Chapter 393 Academy Ruins

"Forget about Oceanbridge City. Noah's in Silverlight City now. You can fly straight to Silverlight City Airport," the woman said.

"Got it, I'll handle it right away," Xavier nodded.

Eagleland, Silverlight City, Oasis Villa.

Sunlight streamed in as Noah woke up.

"Honey, breakfast's ready!" Lisa called out, pushing open the door.

She was wearing a white nightgown with an apron tied around her waist, smiling warmly at Noah.

"Coming," Noah smiled back, rubbing his sleepy eyes as he got up to join Lisa for breakfast.

He cherished these moments with Lisa.

Breakfast was simple: a fried egg pancake and a glass of milk.

After finishing breakfast, Noah wiped his mouth and smiled at Lisa.

"Sweetheart, since you just got to Silverlight City, how about we go sightseeing today?"

"Sounds great!" Lisa nodded enthusiastically. "Let's check out the Academy Ruins. It's close by, and there are plenty of food stalls there."

"Perfect!" Noah agreed.

Suddenly, Noah's phone rang.

"I need to take this call," Noah said to Lisa, picking up his phone.

"Mr. Anderson, it's Aurelia." Aurelia's voice came through.

"Awake already?" Noah chuckled, remembering how drunk Aurelia had been last night. He had expected her to sleep until noon.

"I've been up for a while," Aurelia replied. "But my head is still a bit foggy. Mr. Anderson, I just got some news."

Aurelia got straight to the point.

"The news came from Cameron last night. All the real estate giants in Silverlight City have refused to let our Evergreen Market open branches in their buildings and communities. I had agreements with several real estate owners, but this morning, they all rejected us."

"What should we do now?" Aurelia's voice was anxious.

All the necessary procedures with the business and fire departments had been completed, leaving only the final step of selecting locations. If they were all rejected, her efforts over the past few days would be wasted.

More importantly, she was powerless to change the situation.

"I understand. I'll handle it," Noah said.

"Mr. Anderson, I think we need to appeal to Cameron. It's clear he's behind the real estate giants' refusal to let us open branches. Only by convincing him to retract this decision can we proceed," Aurelia suggested.

"Alright, just wait for my update," Noah replied, his voice a bit cold.

"Okay!" Aurelia didn't say more. Since Noah said he would handle it, she trusted he would.

"How's the investigation into the Harris family's environmental equipment going?" Noah asked.

"I've been keeping an eye on it. Yesterday, Bodhi visited the industrial park to observe the installation and use of the equipment. He recorded the models and seller information and informed me," Aurelia explained.

"After sobering up this morning, the first thing I did was investigate the prices of this equipment. My rough estimate is that the equipment is worth around ten billion dollars."

"So, not twenty billion at all?" Noah's eyes narrowed.

"Definitely not. The price fluctuates around ten billion dollars," Aurelia confirmed.

"Got it," Noah nodded. It seemed his suspicion was correct. Nathaniel had indeed inflated the price of the environmental equipment to reclaim shares from the smaller shareholders.

But he hadn't expected Nathaniel's ambition to be so vast, doubling the price.

In the end, the Harris family spent only one billion dollars to buy equipment worth ten.

Noah, on the other hand, had spent nine billion dollars.

Although Noah had acquired shares, the Harris family still held the majority of shares in the factories, retaining decision-making power over their development.

"You've been working hard these past few days. Take a break. I'll handle the rest," Noah said.

"Thank you, but Mr. Anderson, if you need my help, please let me know. I can't stand being idle!" Aurelia responded immediately.

"Okay," Noah chuckled, chatted a bit more, and then hung up.

He opened WhatsApp and found the contact "Daryl Fields."

[How long until you arrive in Silverlight City?] Noah sent the message.

Last night, after leaving Radiant Pearl Hotel, Noah had called Daryl.

Daryl was currently the biggest real estate mogul in Oceanbridge City, a true industry king.

Noah didn't mind bringing Daryl from Oceanbridge City to Silverlight City to stir things up in the real estate market.

To deal with Cameron, it was best to use someone from the same industry.

[Almost there, Mr. Anderson. I'm having my finance team calculate the company's assets. Once that's done, I'll head to Silverlight City. I should arrive tonight,] Daryl replied shortly after.

[Coincidentally, there's a real estate conference in Silverlight City tomorrow. I'll attend it. I've also informed my real estate friends in Silverlight City about my plans to enter the market.]

[Good,] Noah replied, putting his phone back in his pocket.

"Honey, is something wrong?" Lisa asked, concerned. She had noticed Noah's cold expression earlier.

"Nothing special. Let's go out and have some fun," Noah said, patting Lisa's head and smiling.

After a quick tidy-up, Noah drove Lisa to the Academy Ruins.

The Academy Ruins, a famous tourist spot in Silverlight City, was bustling with visitors. Vendors were everywhere, and the air was filled with the sounds of people hawking their wares.

Lisa turned into a curious little girl, pulling Noah's hand and excitedly exploring everything.

Noah smiled, following closely behind Lisa as they wandered around.

Lisa, being very beautiful, attracted quite a bit of attention.

"Wow, she's gorgeous!"

"She's stunning, but the guy with her is pretty average."

Three young men had their eyes on Lisa, whispering among themselves.

"Do you dare ask for her WhatsApp?"

"Why not? These days, asking a pretty girl for her WhatsApp is pretty common!"

"Yeah, let's go! I've been watching short videos and learned a trick to pick up girls. Let's try it out."

One of the young men stepped forward, blocking Lisa's path.

"Hey, do you know what I do for a living?" he asked, smiling at Lisa.

The young man, around twenty years old, wore a green military-style jacket and looked quite handsome.

Lisa paused, looking at the young man.

Though she felt a bit uncomfortable, she asked out of politeness, "What do you do?"

"I'm a thief," the young man said with a mysterious smile, trying to pique her interest.

Lisa nodded, not wanting to engage further, and pulled Noah to walk past him.
