Chapter 391 Kneel

"But so what if you have people under you? You're still gonna die!" Rhett sneered, his voice dripping with contempt. "I've seen your skills, Noah. They're impressive, but no matter how good you are, can you dodge a bullet?"

Rhett's thumb flicked off the safety on his gun.

"Last chance. Kneel, and I'll let this slide," Noah said calmly, his expression unchanged.

"Damn it! You're still so cocky at a time like this!" Rhett cursed, his finger tightening on the trigger, ready to fire.

Suddenly, footsteps echoed. A man came running. He was tall, about 5'9", with a dragon tattoo on his back, exuding an intimidating presence.

"Sidney?" Rhett's eyes widened.

Sidney Lawson was the boss of the Galaxy District in Silverlight City. The previous boss, Jesse, had been replaced by Sidney for reasons unknown. Rhett had hired Sidney's men to teach Noah a lesson, but he hadn't expected Sidney to show up in person.

"Mr. Lawson!" The twenty or so thugs scrambled to their feet, wincing in pain as they greeted him.

"Sidney, are you here for my money too?" Rhett chuckled. "The big boss of Galaxy District himself, showing me some respect!"

Sidney ignored Rhett, scanning the crowd until his eyes landed on Noah. His pupils dilated, and he approached Noah with a respectful bow. "Mr. Anderson, I apologize for being late!"

He noticed Rhett pointing a gun at Noah and swiftly disarmed him.

"Sidney! What the hell are you doing?" Rhett's face twisted in shock.

Sidney kept his eyes on Noah, his voice tense and respectful. "I just got word that someone had bribed my men to rough up a guy named Noah. I came as soon as I heard. I'm relieved to see you're unharmed, Mr. Anderson."

"This was a mistake on my part. However you wish to punish me, Mr. Anderson, I will accept it."

Rhett finally grasped the situation, his jaw dropping. Why was Sidney so respectful to Noah? It seemed Noah's status was far above Sidney's.

Rhett couldn't fathom the connection. Sidney was a major player, backed by the powerful Murphy family, who were on par with Rhett's own Harris family. Why was Sidney treating Noah with such deference?

Evelyn, standing nearby, was equally stunned, the scene unfolding before her beyond her comprehension.

"Unintentional mistakes can be forgiven. Your presence here shows you still respect me," Noah said, his face expressionless as he glanced at Sidney.

Sidney shivered under Noah's gaze, cold sweat forming on his forehead. He knew his family's lives were in Noah's hands, making him nothing more than a pawn. Compliance meant mutual benefit; defiance meant death for his entire family.

"Mr. Anderson, what should we do about Rhett?" Sidney asked, looking to Noah for guidance.

"You handle it," Noah replied with a faint smile.

Sidney nodded, his expression turning vicious as he grabbed Rhett's shoulder and yanked him to the ground.

"Ah! It hurts!" Rhett screamed, glaring at Sidney. "Sidney! Are you crazy? I'm with the Harris family! Do you really want to mess with me?"

Sidney ignored him, raising his right fist and slamming it into Rhett's face. Rhett's head snapped to the side, blood gushing from his mouth.

"Beat him!" Sidney ordered.

The thugs swarmed Rhett, pummeling him mercilessly. The sound of fists hitting flesh filled the air.

"Sidney! You're dead! The Harris family won't let you get away with this!" Rhett howled, blood pooling around him.

Evelyn, watching from the side, closed her eyes in fear, trembling.

Sidney remained unfazed. "Keep going!" he commanded. As long as Noah didn't tell him to stop, he wouldn't, even if it meant beating Rhett to death. Only by satisfying Noah could he kept his family alive.

"Stop! Please, stop!" Rhett finally broke, begging for mercy. "Please, don't hit me anymore! You'll kill me!"

Despite his pleas, the punches kept coming, each one sending waves of agony through his body. His bones cracked, his organs felt like they were being crushed, and his eyes swelled shut.

Sidney glanced at Noah, who watched silently, showing no intention of intervening. "Keep going!" he ordered.

Rhett, now severely injured, realized Noah intended to kill him. The thugs redoubled their efforts, their blows more brutal.

"Stop! Noah! Please, make them stop!" Rhett screamed, his voice echoing. He finally understood that Sidney was following Noah's orders. Only Noah could stop this.

"Please, stop! They're going to kill me!" Rhett cried, his body shaking as he stuggled to kneel before Noah, feeling death's cold grip.

Noah raised his hand. "That's enough," Sidney said immediately.

The punches ceased, leaving Rhett in a heap, every part of his body throbbing with pain. Tears streamed down his face.

He had never been so humiliated, but his anger was overshadowed by his fear of Noah. This young man didn't care about his Harris family status and had beaten him mercilessly.

Rhett was convinced that if he hadn't kneeled in time, he would have been beaten to death.
