Chapter 385 Oasis Villa

"No way, babe, you can't be serious!" Lisa was still in shock. "The housing prices in Silverlight City are insane. Even a basic house costs over a million bucks. Where are we gonna get that kind of cash?"

"And besides, we're not planning to stick around here forever, so buying a house doesn't make sense."

"Sweetheart, when you're with me, you don't need to sweat the money stuff." Noah took Lisa's hand gently and said, "I don't want you to settle for less. I want to give you the best."

Lisa opened her mouth to argue but ended up just shaking her head. With Noah being so determined, she was at a loss for words. Yet, a warm feeling bubbled up inside her.

Noah led Lisa out of the Hilton.

Meanwhile, a sleek black Mercedes E350L was cruising down the road.

"Dad, it's been forever since I've been in such a sweet ride. I've been stuck in Larry's van for days, and my back's killing me," Sarah said, reclining her seat with a look of pure bliss.

"Of course, this is a Mercedes, after all. Heated leather seats, pure comfort. A van can't even come close!" Daniel, who was driving, chuckled. "Lisa's been pretty rebellious these past years, always siding with that loser Noah. The best thing she's done for me is letting me drive this Mercedes."

"Dad, Noah's not a loser anymore!" Sarah suddenly piped up.

"What do you mean? I heard he's sharing a presidential suite with someone else! That guy's all about appearances. If that's not a loser, what is?" Daniel said, eyes wide.

"No, Noah's not that simple anymore!" Sarah's expression turned serious. "Since he got to Silverlight City, he's hooked up with a billionaire named Bodhi. This guy casually throws around nine billion dollars! Even if Noah just picks up the scraps, it's enough to set him up for life."

"What? A billionaire with nine billion dollars?" Daniel was floored. "So, Noah's turned things around?"

"Exactly. So that presidential suite might not be a shared rental after all. The billionaire could be footing the bill!" Sarah explained.

Daniel rubbed his chin, deep in thought. 'I've never stayed in a presidential suite. I wonder what it's like? If it's not a shared rental and the billionaire's paying, does that mean Noah's the master of the suite right now?'

The thought made Daniel a bit restless.

'And that hand-ground coffee I had in the suite was amazing—smooth and aromatic. That's the life of the elite, living in a presidential suite with everything delivered to your door,' Daniel's eyes gleamed.

"Dad, you're not thinking of going to Noah's, are you?" Sarah immediately caught on to Daniel's change in expression. She knew her father's character well.

He loved luxury cars and big houses and always found a reason to justify it. Like when Larry got a BMW 7 Series after appearing on "I Am a Super Rich," Daniel insisted on swapping cars with him. If Larry refused, he was labeled ungrateful.

When he asked Lisa for the Mercedes E350L, he claimed it was his childhood dream. And there was the Summit Retreat Oasis...

In short, Daniel was always tempted by nice things, regardless of his children's wishes.

"Sarah, you know I've been through a lot when he was younger. Now that I'm older, I just wanna kick back and enjoy life," Daniel cleared his throat. "But don't worry, I'll swing by Larry's too. Even though Larry's having a tough time right now, I still prefer him over that Noah guy!"

Sarah nodded and chimed in, "Dad, even though Noah's hit a lucky streak, remember, a loser is still a loser. He's just lucky to have latched onto Bodhi. But deep down, he's still a freeloader."

"Sooner or later, Bodhi's gonna see through him and take everything back. What Noah's got now is just temporary!"

Daniel nodded. "You're right, Sarah. Even if Noah's living it up in a presidential suite, it's only temporary! So I'll head to Larry's first. I believe in Larry's potential!"

Sarah nodded in agreement.

Dreamlike Hotel was a modest little inn tucked away in an old neighborhood alley, with rooms going for just over ninety bucks a night.

The surroundings were basic, and as soon as Daniel got out of the car, he caught a whiff of the faint smell of a sewer, making him wrinkle his nose as he looked around.

"Larry, Sarah, you guys are staying here?"

"Yeah! Dad, let me get you a standard room. You can crash here for now! Once my bank loan comes through, we'll move to a nicer hotel!" Larry said.

"Alright," Daniel reluctantly agreed, checking into the inn and putting his luggage in the room. The room was small, with just one bed, and the bathroom was shared, a far cry from Noah's swanky presidential suite.

"Does this place have hand-ground coffee? Like the kind you get with a call in a presidential suite?" Daniel asked.

"No," Larry replied, puzzled. "Dad, if you want coffee, I can order some delivery."

"Forget it. How good could delivery coffee be?" Daniel waved it off, feeling increasingly dissatisfied and missing the hand-ground coffee from the presidential suite.

'I should've taken pictures of the suite and the coffee to show off to the relatives,' Daniel regretfully thought to himself.

Oasis Villa Sales Office was the most upscale villa community in Serenity District, with each villa priced at over eight million dollars. Noah and Lisa arrived there.

"Babe, you didn't bring me here to buy a villa, did you?" Lisa asked, glancing at the floor plans at the entrance, momentarily stunned.

"Why not? You lived in a villa at Summit Retreat Oasis, so why should your living standards drop in here?" Noah smiled slightly. Even if Lisa was only staying in Silverlight City for a few days, Noah wanted to give her the best.

And in Eagleland, buying property, whether for living or investment, was almost always a safe bet.

"Welcome to Oasis Villa!" A sales representative greeted Noah and Lisa with a smile as they walked in. The sales rep was dressed in a sleek black business suit and had a striking appearance that instantly lifted one's spirits.

"Are you interested in purchasing a villa?" the sales rep asked with a smile.

"Yeah," Noah nodded.

"Great, let me give you a quick rundown of our Oasis Villa layout." The sales rep picked up a pointer and led Noah to the model display. "Our community is fully equipped with banks, schools, hospitals, and more, all within walking distance of the most bustling area of Serenity District, just a ten-minute walk away."
