Chapter 375 North's Death

In the next moment, Noah's hand clamped down on Jesse's wrist with a fierce grip. A surge of immense force rushed towards it. Jesse's brow furrowed, and his entire hand slipped out of Noah's grasp like a slippery eel.

Noah was taken aback. Jesse's skills were impressive; he was clearly well-trained. At that moment, the surrounding thugs raised their guns and pulled the triggers.

East and his three companions swiftly dove under the gambling table, each drawing two black pistols to return fire. The room echoed with the sound of gunfire, and flashes of light burst forth.

Noah also dove under the table, a bullet grazing his cheek, leaving a burning, red mark. No matter how skilled, even Noah couldn't withstand bullets, especially not from a dozen guns.

"Take out these underlings first, then deal with Jesse!" Noah shouted. He had already noted that the room was sealed, and the only way out was through the door. The forty men from Respect Noah Pavilion had already entered the underground casino.

"Got it, Noah!" East nodded, peeking out to fire two shots before ducking back. Two thugs were hit in the abdomen and fell to the ground.

Meanwhile, outside the room in the underground casino, the guards heard the gunfire from Jesse's room and their faces changed. "What's going on? There's gunfire in Jesse's room!" They started moving towards the room.

A gunshot rang out. One of the guards took a step forward, and a bullet drilled into his forehead. Blood splattered, and he collapsed, motionless.

"There's more of them!" The guards turned towards the entrance, seeing a group of men in sunglasses quickly descending, each holding a gun.

Gunfire erupted. "Nobody move!!" A bearded man fired a shot into the air, then pointed his gun at the crowd, exuding a murderous aura. It was Bodhi.

On the way over, Noah had notified Bodhi to bring the forty men from Respect Noah Pavilion and take command.

The Respect Noah Pavilion men raised their guns in unison, ready to fire at the slightest movement. The gambling patrons, terrified, crouched down with their heads in their hands, not wanting any part of the shootout. These were ruthless killers.

"There's more of them!" The guards opened fire without hesitation, engaging in a fierce gunfight with the Respect Noah Pavilion men.

Noah heard the intense gunfire outside the room. 'Looks like Bodhi and the others are here,' he thought, dodging bullets with his body tense.

Around him, a dozen armed thugs had them surrounded. Without cover, Noah would have been seriously injured by now. East and the others were not as skilled as Noah and were already wounded.

"Hold on! Bodhi will be here soon!" Noah shouted, moving swiftly.

"Yes, Noah!" East responded, gritting his teeth against the pain from the blood gushing from his left arm.

South had been shot in the abdomen and lay motionless on the ground.

"Hurry up, take 'em out!" Jesse yelled, his voice tinged with panic. He could hear the gunfire outside and knew Noah had backup. He needed to finish this fast.

The gunfire in the room intensified. West took a hit in the shoulder, blood spraying everywhere. "Damn it!" he cursed, firing back with his other hand. He managed to drop a thug, but then his other hand got hit too.

Noah fired off a few rounds, taking down four thugs. He was skilled enough to protect himself using cover, but keeping East and the others safe was a different story.

"Noah, I didn't expect you to be the one the Murphy family is after!" Jesse laughed, firing his gun. "Killing you here would be a huge win! Mr. Murphy will reward me big time, and my status in the underworld will skyrocket!"

"Your men are all banged up. Let's see where you can run now!" Jesse taunted, firing three bullets at Noah. Noah's eyes widened as he dodged quickly, but one bullet was headed straight for his head. His hair stood on end; he was out of strength and couldn't dodge. If it hit, he was done for.

"Noah!" A shout came, and Noah felt a sharp pain as he was knocked aside. It was North. The bullet hit North's right chest.

Blood sprayed, and North's face turned pale as he fell. "North!" Noah's eyes reddened. A chest wound was fatal, hitting the heart or lungs. The chance of survival was nearly zero.

"North!" East and the others shouted.

"North, you didn't have to take that bullet for me!" Noah rushed forward, holding North's neck, his eyes wet, pressing on the wound, trying to stop the bleeding.

"Noah," North's voice trembled, "coming to Silverlight City, I understood why we're called Respect Noah Pavilion. Everything we do is for you. My life is yours, so I just did my job..."

Before he could finish, North fell silent.

"North," Noah choked, his body radiating a murderous intent. He had expected injuries, but not death. North, usually silent and focused, had given his life to save Noah.

"North, don't worry. I will avenge you, and I'll take care of your family," Noah said, closing North's eyes, feeling guilt and remorse. He had thought money could solve many problems, but in the face of death, everyone was equal.

"Noah! Your men are three injured, one dead. What do you have left to fight me with?" Jesse laughed maniacally. He hadn't had such a thrilling fight in a long time.

'Bodhi, if you don't get here soon, we're all going to die,' Noah thought, looking around. Seven or eight thugs remained, unscathed. They were outnumbered.

'But I'll take someone down with me,' Noah thought, eyeing Jesse, ready to pounce like a hunting leopard. Killing Jesse at the cost of his own life wouldn't be hard.

"Kill them all!" Jesse shouted, aiming his gun at Noah once again.
