appearance.
'After breakfast, I'll go to the pharmacy for some anti-inflammatory medication,' Noah thought, cursing Liam in his mind as he lifted his shirt. The scabs on his stomach were starting to fall off, revealing scars. Clearly, his stomach wounds were healing.
After breakfast, he and Clementine headed to Silverline Square. On the way, Noah bought a box of anti-inflammatory pills and a tube of ointment from a pharmacy.
At Silverline Square, they entered the meeting room. According to the management rules, they had a morning meeting every other day.
Noah arrived early, before the other teachers. He poured himself a glass of water, took two anti-inflammatory pills, and applied some ointment to his face, feeling the pain lessen.
Footsteps approached.
Kurt, Audrey, and the other teachers entered, chatting as they walked.
"Did you see it? That GMC is parked downstairs again, in the same spot as yesterday!" Audrey's eyes sparkled as she adjusted her glasses, her heart racing. "It's very likely the owner works here at Silverline Square!"
"Yeah, coming this early, they must be an employee!"
"No way, a GMC like that is driven by a boss!"
The other teachers buzzed with curiosity about the GMC's owner.
"After work, I want to wait by that GMC and see what kind of man drives it," Audrey said, blushing. "If he's handsome, I'll go after him!"
"You're smitten!"
"Who wouldn't be interested in a wealthy man like that?"
"Yeah, even I'm interested. Just don't compete with me for him!"
Kurt, listening nearby, frowned, feeling very annoyed. Since returning from the Eyfel Hotel last night, the female teachers had been obsessing over the GMC's owner, which irritated him. They hadn't even seen the person, yet they were acting like infatuated fools. If they met him, they might throw themselves at him.
'I shouldn't have told them that car was worth a million. Let them think it was a van,' Kurt thought angrily. The female teachers used to flock around him, but now they were all focused on the GMC owner. He had no outlet for his frustration, so he kept it bottled up.
"Noah?" Kurt's eyes lit up as he saw Noah sitting there. More importantly, there was a box of anti-inflammatory pills and ointment in front of him. Kurt couldn't help but laugh. "Noah, you're injured! You must have been beaten up for not paying your bill last night!"
Hearing this, the female teachers looked over.
"He really is injured!"
"Look at his face, it's all swollen!"
"Really? I didn't notice when we left last night!"
The female teachers looked at Noah in surprise.
Kurt thought for a moment and said, "I guess Noah got beaten up after we left."
Audrey sneered. "He was so arrogant last night, saying he didn't need to pay. Now he's been beaten up. Serves him right!"
"Deserved it!"
The female teachers mocked him.
"Noah, does it hurt?" Kurt walked over, his tone mocking. "Last night, I offered to lend you money, but you didn't take it. Now you're beaten up. It's your own fault!"
"Are you done?" Noah glared at Kurt. "If you're done, let's start the meeting. I have a class."
"Are you angry?"
"Annoyed by our comments?"
"We should stop. Noah is stingy. He must be holding a grudge."
"Yeah, let's not provoke him. A petty person seeking revenge is the worst."
The teachers whispered among themselves.
Kurt, however, smiled confidently. Noah's reputation among his colleagues was already ruined. He believed it wouldn't be long before Noah quit on his own. Then, he would be the only male teacher at the punk guitar school.
Even if Noah didn't quit, Kurt had ways to force him out.
The meeting began.
After the meeting, Noah ignored the other teachers and went to his class.
